The appetizers were really delicious and came out fast. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious not to mention a nice ambience to grab lunch with a friend. The service was good. We will definitely be going back to try more of their delicious menu!

Love a good local authentic Lao/Thai restaurant. The food was excellent. Service was a little slower than we had liked and had to ask for our waiter multiple times.

Thai Boat Noodle Soup with Chicken Isan-Sausage...half eaten hehe
    Elaine H.

The Isan sausage is delicious! It's a little sour and it comes with aromatics on the side for a little kick. The Thai boat noodle is also pretty good, I wish there were a little more vegetables. But I love mine super spicy and I appreciate the sauces on the side. It was pretty busy on a Thursday afternoon, they get a lot of take out so the servers can get a little behind. Will definitely be back to try more things!

Woodland historic downtown is so charming. Came here for work and stopped in here for lunch. I got seated right away. There are a few tables and I got in right before the lunch hour rush. It's very clean and the wait staff were very friendly. The menu has plenty of vegetarian options. I ordered the pad see ew w/ tofu and Thai iced tea. I'm so happy they had coconut milk as a non-dairy alternative. It's really good w/ Thai iced tea. They also ask you how spicy you like your food. I ordered a medium spicy, and I'm glad it wasn't too spicy. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area and craving Thai food.

    Chicken satay, tofu, pumpkin curry
    Amber R.

This place was a nice surprise! I haven't tried Thai food is over 10 years & it was a great experience. I tried their chicken satay - a simple grilled chicken with a side of peanut sauce, the coconut shrimp - perfect, & the tofu (a first for me & I'll definitely have it again). We had great service & they were attentive to us. The inside of the restaurant is little but quaint. I'll be back again soon.

    Fresh spring rolls

I can't believe it's taken us so long to try this place! Unassuming front and homey interior, but don't let that fool you - the food here is bomb. The menu is extensive so there's plenty to choose from, and they give you a spice option from 0-5 so you can customize your heat level. They're not messing around though, be warned: I got a 4 and LOVED it, but my husband couldn't handle more than a bite. We started with fresh shrimp spring rolls that were light and chewy and served alongside a sweet sauce and a peanut sauce, and then for entrees we got the chicken larb and a Thai basil chicken dish that I'm forgetting the name of. Both were bursting with flavor, we ate every last bit. Do note, you will need to order rice separately. There was only one server working when we came, but he was incredibly efficient and very welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Fried chicken wings (6, with sweet chili sauce) in the front and boat noodle soup in the back.

Great food and great service! There are not that many tables inside, but lots of take-out orders during the lunch time. Good for a small party of 1-2 people to dine in. The location is at the end/quiet side of the downtown area and lots of parking space on the 3rd street. They told me the cooks are Thai people so they make authentic food. Will visit again!

Found Kuji thanks to Yelp and was craving bibimbap. Lo and behold, Kuji was close to the freeway and provided a much needed break. Located in a strip mall, there is seating alongside the wall and in the front. You pay at the counter and pick up your food. The bibimbap had a healthy serving of spinach (yay!) as well as marinated beef. Banchan is a separate charge, so I skipped that. Maybe it was the type of bowl it was served in, but one of the best things about bibimbap is the crunch burnt rice at the bottom. OMG. I love the texture and the taste. Unfortunately this did not deliver. There was a hint of crispiness at the bottom but not the usual amount that I would have liked. Nonetheless.the taste was spot on and should I get stuck in traffic again would drop by to try out other menu items.

Can't believe it took me this long to write a review for My Burma. Long overdue. The food is excellent and I keep coming back. A few dishes worth calling out specifically: the Tea Leaf Salad, Sesame Chicken, Coconut Rice, and the Pad Thai. Haven't been able to get to anything else on return trips. One note if you're a heat seeker -- the Pad Thai doesn't get very spicy, even when requested. I like extreme heat, so factor that in accordingly. Most people will find it perfectly seasoned. On my last visit I tried the black rice pudding with ice cream. Don't skip it if dessert is on your radar. Dogs are welcome on the patio, which is a great perk. One thing to be aware of: the gate can be a little tricky to navigate -- something to keep in mind if you or anyone in your group has mobility challenges. My Burma has my business. Highly recommend.

That part of the experience was frustrating. In general, the service was not the kindest during that visit, which affected my overall impression. That being said, the food itself has good flavor, and ordering to go might be a better option if you want to avoid that kind of interaction. Instead of calmly addressing the situation, Gordon walked over in a rude, irritated tone and said, "Can you do something?" I told him I was already handling it and redirecting my son, but as he walked away he started cursing under his breath, using foul language that was clearly audible right next to my child. There is no excuse for swearing like that in front of a three‑year‑old, especially when the unsafe cord was left out in the open by the restaurant in the first place. Whether or not my son is autistic, families should never be subjected to hostility and foul language from the owner of a restaurant. If you offer outdoor seating and leave cords and other hazards accessible, you should expect children to be curious and respond with basic courtesy, not anger. The food itself was mediocre, and after that interaction it honestly didn't matter. This was supposed to be a special birthday outing, and his attitude and language completely ruined it.
