My husband and I stopped by before the end of our tip to fully wash our laundry and oh my god, everything went smoothly. Not only was it clean but the owners are so kind and help with anything you need. The machines work great and we didn't have to worry about our clothes getting dirty in the machines. This place is super convenient for tourists staying at nearby hotels. I dropped off our laundry around 8 am the laundry was done and folded by the staff by 1 pm. I understand other reviewers had some negative experience with the attitude of the staff though. So. My hotel charges 6 bucks per underwear and 12 bucks per tshirt. A close walk was this place. Now I show up with 4lbs and am told it's an 11 lb minimum. She told me to bring more clothes. I said I'll pay the minimum for this load (as I really needed them done). She says ok Cash Only. It was done by the afternoon. Could have been cheaper (lower min for fluff and fold). Our experience is very similar to the reviewers who left one-star review. If you are looking for clean and folding service (11 lb for $36). Seems like people leave good review. If you are looking for machine service, there is a chance your experience here may ruin your day. When we entered the store (with two kids) the lady approached us asked if we are Japanese and we said no. I then asked her how much for clean and folding service. She replied "it is very expensive. 11 lb for $36". I said thank you and decided to use the machines. While we are waiting for my husband to deliver the laundry detergent, I started to check on how the machine works and I asked the lady how much is the washing machine and she went off saying I asked too many questions (two to be exact) and she is tried by answering all my questions and asked us to go to iDo Laundry. She also mentioned we need to be present during the machine run. We said we are having breakfast very close by so will be back on time. She responded if you don't come back in time, one minute, I will throw everything away. read more

Easy peasy. Two white ass tourists here. We came in. We read the signs. We did our own laundry becauseeee why do we need to pay anyone to wash and fold our clothes for us? We allotted time in one of our final days to do laundry before we jumped to another island. A day when we didn't have much going on (and trust that I completely booked up 7 days for us but was also smart enough to add this in, as it's pretty important). It takes 25 minutes to wash your clothes. If you are doing it yourself 1 load = $5. BRING CASH there's a change machine inside cause you will need to use quarters to operate the machine. The washers are a bit on the small side so if you're a family...good luck. Haha. Nah I think the top load washers have more volume capacity to them and there are two of those towards the back. Actually, now that I'm sitting here writing this when you walk in to the left there are also two large front load washers which are $8 a load. The dryer starts at $1 for 12 min. $.25 for each addtl 3 min. We are just a chill couple with not a lot of laundry. No dresses or dress shirts. Mine was all workout gear (Lululemon) that I sweated pretty profusely in from all of our hikes. So there was sweat-tanning oil-coconut oil and SPF leaving some funky stains in some spots(oh yeah and some red mud from our north shore hikes). The wash didn't get ALL the stains out. But I mean, it was just the red mud spots, that red mud is pretty permanent. Real Talk: the reviews of this vicious women scared the crap out of me. And I really just wanted to wash my clothes. So we made it so we didn't have to talk to any mean old ladies that would put Hawaiian Hex on the rest of our trip. No hex's. Clean clothes. Life is good. Very poor service. At first the attendant asked how many loads and what washer I was going to use. Started out very helpful. But, she speaks very rude and hovers over you. Rushed me to start my load. I said "okay be nice" she said "well im very busy." When I went in to put my clothes in the dryer I forgot to put my dog's blankets in so I brought that to a smaller washer. She agin hovered, two small blankets and she needed to examine it. I told her not to touch it as she was grabbing the blankets, because it smells like dog (she's folding other people's clean clothes). She then proceeded to tell me that you're only allowed to bring clean clothes to wash and for me not to ever come back "this laundromat is for tourist." The best laundromat in Honolulu. It is very clean, well lit, all washers and dryers are operational. Easy to locate, parking on site though limited, and it is safe. When we walked in she asked, "How many loads?" We said 3. Sized up our loads and pointed to the 3 machines to use to save us money. On site machine with detergent, bleach, fabric softener and dryer sheets. There attendant on site exchanges currency for quarters. If one of the machines takes your quarter(s), she is quick to resolve the issue. No need to call a number posted on the wall and hope for a refund that you know will never happen. This place is convenient to the Hawaiian Village. The operator is very efficient, and she will get your laundry done in a timely manner. I read some reviews that said it was "next day" service, but I found that if you bring your laundry in early enough, she can get it done in a matter of hours. Be aware there is a 10 pound minimum, and it is strictly enforced. Be warned there is another laundromat that is NOT full service, and more expensive, nearby. This rating is for self service.and experience. Laundromat that offers full service. It's clean and quick. Had two big loads and did it my self, finished in an hour. The machines are well maintained and removed stains. Owner was nice and friendly. From previous reviews, it seems she's dealing with people that doesn't follow the rules. If it's your first time, there are guidelines to follow. This is to keep the machine running properly as well keeping it clean. It also deters unwanted solicitors. The laundromat itself was no problem, and the machines were fine. However, the Asian woman working for the family was the worst. Her unkindness oozed out of her. If you don't talk to her and just do your laundry, you won't have any problems. However, the money changing machine is broken, so anyone who wants to change quarters has to talk to her. Drop off a bag of dirty clothes for laundry , the lady told me to come back in 2 hours and the cost is $2 a lb. turn out my load is $30. It's pricey but very convenient, we picked up our cleaned clothes neatly fold and in a bag. I was in Venice last year and the same service was ~$12, ironically it's cost more in Hawaii lol.
