I love Thai pepper. I mainly order it through DoorDash, especially when I come home from a really late long road trip and I just wanna have some solid Asian food that I can eat leftovers of. But I like to dine in with my family as well. The lunch options are really affordable. I really love all of the curries and the Larb salad as well. They also accommodate and put more eggplant in the curries for an extra charge which I love. All of their drinks are to die for. The one dish I might not like as much as the pad Thai, because I feel like it is a little too sour for my tastes. But I think they really excel at the stir fries and curries. My kids love the chicken skewers, especially. It's nice that they have other options like soup dumplings that aren't exactly Thai but are great because my kids love a variety. read more

This is the default lunch spot for my team, other than Maria's Cantina. I've been a few times on my own too and like the green curry, green thai iced tea, panang curry, pad thai with shrimp, and basil fried rice. There are a few other Thai spots in Woodland but this is most convenient (walkable street or public lot parking). Service is always great, the waitress definitely remembers us and there is no problem even if dining in a big group. Last visit, two of us shared the green curry with chicken (mild spice), crispy tofu, thai coffee and thai tea. It is a historic building, flickering lights and all but that adds to the old-town feel. I ordered the fried chicken with fried rice as a take out order. This dish was just okay. Most of the batter fell apart. The chicken was not seasoned well. The fried rice was pretty standard...not bad, but also not great. It would be a better idea not to place the sauce container in the take out box as the container melted. Alright Alright! Let's get into the first review of 2026! And we are starting off strong with Thai Pepper in Woodland CA! I heard SO much about this little Thai gem, hidden in going into Main St downtown Woodland! Went inside, very clean and we were greeted right away! The staff working there were SO NICE AND WELCOMING! That is a BIG BONUS and already won me over because regardless if the food was tasty or not, real customer service will bring me BACK everytime! The ambience is nice and gives you that date night with a hole in the wall vibe where you know the food is GONE BE FIRE! We ordered the Tom Kha with added chicken and this was hands down the BEST Tom kha I have EVER had! Soooo goood and they weren't stingy with protein either! Chicken avocado curry was so flavorful and like the curry slurry was a little thick than runny! Seasoned so good and the generous portion of avocado. I had such a great experience at Thai Pepper! The customer service was amazing from start to finish. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, the service was great, and the restaurant had a really nice and comfortable atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, the quality was really good, and the portions were generous. The Isan sausage is delicious! It's a little sour and it comes with aromatics on the side for a little kick. The Thai boat noodle is also pretty good, I wish there were a little more vegetables. But I love mine super spicy and I appreciate the sauces on the side. It was pretty busy on a Thursday afternoon, they get a lot of take out so the servers can get a little behind. I'm so happy they had coconut milk as a non-dairy alternative. It's really good w/ Thai iced tea. They also ask you how spicy you like your food. We ordered the green curry with chicken, panang curry with chicken, red chili paste eggplant dish, Thai-style papaya salad, and fresh rolls with shrimp. We loved all the curry dishes. They had great flavor and spice. The panang curry was my faborite--it was so floral and herbal. The fresh rolls were okay. The papaya salad we didn't love. It tasted too much like garden salad bar. We ordered: Tom Kha soup - this had some spice to it even though we got a 3 out of 5 spice level! It's because the chili flakes kept hitting the back of our throats. I can't believe it's taken us so long to try this place! Unassuming front and homey interior, but don't let that fool you - the food here is bomb. The menu is extensive so there's plenty to choose from, and they give you a spice option from 0-5 so you can customize your heat level. They're not messing around though, be warned: I got a 4 and LOVED it, but my husband couldn't handle more than a bite. We started with fresh shrimp spring rolls that were light and chewy and served alongside a sweet sauce and a peanut sauce, and then for entrees we got the chicken larb and a Thai basil chicken dish that I'm forgetting the name of. Both were bursting with flavor, we ate every last bit. Do note, you will need to order rice separately. A couple years ago, Thai Pepper became my 'go to' Thai spot in Woodland. Then it became my 'go to' Thai spot period (I live in Sacramento). Now it's my 'go to' restaurant. As new Thai places have come to Woodland, Thai Pepper just keeps increasing their appeal. The food is delicious (I like the spicy eggplant), the servings are large enough that there is always leftovers, and the service is consistently great. Oh yeah, the price is LOWER than their competitors. Recently they ADDED an eggroll to your meal. I can't say enough good things about Thai Pepper.
