It was dry and barely seasoned, in addition. My sashimi was nicely arranged. but, some of the pieces were sliced too thick, and only two of the fish pieces were less than fresh. My girlfriend's meal was also similarly disappointing. Her Shiro Maguro was not as fresh as expected and was full of sinew and made her fish chewy. And on top of all that, the sushi rice was overcooked and didn't have any seasoning, as required in Sushi restaurants that have integrity. The service was decent, but you could obviously see the lack of knowledge and training (which is the management's fault). It's very interesting to me, that they have a very large banner on their building, declaring that they have been voted as the best sushi restaurant in town. That may be true, it is in Woodland. I will admit that I am somewhat hard to please, being a veteran chef for 45 years, and a master sushi chef for a decade. But restaurants who claim to be the best, should stand by their word, so customers can see and feel the integrity of their fully trained amazing staff. I will not Ever return to this establishment. The staff is extremely helpful. The host noticed I didn't order a drink and offered me a cup of water right away; little details like that go a long way. The restaurant is clean, and to top it off, the same person who took care of me made sure to say thank you as I was leaving.
