One of the best gluten free pizzas I've ever had. I was a little worried about the wait time, as other reviews have mentioned, but I called early and scheduled a time. It was piping hot and ready when I got there. We had the chicken bacon ranch pizza on gluten free - they have great cross contamination practices - and the baked gluten feee chicken tenders. Everything was delicious. The staff was also super friendly. A great pizza place to stop into in Norwich! read more

One of the best gluten free pizzas I've ever had. Couldn't tell it was gluten free which is always a good sign. My husband has celiacs and can from eat here no issue. They make their own dough in house and you can choose if you want a small or a large!! They've got Hosmers soda and coke products if that's your jam. I ate in today, parked behind the joint and walked up and around. There are a few parking spots right out front and at least 10 people came in to pick up their pizzas. Place was busy busy busy and my wait time for everything was as if I was the only one ordering. I'd say they run an efficient kitchen. read more

The pizza is always SO GOOD. Best pizza in CT. The workers are really nice every-time I go in, and the look of the restaurant is pretty cool too. It looks like a firehouse inside. read more

Coming from ny this pizza was 10/10. Thick dough delicious big slice. Came in for a few slices left with a pie more than happy i did

i'm gonna make this short and sweet. I've been going to engine six for many years. Never had a complaint about the food. I ordered from there tonight and it was the worst food I have ever received. I could've made better pizza and stuffed manicotti if I had bought it out of the freezer at the grocery store. Would not recommend this place at all. read more

Really cool location and love that they kept the fire theme! Traveled to the area with a large group and stumbled upon this place and their sheet party pizza for under $30. Ended up getting that and a few other items and it was ready in 25 minutes and worked out great! read more

Wow. Amazingly good. Abundant sauce and a fresh gooey cheese. Cooked to near perfection, easily one of the top 10 pies I've had, and was well worth the trip from RI. And to that, friendly personable staff, and you have a grandslam. Really the only knock on them is that there's only a couple spaces in front and in back for parking. read more

The idea of a pizza place in an old firehouse is pretty cool. The service was good. The pizza was not memorable.

This is a great pizza shop in Norwich with a big history. Obviously it used to be an old fire station, but it's like a museum inside!! It's wonderful to take a look at all the patches and history on the walls. I had their wedge fries and they tasted really bad. Almost like eating garbage. Won't eat there again

I greatly enjoyed Engine 6 pizza. A couple weeks back I ordered a meatball and sausage grinder from Engine 6 pizza. When I received the grinder it was in such a mess the paper was embedded in to the cheese. I called and they immediately made another grinder which was great. The second grinder was completely burned and I ordered it non toasted. The delivery person, Whose name I'll leave out of this review, saw the grinders and stated he would bring another back to me. About an hour later I called to check on the status of my grinder. I was informed by a young woman that the owner stated I could not have another grinder nor could I have my money back. Then, the delivery person came on to the phone and said I could have my money back. I tipped well, I paid $30 cash for the grinder including tip and did not get a grinder and never received my money back. Unfortunately, I will not be using this company any more. Many of us order from work, I tell them about my experience and they are surprised, but so am I. It's sad that business is done this way. I relied on Engine 6 due to not being able to leave work to get food at least once per week. And the food tasted good. Maybe they got a new cook? Something went wrong. Now I order Chinese. read more

Where do I start? This place is absolutely wonderful. It's tough to find dining that offers truly gluten-free. These folks get it. My friend with celiacs was able to eat here safely. She was in fat girl heaven. She saved half for breakfast. My other friend and I shared a chicken Caesar salad and a white pizza (with ricotta). She was so kind to split the salad for us (the large is a huge portion). The white pizza was heavenly and salad was very fresh and tasty. Thank god I live an hour away because this place could be a problem. Super friendly staff, and amazing fresh food, reasonable prices and huge portions. I highly recommend. read more

By far our favorite pizza place in CT! Their buffalo chicken with blue cheese base is amazing! We've tried quite a few of the others as well(chicken bacon ranch, taco, bacon cheeseburger and the plain cheese) and they were great, the buffalo is just our favorite. I know people have had problems with their delivery. We always pick up at the restaurant so I have nothing to add on that end. The staff is always super friendly and remembers us when we come in! The inside is really cute with a few tables to sit at. read more

Seriously this place should be closed down. I tried one last time to order from here. I ordered online tonight and waited 1 hr 20 minutes. I was being patient because last time we ordered it took 90 minutes. I finally called after the 80 minute wait time and they claimed they never got my order. That is total bogus I received a confirmation email with a number and everything. I seriously think they deicded not to make my order because of my previous yelp review. So infuriated right now I cannot believe these people have stayed open. read more

Great spot to order lunch from, especially if you're craving garlic and pizza! Love their bread sticks and garlic bread and their buffalo wings really hit the spot! I personally think their food is a little pricey for the quality but it definitely hits the spot! read more

Great food and service. Tim makes great pizzas and sandwiches. Never have any issues.

We at a kid's birthday party in our family this weekend. Very impressed with everything engine 6 delivered. We did a few sheet pizzas and some grinders. All The usual suspects. They went out of their way to deliver a little beyond their normal area since we ordered at a slower time of day for them. The grinders were filled with meats cheeses and toppings. The pizzas were delicious and the kids devoured. All of the out-of-town adults wanted to know where it was from. I have to say, I don't usually like sheet Pizza but this was just the right combination of crispy and soft. And they didn't use the cheap cheese so it wasn't too greasy. I highly recommend you consider them next time you need to feed a big crowd. read more

I am amazed at all of the 5 star reviews. The food we ordered was pretty awful. The Greek salad had brown iceberg lettuce and tasteless Greek dressing. The veggie Supreme pizza and the cheese pizza were awful as well. Again, tasteless, especially the crust. Very disappointing read more

Great pizza and sandwiches! Fair prices. Food is ready in a reasonable amount of time.

Both my kids have celiac, and it's hard to find a place that knows the difference between simply having gluten-free choices and actually practicing safe preparation that avoids contamination. We are so grateful to have found Engine No. 6! The GF pizza and breadsticks were fantastic -- some of the best we've had -- and the service was SUPER friendly! read more

Have a good gluten-free pizza in Eastern ct. They make their own gluten free pizza dough and actually have 2 sizes medium and large.

We moved to the neighborhood and have been here 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Our new favorite pizza place.

Employees were very disrespectful to our military. Seem to enjoy the blanket of freedom they provide without understanding not appreciating the cost of it. Oh, and the pizza was subpar. read more

We recently ate here while visiting Norwich from NJ. We ordered a gluten free pizza and gluten free breadsticks and both were delicious. The crust was much better than the frozen GF crusts many pizza places offer -- it's clear they make their own. The owner was also very nice and accommodating when we showed up off hours. We will definitely be back next time we're in the Norwich area! read more

Have ordered from here many times. However, whoever the Girl that answers the phone, and its the same one cuz i know her voice, is the rudest *****. Every time she has taken my order it has been delivered over 1 and half hours later. NEVER WITH ANYONE ELSE. AND i am 5 mins down the street. On the other hand, the delivery guy is always super apologetic, even though it is not his fault AT ALL read more

Recently moved to Norwich and didn't know any of the local pizza shops but my son was sick to death of Domino's so seeing how I drive by Engine 6 on the way to work, we gave it a try. Or I should say he did. After one bite of last night's pizza he took the whole order - pizza and sub - into his room. So I had to try again tonight and got two pizzas, but I only brought one in for him to see and kept one for myself. After one bite of this cheesy crunchy bliss, I can say I forgive him for last night. read more

Our favorite in the area. Chicken bacon Ranch pizza is so good wanted to get two of them.

THE BEST PIZZA IN THE NORWICH AREA! I have tried many different pizza joints, and there are several good ones in the area, but Engine 6 is hands down the best! The pizza is baked to perfection, not over or undercooked, and the crust is delicious. My personal favorite is the Engine 6 special with no onions. This my go-to pizza place from now on. Do not hesitate to give this place a try if you have not been here before. read more

This place used to have really good pizza and customer service but wow have they gone down hill. Don't give us what we order then when we contact them about it they argue that plain buffalo wings come with no buffalo sauce?! What is the point of labeling something buffalo wings and defaulting the setting to plain? How is the customer supposed to know that plain means no sauce at all on a menu option that specifically states in the menu boneless buffalo wings? How stupid is that. Dear god the pizza tasted even worse it was like eating the cardboard box it came in. This place is gross and we will never order from here again. Our order today showed a extreme lack of caring about the product they put out and the arguing on top of that about what boneless buffalo wings menu option should have entailed. read more

Food has been okay but we stopped ordering from here recently due to recurring price differences. When we order our total always comes out to more than we expected. We have asked multiple times if their menu is up to date and always told yes. Nothing to due with a delivery fee either because we have always picked up. If they could get their prices correct we would order again. read more
