Nice spot in downtown Fullerton with each seating area feeling a bit more private. Good noise level and ambience for dates and small group gatherings. Ordered a sashimi set and everything was really solid. Yellowtail hits hard, as does the salmon and albacore. Not even a fan of albacore or tuna but it was delicious to me! They have the good wasabi (even the free one is bomb) you can order too. Service was pretty quick given that it was close to closing time. Coming here again since it's nearby for me :)

Came here for dinner and honestly didn't know what to expect, but it ended up being a pretty solid experience overall. The place has a nice vibe inside. Dim lighting, clean setup, and it feels a little more elevated than your typical sushi spot in the area. Not too loud, not too quiet. Good balance if you're just trying to sit down and enjoy your meal. We also tried a couple of their other dishes and they all came out well prepared. Nothing really missed, but at the same time nothing that completely blew me away either. Just consistently good across the board. Service was alright. I had to flag someome down a few times for water refills. Food came out at a steady pace and we didn't feel rushed at all. Not necessarily a spot I'd go out of my way for, but definitely one I'd keep in rotation.

i'm not even kidding their burrata salad and special salmon mango has me in a chokehold. it's literally sooooo good and refreshing and i order it every single time i come without missing a beat. Salmon tastes spectacular and super fresh. service is a little slow from time to time but servers are generally very nice and friendly!! nice romantic private atmosphere!! suitable for hanging out with friends or work lunch or even a date!

Enraku in Fullerton is such a fun, lively spot -- perfect for a group dinner. I came here last month with friends for a birthday celebration (there were about eight of us), and the experience was great from start to finish. Parking can be a little tricky at first, but honestly just wait a few minutes -- with so many restaurants nearby, someone is always pulling out and a spot opens up quickly. The service really stood out. The waitresses and waiters were attentive, constantly checking in, refilling waters, and making sure food came out in a timely manner even with a bigger group. That reminder service makes a big difference. The portions are also really generous. I like to watch my portion control, so I appreciated being able to enjoy my meal and still take leftovers home. Great atmosphere, great food.

I came here for two things and two things only, their uni and uni pasta that was one of their popular dishes: The uni sushi was delicious, it tasted super fresh and it was beautiful (they only charge 2 dollars for fresh wasabi or kizami, which other places literally charge 4, which is amazing!!) I'd come back just to get that, on the side note I did end up ordering green beans with soy sauce marinade or something too, also very yum. BUT, let's get to the uni pasta part. I am not a hater, I have to admit it was very very creamy but the uni was not as fresh as the sushi one, it was brittle and kind of sad. The carbonara (or whatever the sauce was) overpowered the uni like crazy you can't taste the uni even if you individually took the mashed up piece and ate it. I've had great uni pasta before that was balanced enough where you can taste that umami flavor of the uni that should not be hidden behind the carbonara (or again, whatever the sauce was) flavor. Well, anyway, I'm sure their rolls and other dishes are amazing but that one wasn't up to par with my tastebuds. I might be a little bias because I've had others. Other than that, their servers were super kind and always checking up on you. And the vibe was the kind where it's nice, dark, warm, and cozy even when it was bright outside. sooo 8/10 their uni pasta could be better but I'd come back to try their other dishes and get that uni sushi again

New sushi spot in downtown Fullerton with BOGO $1 hot sake and Japanese bottled beer. They also have a sign at the front for $5 specialty shots. The interior is Japanese themed and dimly lit with plenty of nooks and tables for parties of all sizes. Seems like a chill place to hangout with friends and grab a drink before heading around DTF. Their rolls are BOGO 50% off and the presentation for their sashimi is nice.

Good spot, but nothing memorable. Couple diamond in the rough items. Came here for our weekly date night and ordered the basics (sake & edamame). If the rating menu says "slightly sweet", it's going to be very sweet. I would order sake on the dryer side and it may help your taste buds dramatically. The "sweet" sake we ordered was Kubota Junmai Daiginjo. The "dry" Kiushu Junmai Daiginjo was much better for us. The diamonds on rough item was the Bluefin Toastada. Bluefin was incredible with cotija cheese on a crisp tortilla. We ordered the bluefin nigori & sashimi and quality wasn't as good as bluefin on Tostada. I'm currently enjoying a low carb diet and ordered Ex-Girlfriend Roll. There's no rice, but crabmeat with soy paper. This roll was incredible. Very Very filling and a definite order. The other rolls were good, but standard and generic. Nothing else was Great or memorable. 2 orders of Gyoza were also good. Total Bill was reasonable for a couple with drinks on a sushi date. Don't expect service to be the same waiter/waitress. They appear to all work together. Holding out and waiting for one person will have you waiting for a long time. Orders are tracked electronically, so any server can help. I would come back, but most likely for a lunch special or quick date night.

Came here in a busy Saturday night, but we were seated within like 20 minutes. They have a huge menu where there's something for everyone so I can see why there's so many large groups and families flocking here. We ordered 2 rolls, an appetizer (fried corn), 2 glasses of wine, 1 sashimi special, and chicken Katsu udon (pictured below)...and with tip it came about $50 for two people. The sushi roll deal for buy one get 50% off the other is something to take advantage of. I can't remember the rolls my friend got, but she enjoyed both. They don't tell you this, but your food will come out in the order it's made. So my friend was done with both her rolls by the time my katsu was served so heads up! It wasn't a big deal for us, but might be a little awkward if you're on a first date or something hahaha. Overall the food is solid and if you can take advantage of the deals/happy hour, it'll stretch the dollar amount of how worth it the place is to you. The atmosphere is fun and the restaurant is huge so it's teeming with patrons. Service is great as everyone is super helpful. Overall enjoyable and I can see myself coming back if I was in the area. Wouldn't consider this place for a special trip hence the 4 stars!

Started out as 5 star then slowly things went south. We went on a Saturday evening around 6:45pm. Parking lot was crowded so we parked across the street in the free parking structure. We waited about 15 min to be seated. Large restaurant with good ambience. We ordered right away as we were hungry. We got the baked salmon roll, the ex-girlfriend roll and the udon with the chicken katsu. 5/5 the salmon roll was delicious. Came about 15 min after we ordered. About 10 min later our second roll came out which was also good. 3/5 the server only checked in on us once. After waiting about 36 min I waved him down to ask about my udon. He said he would check in on it and that the kitchen was backed up. I wish he had told us that earlier. 45 min after ordering, he brought out the udon and katsu. I was ready to cancel the order. 2/5 the Chicken katsu was cold even though the server said that it had just come out. The Udon broth was watered down and had no flavor. 4/5 service recovery. The server did apologize and gave me a price adjustment on the Udon. Otherwise this review would have been a 3 star. Will probably never dine in on a Saturday evening again, will only order rolls for take out and never order their udon.

Came here on a Friday night with a group of 8 and honestly, it could not have gone smoother. Big groups can be chaotic, but our server Daniel handled us like a pro -- super attentive without being overbearing. He must have noticed I was obsessed with ginger because brought a mountain of it as a refill (elite service tbh). He also made sure we knew about all the deals, which we definitely appreciated, and somehow managed to keep everyone's drinks full the entire night. The whole table just stayed in a good mood -- one of those easy, fun dinners where everything flows. As for the food, not a single miss. Every roll, every dish -- solid across the board, and there were a ton of options to choose from. Shoutout to Daniel for really making the night. Service like that makes all the difference. Definitely coming back.

This is located where the beloved Chomps used to be. While it'll be missed, Enraku is a worthy and honestly maybe even better replacement. I went during the weekday for lunch so I was seated right away. The menu is extensive, like really extensive lol, but that's a good thing. Everything I got tasted amazing, and most importantly fresh. I loved the Yuzu Salmon Tartare, so freaking good and all the ingredients together kind of just melt in your mouth. The salmon sashimi and the roll were also very good. I will without a doubt be coming back to try more items.

TL;DR Delicious eel. Good motsunabe. Beautiful plating, good decor, good service. Food I got the unagi, scallop uni, and motsunabe. The unagi was my favorite. It was so soft and had a charred flavor from the grill. The truffle flavor complimented the eel so well. It was on top of a crisped rice, that mimicked a unagi rice bowl. The scallop was lightly torched and the uni was fresh. The broth of the motsunabe was deep, but a little salty. I wish there was rice or noodles at the end. The presentation was interesting. The small intestine was soft, and the large intestine was creamy. I tried their uni pasta, but I couldn't taste the uni in the sauce. I also wished the noodles were round pasta noodles, but they tasted like kalguksu noodles (korean noodles). Service and Ambiance The service was good. They were busy, and they were still very attentive. I enjoyed the timing of when the food came out. The space is nicely decorated. Although, the music is not my taste.

The food is amazing but the music is INSANELY too loud. It's Sunday, 5pm and our server couldn't even hear us give our order. He was nice enough to lower the music but someone turned it back up. A customer let his kids stand on the counter that plates and trays are put on which was absolutely disgusting. I saw two servers look and not say anything. I'd be back if the music wasn't so obnoxiously loud.

We have been to the new Enraku several times. It used to be Chomp. They have a new menu that does include most of the old items and some new ones. Great fresh fish and the sushi chefs ( Charlie & Kevin) are the best! Also, they kept happy hour which we're happy about. I wish they would bring Sunday brunch back! read more

My boyfriend's and my favorite sushi spot. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal here. The baked green mussels, bulgolgi fries, stuffed calamari, takoyaki, sesame chicken, beef gyoza, and jalapeño poppers are all amazing. We get chef's choice assorted sushi and it's always fresh and delicious. Our servers are always kind and attentive. The restaurant is clean and sleek looking, and always plays good music. They have great specials on beer and rolls. This restaurant is always a reliable choice, and I am never disappointed when I try something new here. read more

This was a cute spot with really yummy sesame Karaage chicken. Came here for lunch with my parents and family friends, and opted for the vegetable udon. They have bento meals that seem like good deals if you'd like some variety. We had some calamari and the aforementioned sesame chicken Karaage to share for the table and they were pretty filling. The restaurant is spacious and is family friendly. There's street parking as well as free parking in the garage across. Credit cards accepted. read more

Located in the heart of Fullerton, this place is very popular for a reason--the food is delicious. The sushi was solid, and the motsunabe (beef intestine hot pot) was actually better than I expected. What I love most is the diverse menu, making it a perfect spot for groups where some people love sushi and others don't. It's great for both casual outings and family dinners. Stopped by thinking I was going to my regular spot but they rebranded to Enraku. Honestly, it's just almost the same but even better. This place has always been a vibe with great music and amazing service. I really enjoyed their promotions which I'm glad they didn't get rid of. Can't beat the price for Buy One, Get One 50% off special rolls. My lunch visit was nothing but delightful. They did update the menu but most of the items remain the same. What I was looking forward to was the newer items as I like to adventure off into curiosity. My newer choices consist of yuzu salmon tartare, Uni pasta, Motsu Nabe (a must have), Tepan style Hot stone (all time favorite), Double salmon roll, Cho Roll, Burrata Caprese and Saba Bouzushi. All the dishes had their own sense of style and not too heavy. Portion is large enough to feed a family of 4. Nothing was out of balance and the saltiness was just right. Special note I would like to make is the Saba Bouzushi and Motsu Nabe. These two tend to sale out quick so get it before dinner time. Highly recommend and definitely coming back. read more

At regular Japanese restaurants, if you just want noodles, it's always either udon or ramen Honestly, I'm so over it. Today I'm sharing another hidden gem: Enraku Sushi. To say it's low-key isn't exactly true--it's right in downtown Fullerton. But compared to the rest of Orange County, Fullerton does feel a little under the radar 1 Uni Pasta It's rare to find this at Japanese restaurants--there aren't many places in OC that serve it. Super happy this place does, and it's delicious! The uni isn't fishy at all, and the cream sauce is rich and flavorful. 2 Scallop Uni I order this appetizer every time. Absolutely stunning--the uni and scallop blend together perfectly. It has a slightly tangy taste that really whets your appetite! 3 Smoked Salmon Sushi This black truffle smoked salmon sushi is amazing! In photo 6's gif you can see the smoke wafting out when the lid is lifted--such a vibe. The salmon is on the fattier side, and paired with the smoky flavor, it's just so fragrant and tasty. read more

The food is not only delicious but its beautiful presentation makes this restaurant a five star destination. The staff brings your experience over the top with a hello when you walk in the door, very helpful and patient when ordering and ready to make your dinner unforgettable. Found this spot near my cousin's apartment. Surprisingly, it's spacious and with a good vibe. The food looks great, staff is nice, and they got a lot of alcohol selections. I love the options that some of their rolls doesn't have rice, so we can order more and eat more read more

What a find!! I can't stress enough how good this place is. The staff - the person that helped us, I wish I asked for her name, was so kind and was genuinely happy to help us. Always smiling; it made our experience that much better. Generally, everyone we interacted with was kind and really wanted to be there. The vibes - so comfortable, great seating, the lighting is perfect, the decor is on point - we were sat in one of the booths nestled in along the glass - you can see outside, it was awesome! The service - super prompt, we barely waited to get our food - water came for everyone immediately after we sat - we didn't even have to ask. The food - the presentation makes you want to immediately dig in. Then you take the first bite and it's delicious; you go in again, and you just enjoy every bite. Simply delicious, high quality food. Celebrated my oldest son's back-to-school today at Enraku Sushi, a brand-new Japanese restaurant in Fullerton (close to Anaheim, not far from Disneyland and Knott's). I came here with my three kids, and after lunch we dropped him off at his boarding school just a few minutes away -- super convenient! Highlights Gurume Premium Sushi -- A 12-piece chef's choice platter with uni, scallop, caviar, sweet shrimp, and ikura. Every bite was fresh and beautifully presented, and at only $49.95, it's an amazing value. If I weren't with kids, I'd love to sit at the sushi bar to watch the chefs preparing it -- such an experience! Bulgogi Hot Stone -- Generous portion of beef with carrots, onions, and mushrooms. Perfectly balanced and hearty; my three kids shared it and loved it. Motsu Nabe -- Rich and flavorful beef intestine hot pot. The broth was deep and comforting, and the tripe was soft yet chewy with lots of flavor. Chirashi -- Fresh sashimi over rice, cut thick and plentiful, very satisfying. Promotions * Buy one sushi roll, get the second half off * Hot sake or Japanese beer, buy one get the next for $1 Overall, the experience was excellent: very spacious dining area (rare for a sushi place), fresh fish, and family-friendly atmosphere. This restaurant is so big first off! It's almost like you can have a dance party as soon as you walk in! Now on to the food and service- food was . The menu is a bit expensive especially in the sushi rolls section. I'm not a huge roll lover so I skipped that page. They offer sushi/nigiri as well and oysters. I needed to go with more than 2 kids to be able to really enjoy myself My daughter had the salmon 3 ways- she loved all 3! I had the mackerel and sweet shrimp and they were super fresh! Also had the Uni pasta which was prepared perfectly! And the kids enjoyed the sukiyaki udon! Service could have been a bit better- they would walk pass us a lot but not check in often to see if we needed anything. Will def be back to check out more of the menu sans kids read more

This place has become a part of our rotation when we're in the mood for sushi or Japanese cuisine. We have our fave must have rolls and love the spicy garlic edamame appetizer. Service is usually just ok (with the occasional need to wave a server down) as the restaurant has been busy the few times we've gone in. It could use 1 or 2 more servers now that it's gotten more popular. We really like the layout and open feel of the main seating room. It has a great lively and enjoyable atmosphere for a date night or night out with friends. read more

The ambiance was really nice as well as the servers, and the food came out quickly. We ordered a lot of rolls because of the 50% off on two roll (I'm not sure if it's going on still, but it's a pretty big part of why I gave this place five stars). We ordered the Snow White roll, Crunch Spider Roll, Spider Roll, Super Dragon Roll, Pork Katsu Curry, Cho Roll, Super Philly roll, and the Spicy Garlic Edamame. The spicy garlic edamame was really flavorful and delicious, and all the rolls ranged from pretty good to really good. The Crunch Spider Roll was pretty good, but the Spider Roll was better overall and had a bigger chunk of crab. The Manager Recommended Cho Roll was a lighter, more refreshing roll compared to the others and the Pork Katsu Curry had very good curry that was not too heavy. For the star of the meal, the scallop uni was very tender, melted in my mouth, and had a nice balance. The microgreens helped enhance the texture of the dish as well, so that it wasn't only the soft scallop and uni that made up the dish. Overall, a very nice sushi place to go to and I would recommend stopping by if you are craving sushi. read more

My family and I used to go here when it was Chomp, and I came here a couple of nights ago with friends and was so surprised to see how much has changed now that it is Enraku! The decor inside the restaurant made me feel like I was back in Japan. The food was insanely delicious, especially the hot night roll, spicy garlic edamame and green beans. I want to give a special shoutout to our server, Daniel, who was so amazing. Especially since we were a big group, he let us know what the deals were, was very attentive, and even gave us a free round of sake at the end of our meal. I can't wait to come back here with my fiance and my family! Hoping Daniel can be our server again too! :D read more

I highly recommend the Cho Roll! The Japanese dressing that comes with the roll is like a savory oil & goes really well with it! I think it has sesame oil & mustard seeds in it. They also have gluten-free soy sauce! read more

We've been coming to this place for over a decade (formally known as Chomp Sushi) but they've really stepped it up with the new owners and interior redesign of the restaurant! Great menu selection and excellent service. We take our kids often and it's a comfortable family friendly place to go. Prices are fair for the quality of fish selection they offer. Their staff is SO nice and our son always loves seeing them they're so welcoming to us! You really can't go wrong with anything you order but our faves are the shrimp fried rice, big scallops, fatty tuna, and yellowtail just to name a few. read more

so this used to be the old chomp. i got the rainbow roll,snow white roll, truffle hunter. very delicious and flavorful. also im obsessed with their chopsticks they give out for to go orders. they are really nice good quality. very fresh. i will deffinitely be back if im ever back in the area. nice bowl of fruity hard candies too. read more

WOW. This used to be Chomp but omg Enraku is so pretty and so much better. The sushi has way more flavor and tastes fresher. The atmosphere is so pretty and reminds me of my trip to Japan. A lot of variety to choose from! There are classic and unique rolls like the coconut shrimp roll which was both sweet and savory. The ex girlfriend roll was surprisingly one of my favorite bites, the fish was fresh and the sauce on it added so much flavor. Udon was standard and comforting, but nothing special. Every piece of fish on the gurume premium set was buttery and tender. While the uni toast was simple and delicious, I don't think it's worth the price point. Sushi quality was good, but the hostess seated us in an awkward table right near the front when there was plenty of booth seating available because we came during non-peak times. Our server was friendly, but she did not really know the different cuts of sushi very well by name and wasn't able to make recommendations. Absolutely highly recommend this place. I was looking around for a new sushi place to try and came across Enraku. They have been around for 20 years apparently but rebranded with new menu items. Restaurant was very spacious and clean. Menus were modern and well laid out. Rolls are buy one get one 50% off so that was a great sales point to enjoy the delicious rolls. The muscles appetizer was delicious too. Service was great but food did come out a little slow on 2 of the rolls but not that big of a deal as it was dinner time. This may be my new go to sushi restaurant in OC going forward. read more

The ingredients were very fresh, the presentation was beautiful, and the overall atmosphere didn't feel like Los Angeles at all it really reminded me of being back in Asia. I may even be one of the first to write about this spot! The grilled smoked salmon sushi was excellent. The fish was tender and fresh, and the smoky flavor was subtle, complementing the richness of the salmon perfectly. I also tried the 12-piece sushi set, which I highly recommend. The variety was both delicious and visually appealing, and the fish quality stood out--especially the scallops and white fish. The creamy sea urchin pasta was another highlight. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the creamy sauce paired with the uni created a wonderful balance of flavors. For small bites, I ordered the fried shrimp and fried corn kernels. The shrimp, coated with potato threads, was incredibly unique and flavorful, especially when paired with the three different dipping sauces. The corn kernels were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, very similar to honeycomb corn in China, and paired perfectly with sake. Last weekend, I visited Enraku Sushi with a friend. I originally came for their sushi, but to my surprise, the dish that completely stole my heart was the motsunabe. The Uni toast and Uni pasta are amazing, and the smoked salmon sushi with the smoke effect is perfect for photos. The sushi platters are beautifully presented, and the hand rolls are a great deal. We heard about this place from our cousins #wakawaka and the sushi was incredible and the sashimi was delectable. The rolls we chose were: the lemon salmon roll, fantasy roll, captain america roll, hot nite, and giant salmon roll and we recommend all of them.
