FIRST TIME CUSTOMER WHO WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. NO-SHOWS, NO-CALLS, NONEXISTANT SERVICE.
This is my first experience with EnviroTech, and, thus far, it has been a tremendous disappointment. I booked a basic seasonal treatment for my home and was told a technician would arrive between 9:00 and 11:00 the morning of the scheduled day, and the treatment would take approximately an hour. Also, I would receive a reminder phone call the day before. They also seem to try to get you committed to auto pay for quarterly service right off the bat, but I wanted to see how this service went first.
I did not receive the reminder call so called EnviroTech at 8:00 the scheduled day to make sure I was still scheduled. (I took a half day off work to be at home for the appointment. Also, I visit my father at an Alzheimer's center on weekday mornings since it's on my way to work, so I also did not see him that day.). The customer care rep confirmed that I was still on the schedule and that the lack of reminder call was due to a new employee. The customer care rep told me she would call me when the tech was on the way.
At 10:30 I had still not received a call, so I called the customer care rep to see what the tech's ETA was. She called the tech and reported back to me that he would not be leaving his prior stop for another 30 - 60 minutes (and it was a 20-30 minute drive to my house) because he was helping the resident with other unrelated tasks. (Apparently his wife is going to have some surgery.). I was pretty clear about the inconvenience they have caused me and about my displeasure with the company. She told me the owner, a Mr. Leaf, would be given the information, and I told her I want him to call me.
While I am sympathetic with the client's plight as I, too, am the primary caregiver for family members, there is no excuse for the tech not making everyone aware of the change he unilaterally made to the schedule. I have wasted my morning, not gotten work done, and have had to be the proactive party every step along the way. Balls dropped everywhere by EnviroTech. I am sure they will eventually treat my house as I sit here wasting more of my day, but We will see if they offer anything for the time and energy I have wasted on what should have been a no-brainier for a pest control company.
To update my review... Received a call from someone named Mike, who proceeded to tell me how "this is Texas and things run late." I asked who exactly he was, and he told me at that point that he was a manager for EnviroTech. I pointed out that people also have phones in Texas and can call to let you know they are running late. Also that the tech was not running late due to anything to do with pest control. Mike told me he would do my treatment and would arrive in 25 minutes. I made him aware that if he were any later, I would not be at my home since I had to get to work. I was watching for him at the arrival time. He was not here and had not called, so I packed up to go to work. As I was backing out of my driveway, I saw Mike closing his truck door and exiting his vehicle. I pointed out the late time and that I was leaving. He proceeded to tell me that he had been there on time and was ringing my doorbell...which I know was not the case since I was waiting for him at the front window, and I have 2 dogs who bark whenever the doorbell rings. And, again, the tech team -- this time a MANAGER -- seems unable to call when running late, in which case I would have waited.
There was one pleasant aspect to dealing with this company ~ the nice customer care rep who answers the phone. Other than that, AVOID THIS COMPANY. read more
