a cheese pizza in a box

Wow. Awesome, awesome pizza. In my top 10 of all time. The cheese, crust, sauce, how well it was cooked, everything about it. If I lived closer I'd be there 3-4 times a week. The people were fast and friendly as well. Really don't understand how they have so a low rating, its A+ in my book.

Hot Buffalo Wings

The pizza was pretty good. I ordered the Neapolitan pizza but added pepperoni on it. I will say that they are not greedy with their cheese. Which is never a bad thing. I also ordered the hot Buffalo wings which didn't have enough sauce, so disappointed with that. They were mild and they tasted ok. It was right down the road from the air b&b I was staying at so had to give them a try.

Shepherds Pie

If you're looking for a cozy home cooked meal this is your spot! It's family owned and operated by this Guy Gus and his Son, James. They work hard to make sure the neighborhood always has an fresh, affordable, and yummy option when cooking at home isn't in the cards. Thanks guys!!! My Shepherds pie is great. Came with garlic bread. I also got the peanut butter pie. 14 bucks for all of it!

Asylum St. Pizza is my go to for good, plentiful food and friendly, competent staff. I haven't had a dish I didn't like yet.

Quality has diminished since Gus retired. Used to love their food, but the kid just doesn't have the swag.

Abundant amounts of decent seafood at decent prices. I've eaten here a few times, today was…read moreprobably the poorest reception I've had because I stood at the window being told they'd be there in a few minutes the whole time before I was finally actually spoken to. It was taco Tuesday, so their fish, shrimp, clam, and calamari just tacos were 7.99. I ordered the lobster roll, a fish taco, a shrimp taco, a small onion ring, and got a half tea, half lemonade. This was way too much food, btw. Ambiance wise, it's like a food truck sprouted roots and picnic tables, but at least they have covered seating now so on a hot day there's shade. You order at the window and they'll bring you the food to the table you choose. The lobster roll had decent lobster, not the juiciest but not chewy either. It was missing some toasting on the bun, but it could have done with half the butter. Everything was so saturated that it detracted from the experience and then sat heavy afterwards. Loads of lobster, though. The tacos were each the size of my forearm. There were two overlapping tortillas so it was easy to pick one up and let any overflow fall into the second tortilla. Unfortunately there was an imbalance of dry, floury ingredients to juicy ones. The tortillas were not grilled or toasted, so just raw flour tortillas. The shredded cheese also had a moisture sucking quality. The breading on the shrimp and fish lacked seasoning, thus presenting as flour forward. It was served with a white sauce but rather than being a crema it had a sour cream consistency, and the taco was already heavy after the lobster roll was sitting heavy from all the butter. This left the coleslaw and tomatoes to do all the lifting of adding moisture and lightness to the taco, and there was just too much to overcome. Maybe without the cheese it could have been fine? Finally the onion rings were really good and the side of coleslaw was pleasant to eat. All in all, it's worth stopping in and getting food here. I come a couple times a year myself, try different parts of the menu. Nothing blows me away but nothing turns me away either.

We brought the meals home and it was all absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly and told us how to cool and reheat the bisque. We will definitely return. Johnny was great to deal with.

While having drinks, the bartender recommended Summer Shack since it was our first time here and it's a family friendly restaurant. The restaurant offers a variety of fresh seafood dishes, steaks, and burgers. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. Food and service were good. My husband and I shared the wedge salad. My friends also ordered oysters and octopus. I had the mussels, my husband and friend had the tenderloin steak tips and my other friend had the fish and chips. For dessert, we had the creme brûlée. The food portions were great. We were pretty much the only ones left at the restaurant. It was the perfect place to have dinner with family and friends visiting. I would definitely come back and recommend this place.

It's actually one of the more expensive restaurants on the Mohegan Sun property. The others are high value, this place takes the cash but the portions oof. I'm sure they will blame tariffs, Iran, Ukraine, Palestine or some political issue for it but the fact is the markup is extreme especially even more so for a dive theme restaurant. Example lobster at fish market is $6-10 per lb in the region, in the summer the price is lower. Yet lobster here starts at nearly $80 and up. That's a lot higher than the standard markup. Got the Fisherman's platter portion size not impressed for the price. Taste completely unseasoned, already a horrible start. The shrimp were way overcooked. The Fish bland, and tough, overcooked as well. The scallops good natural flavor, unseasoned and also overcooked. Truly sad cause if prepared right while a bit overpriced probably the closest thing to a fair price it would have been a home run. Can confirm seasoning does actually improve taste if only the cook/chef knew that. Food is still overcooked but salt and pepper does help it go down. The waitress was great that is a plus and the beer was solid. Overall the casino has better options, looked like a cool place had a line waiting for open but disappointing the food was overcooked and bland. Always willing to give another chance but first impression wasn't good at all. Staff is amazing so that's a plus.
