I think Enraku is my new favorite non-omakase spot for sushi in Fullerton! The decor and vibes are immaculate, the customer service is excellent, and the food is delicious. Parking is always tough in Downtown Fullerton, but it helps that they have their own private lot. Basically you can take advantage of free parking if you get there early enough. So far, I've tried their cut rolls, handrolls, sashimi, spicy seafood udon, and mentaiko udon. All were 10/10 bangers, but I usually don't order the same dishes again just so I can try new ones the next time I visit. Except for their otoro handroll -- that one is a repeat order for sure. We started off by ordering drinks; I ordered the Yuzu Martini and my husband tried the Mango Highball (he originally ordered the Raspberry or Blueberry, but they were out of those flavors). The Cajun Tuna Tataki was good, but it felt overpriced for what we got. Our other dishes were good. Not the best we've had, but we still enjoyed them. The Jalapeño Poppers in particular were unique and turned out to be our favorite. Our waiter was very polite and attentive. I'd come back just to get that, on the side note I did end up ordering green beans with soy sauce marinade or something too, also very yum. BUT, let's get to the uni pasta part. I am not a hater, I have to admit it was very very creamy but the uni was not as fresh as the sushi one, it was brittle and kind of sad. The carbonara (or whatever the sauce was) overpowered the uni like crazy you can't taste the uni even if you individually took the mashed up piece and ate it. Bluefin Tuna Trio quite expensive for 3 pieces of nigiri, but this trio was delicious. the fish was so soft and it did feel very fancy. Finally got the chance to check this place out. Now I have another place to visit when I'm craving sushi! Located in the downtown Fullerton area, there's usually a decent amount of parking nearby. I went during lunch time and I didn't realize they have a lunch special. It's Monday through Friday but definitely check it out if you can! My dad and I went and we shared the premium sashimi dish ($70 at the time of review) but comes with 24 pieces of sashimi. I got a lunch chirashi ($18) and the eel rice dish (forgot what it's called but it was $19). Best deal hands down was the chirashi. It was a decent portion and all the fish tasted fresh and so very tasty! The sashimi was great too, but at almost 4x the cost of the lunch chirashi, I'd probably get 2 chirashi instead. However, the fishes were all great and tasty. I wish they gave a tad more "premium" items. It came with a sweet shrimp and uni for the premium items. No toro though.
