Should allow negative stars. Here comes my lengthy review after all the non-sense the school has put my entire class through. I will say there is only 2 instructors that are worth more than working there. So here it is: This school charges around $1600 dollars for the weekend accelerated. Within that amount they are supposed to provide you a book (which ended up having to be purchased online), and a portion of that money goes to your externships. They require all your vaccinations, which isn't a problem, IF YOU DO YOUR EXTERNSHIPS. The supplies they expect their Instructors to use are outdated and destroyed. The lesson plans that are taught do not go into depth on a majority of the subjects you're supposed to be taught to be a successful EMT in the field. This school swindles you out of your money because for the price that is paid in tuition, it should cover and be incorporated into getting new supplies / and teaching material. This school does not do the externships that they boast in their curriculum that you have to get your fingerprint card, drug test, and a plethora of other unnecessary crap that shouldn't be required if it is not going to happen. On that note, if you pay for a school, shouldn't you be in class actually learning and interacting with the tools and instructors to have a better learning environment? Not here at this school. In fact most of the 8 week "accelerated" class was via zoom. If I wanted to learn from slides that anyone with a normal vocabulary can learn I would've just looked to YouTube. Oh wait, I did. I would advise learning from "The Paramedic Coach" than trying to teach yourself from slides and outdated information contained within them. If getting a hold of the administrators for anything school related (if you so choose), whether it be through email, or the student portal, good luck! I'm still sitting with emails and student portal messages left unanswered since the first day of class MONTHS AGO. Furthermore the person I wrote a message to I saw in person never acknowledged the message that was sent and when it was finally answered (2 months since I graduated) I was met with hostility. The thing about it is, I had supplied documentation and uploaded everything this school had asked me too at the beginning of class and is since still "submitted for grading". Continuing with communication issues; the weekend my class was supposed to graduate, it was pushed til the following weekend because they don't have the instructors to teach that school. Also trying to get a hold of somebody to figure out if you should waste the gas to go in person is nearly impossible. If that doesn't say anything about this place then how can I make it more clear for you, reader? This school is a joke and to all of you currently attending this school, I hope they don't lose their accreditation before you take your National Registry. Take your business elsewhere and award yourself a better educational institution such as Phoenix College, GCC, or Maricopa Community College. All these avenues are a better option for the money this school charges for their subpar curriculum and leftover dysfunctional supplies they insult their seasoned instructors with. Good Luck EMSU with the current path you've paved with leftover glass shards, toenail clippings, boulders, mannequin heads, etc..., or anything else that makes a rocky road for students that should be able to look to you for their educational needs!!! You should refund your current students 75% of their tuition (being moderate so you can use the other money to buy supplies) because they're getting less than half the success to be a prudent EMT that they deserve. P.s. should I submit this review for grading as well?

I like the convenience of the course and the refresher of the more in depth skills. I do wish some of the lessons were in person.

This was the worst training I've ever had to renew my CPR skills. We we trained to the test and technical skills were not really done.

If I recertify with them for EMT , will the nremt except it?

I remember years ago visiting the Thunderbird School of Global Management when they had a campus in…read morethe West Valley. And then in 2014, everything changed as Arizona State University acquired Thunderbird, and Thunderbird became a unit of the ASU Enterprise. Since that time, ASU sold its Thunderbird campus to Arizona Christian University, and the graduate programs moved to the ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus to its own building while the newly created undergraduate programs moved to the ASU West Valley Campus until 2025 when they also moved to the ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus. Every now and then, I find myself on the ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus with a meeting in the Thunderbird School of Global Management. There is the Grumpy Mule Cafe on the first floor and the Thunderbird Pub on the fifth floor. There is also the global forum on the first floor with a large digital globe suspended from the middle of the rotunda showing a digital representation of Earth. There are flags on the first floor representing the home countries of all Thunderbird students. The building, opened in 2022, spans 110,000 square feet and offers flexible classroom space and regional lounges with art and artifacts gifted by alumni from around the world. Thunderbird now serves as a significant part of the ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus, which opened for classes in 2006. This campus meshes well with the Downtown Phoenix area as they share streets, parks, and nearby restaurants and stores. In fact, ASU is actively involved in monthly stakeholder meetings with the Downtown Phoenix Inc. (DPI). It helps Downtown stakeholders in knowing what's going on at ASU while it helps ASU to know what's going on around the Downtown Phoenix area. For instance, ASU students and staff enjoy participating in First Fridays while DPI is involved in ASU Welcome Week events. Also, during Family Weekend, Thunderbird hosts Regional Night, which is open to any ASU Downtown students and their families. At the Downtown Phoenix Campus, every student can drive their own experience as they engage in the events and resources on-campus while attending classes, getting an on-campus job, landing an internship or full-time job, joining clubs and organizations, attending many free events and activities, and so much more. The Dean of Students Office (in the Post Office) and the many student services offices at ASU Downtown Phoenix are always there for students, and it's easy to find your way towards graduation and your future when taking advantage of these resources. I look forward to seeing what comes next for such an engaging school like Thunderbird and a campus such as the ASU Downtown Phoenix Campus in the coming years!

But good pizza place across from on Greenway still stands 40 years later-)
