We not only got the part, but Adam helped us install it. He also noticed that a couple of parts on the RC car were installed incorrectly by us. He took the time re-install the parts correctly. Adam went above and beyond by providing us with great customer service! So instead of my son having to wait to use his RC car when we got home, my son can now use his car while we are visiting Eugene! The prices are great and the service is outstanding!!

Well, bullshit! I get home all excited to drive my new r/c truck around and what do I find after I open the box...no battery pack or charger. Clearly NOT READY TO RUN! Do the words "false advertising" mean anything? A customer out and out LIED to me (not the toy store's false) and your employees never said a single word that I would need to buy the missing items. I won't ever be a customer of Eugene Toy and Hobby again....mainly because this is the third time I have been misled and having to make a second trip to the store to return something. NOT good customer relations. I'll be using Amazon from now on. Pretty pathetic!

Like a LOT of white comic boxes. Organization is not the prime directive here, but the selection, new/used/valuable is good and the staff is the right amount of nerdy knowledgeable with out being nerdy elitist - you know the type... "Oh, you just started collecting TMNT and don't know about Groo the Wanderer..." Prices are retail for new stuff. A sleeve and board will set you back $0.25. Collectables are priced in line with the Overstreet guide, but they can be a little optimistic on the grading, so margin hard. I have never sold any used comics to them (hoarder!) and I cannot speak to pricing there, but they are legit is every other aspect that I have dealt with this on. Viktor was really welcoming and helpful, explaining how the commander event works and holding my purchases until we could find out if I would get any store credit (which I did!). The shop is lovely and the fact that they sell art supplies is super cool. Some guy named Chris who was playing EDH as well decided to be a jerk, though. I use they/them pronouns which, tbh, I don't tend to make a big deal out of. When one person at the table referred to me using the incorrect pronouns, I gently corrected, adding that I hadn't introduced myself with them so I wasn't upset. Chris took it upon himself to become hostile, declaring that "I don't use pronouns." (Anyone catch the irony? Lol) Supposedly he uses peoples' names for everything? He also told me he "won't play into that stuff," at which point I decided to leave. We continued to argue for a few minutes with him telling me he wasn't being hateful and that "I'm just being me" (again with the pronouns lol). Anyway, long story short, I called him dumb. This was, as he correctly pointed out, rude. I'm unapologetic about this; I wasn't the one that made a nonsense argument about pronouns. All I did was ask that people refer to me by my pronouns. That's all. Anyway. I got Viktor's attention so I could check out with my purposes and explained that I didn't feel comfortable staying because of the transphobia. Viktor said that such behavior was not tolerated and Chris was asked to leave. I still headed out because I was pretty upset, but I wanted to leave this review. I also wanted to add that the other folks at the table were not hostile, and that one of them actually approached me after to say some kind words.

There's items for every anime watcher or general card game player in my life, and the staff are very friendly! However, there is typically only one person manning the store, and a lot of times, they will start talking to another customer for an extended period of time, sometimes even showing Magic the Gathering cards and the like. Simply, you must be brave enough to engage the person at the rwgister at times. And it is certainly worth it for what you can get!

My husband and I have been playing lots of board games with both friends and family lately. So I had to go check it out. If you're a board game player, need dice for D&D or card sleeves for Star Wars CCG, this place is amazing. They have brand new games, consignment used games, and basically everything you could ever want. The employee working when I went in was super helpful, talked to me a bunch, answered questions, and clearly enjoyed his job. This store is slightly cheaper than buying board games from Barnes and Noble, which is awesome. Usually local stores are more expensive, but that isn't the case here. This makes it even easier to support a small local business and nothing makes me happier than that. Would I return? Repeatedly! I will definitely be back and become a repeat customer. Another great bonus is Xicha and Toxic are just minutes from here. So it's the perfect excuse to grab dinner and a new game for game night in the same trip.

I've been…read morehere a few times when I was home; once upon a time there was a woman organizing a ladies game night and I went to it a few times, lots of fun. They have several tables set up in the back for folks to play games from the store's collection, or you can bring your own and play. They do have a good store collection if you're looking for something to try, or you can buy something off the shelf and give it a whirl! I was here once with someone who was looking for some novelty version of a Catan or something and the guy seemed a little snooty about it... or maybe it was Tixket to Ride? Anyway it might not be a game he plays but he works in a game shop so it would make sense to know about upcoming releases, and not say that it's not something he's interested in so he doesn't know. Board gamers can be snobby, but TTR is good and though it's not my #1 fave (that's Grand Austria Hotel), it's fun. They do have a really good selection of games here; I picked up my copy of Splendor here, as well as the Lanterns: The Emperor's Gifts expansion, and they have many of the standards like Brass, Catan, Carcassone, Dixit, and so on. I think but don't know if they buy used games, so give them a call if you have them. This store is actually the small one from my understanding. Their flagship is in Medford, which I haven't been to, but I think that's also where their distribution arm is as well. I have Kickstarted a LOT of games and it's always cool to see it's coming from Funagain; feels like supporting a hometown/near hometown business. Parking can be difficult here depending upon the time of day, events happening at the store, and events happening in the neighborhood. Luckily the LTD station isn't too far away so that is a solid transportation alternative.
