The service is consistently fast, reliable, and friendly, and our orders are always handled with care. It's become one of those places we know we can count on, which is exactly why we continue ordering from here instead of going somewhere else locally. Great service and consistency go a long way, and this place continues to deliver both. We always order from here for a reason!

Always a good time at C2!…read more I don't always make the trek here, but when I do, I make sure to visit C2. The service is superb. The staff is courteous and friendly, and they check on you during almost every course to get feedback. The dim lighting, personal lamp on every table, and white tablecloths give it the classic steakhouse feel. They used to have these cool light-up menus that illuminated as you opened them. I'm a little sad they don't have those anymore due to vendor issues--it was a small, thoughtful detail that really made a mark on me. The food is great. The steak is always perfectly seasoned--not overly salty or overdone, just right to the point where I don't need to add anything else. Even the roasted bulb of garlic that comes with the steak is perfect for adding extra flavor if I want to. The sides are what you'd expect from a classic steakhouse. One thing that sets them apart, though, is the bread. They always have a great variety, plus a huge helping of butter on the side. If this place were closer to home, I'd probably be here every other month. So it's probably a good thing that it's far away.

Nami Sushi has a really unique anime/comic book theme that is different from any sushi place I've been to. From the moment you walk in, you're graciously greeted by the hardworking servers and cooks. Every time I've been here, the service and food has been phenomenal. They have very fair pricing, even for their all you can eat (AYCE) menu. Their food is served fresh and is very delicious. For my most recent visit, I ordered miso soup, spicy edamame, California roll, Spicy Tuna roll, and the Spicy 2 in 1 roll. All very filling, fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend Nami Sushi in Davis.

Inside looks like they put more effort into the manga decor than the fish on display. More on the food. I got the salmon lover but it was more like the salmon lover who gives you nothing and always leaves you wanting more - disappointing amount of masago - masago is tiny and dry - cuts were inconsistent and unprofessional - the amount of salmon on top was so thin and didn't even wrap around half of the roll... - the salmon inside vs outside are different colors - we got 3 orders of this and all of them looked a little janky and different, especially in the difference in masago (yes I'm very salty) - it was like $17 pre tax and tip - took a while to get, but it doesn't feel bad if you get an appetizer

Every type of sushi and sashimi I've had here has been so incredibly fresh and HITS. The salmon is melt in your mouth. They do a great job at their pairings, which is why I love getting the lunch special. The chef selects it- which I love- and although no substitutions or special requests for this - I explained to the server that I don't eat octopus and they happily obliged. It's also a great deal! For 20 bucks you get 3pcs chef choice Nigiri and Chef Special Roll along with miso and a decent sized salad. Keep in mind the lunch special is only served weekdays 11am-3pm only (not on Holidays or weekend) and take-out served with salad only. They have tea and sake, both which are a must for me (need at least one with sushi!) Everything here is top notch- the fish, the service, the atmosphere, and all the small things in between like the miso and tea. If you are into sushi, this is a must go to!

Ooof that uni was not fresh. I don't know what happened to Zen Toro. It used to be so good, but my…read morerecent visit was a little disappointing. It's a Thursday late lunch visit. I sat at the sushi bar. It took quite a long time for someone to come over and take my order. And it also took a little while for my sushi and sashimis to come out. One thing that grosses me out a little bit is that my soy sauce dish is oily. But I can't wave anyone down so I used it anyways.. The sashimis are fresh. And they give really big pieces too so it is great value. The Madai sashimi still have scales on them tho that was a little surprising in texture. The nigiris are in massive pieces. Which again I appreciate the value. However, the uni was visibly dark in color in some piece. I thought it might be a regional character (cuz uni from different place can have different colors). But upon first bite it tasted a little stinky which is not how it's supposed to taste. To be honest, I would rather have less uni and smaller nigiri if I can just have fresh fish. When eating raw fish freshness is a huge priority. This dinning experience too way longer than expected. And I'm very disappointed in the freshness of an expensive ingredient. I do hope they improve and succeed as it's been in Davis for so long.

The golf course with the rolling hills in the background is stunning. And the whole building at Bahtenta is actually beautifully done as well, weirdly they have the nicest restrooms I've ever seen. The food is typical golf course lunch fare - burgers, salads, nachos, chicken tenders and sandwiches. But they do them well, and they do them with a full service bar. And everyone who works there is always super pleasant. I particularly enjoy their salmon on the greens salad. The salmon is g cooked well and the flavors of the ricotta cheese with strawberries and asparagus pare perfectly. They also have the best fries. Truly. Perfectly seasoned and crispy texture on the outside, pillowy inside. Parking can be a little tough, but just park on the side of the road up the hill if there aren't any parking spots left.

Prices lean higher too. That said, lots of veggie options, I did have to Google a few dishes. Food saved it. The miso eggplant was divine, edamame actually had a spicy kick (so good with that saffron moment), and everything came out looking beautiful. Loved the sweet potato roll.
