DONT BE LIKE ME! STAY AWAY FROM EMPIRE!!! I too was duped by this horrible company. First, they sent out Chris to give an estimate which was awesome. He was friendly, on time, and gave us a great quote. It was one of the most pleasant experiences I've had since remodeling my townhome. Then the installation part came, well, actually no, it didn't. They called me the morning of our installation and said they couldn't make it to my house. No reason, they just said they couldn't. I was a bit perturbed since I didn't schedule anything for that day so I could be here. Oh well, I called Chris, he apologized profusely and promised it wouldn't happen again. So I rescheduled. Three weeks later (the next available time that wasn't a workday) same thing happens. Empires installers are completely incompetent. They just lost out on $4,000+ all because they don't know how to keep a schedule. read more

- Our salesman came over and sold us carpet. Ran my credit, got financing, and settled on around $1500 for installation and carpet on Monday, June 4th. - We hire someone to come over and watch the house to be there for the installation. No one calls. Ever. I finally call and am told we aren't on the list for install. (was anyone going to let us know?) - After several phone calls, the install is rescheduled for Tuesday, June 5th, and our price is reduced to $1350 for the money out of pocket. - Tuesday, June 6th, I take the day off work and the installers show up and refuse to lay the carpet because the tile underneath is asbestos. This is a 100-yr old house and it is clear and evident that is asbestos tile. It takes no expert to know that. I know nothing about flooring and can spot asbestos tile a mile away. - I call to complain to Empire and find out what the deal is, and they say, that's weird. Then they ask if the tile is cracked. I say yes, it's clear that it is and the salesman could have easily seen that since the main crack is right in the middle of the room. They say there is nothing Empire can do for us. - So now, I have $4300 of credit with Empire and no ability to use their services or products and have to start the whole process over again. - A week later, I get an email from the company upset that I did not "follow through with my sale" and offers me the job for around $1200. I reply describing my experience, frustration, and complete irritation that they are still contacting me. No response. - A week after that, I get an email from the company upset that I have yet to fill out their customer service form. I try to do so, and answer a question that yes, our business is still ongoing (because I am still waiting for a response in regards to the credit line they opened and my horrible customer service experience). I am a first time homeowner, that owns their own business. Time and money are very limited and they have cost me both. This really is horrible customer service with not one person offering to provide an actual solution. I bought carpet tiles and did this myself, no thanks to Empire. read more

If I could do negative stars I would. We had so many red flags and thankfully never made a purchase. When we set up our appointment there was no discussion on our budget, or flooring needs. All I was asked was did I want carpeting or hardwood. The rep came to our home with a bunch of samples, laid them out and asked what was our favorite. No mention of price, or even our budget, he didn't even measure the floors yet. When we asked about the current Buy A Room, Get Additional Rooms For $50 deal we saw advertised, he laughed and said 'You don't want that deal! You don't want that product. ' Um, yikes!! Then when we picked out what we liked while he was measuring floors, he did some writing on his pad, (not walking through anything like installation cost, etc.etc.) and gave us a number that was insane! Again, no knowledge of what we were working with. Then he finally asked our budget and says 'These here are cheaper' noting another set (again, no idea of cost, not one price/sq foot was ever mentioned.) No talk of durability, warranty, good for high traffic areas, you know, things you should know before spending thousands of dollars on flooring. We were done when he said he would call his manager to 'get us a deal' and after some talk, he turned on his speakerphone so we could here the 'we can do this, first time customers' speech and miraculously, the quote was dropped thousands of dollars to match our budget. Of course it was guaranteed only if we agreed to it that day, since this was the free estimate. Of course he gave us the 'I have been in the biz a long time and haven't seen a better deal anywhere' speech. Seriously, trying to guilt and pressure people into a sale? What made things worse was the Empire Today follow up call where I explained all of this and the rep apologized, said he would look into better options for our budget and needs and if it were ok to reschedule and come back out. It has been a month a counting and I never heard back. No shocker there. My friend, whose husband is a contractor and extremely picky about who does their work, recommended ET, so I am extremely shocked by this completely ridiculously and unprofessional behavior and predatory salesmanship. read more

Taking into consideration my current situation & all these reviews, I'm concerned that I've been duped. So far I've happily had flooring installed in 6 rooms of my home. To be clear, my issues have nothing to do with our salesperson (Matt) nor the installers of said flooring. The issue at hand is that despite having a very lengthy warranty, and having laminate flooring inspected and acknowledged to be a valid warranty concern, Empire has continued to postpone the warranty repair/replacement of flooring. I am very disappointed with the way Empire is handling this since the flooring I had scheduled to install in my last 2 rooms is on hold, pending resolution of my current laminate problem. Again, this 1 star rating is for Empire corporate & not to the individual employees who thus far have done their best to meet our expectations. read more

The worst! Don't do it!!! Let's start with the sales guy. Nice enough guy, but stunk to high heaven like cigarettes and so did every sample he brought into our home. We went back and forth over pricing (which FYI the "deals" never apply) We were told 2 days to complete. That was July 29th. Today is sept 9th. They finished, today. I had to cancel doctor appointments for this. They sent a automated call saying they'll be here in about an hour. 3 hours later, 2 guys show up who speak about 9 words of English, brought he wrong pound padding (which we had in our contract) and not enough carpet. They refused to move certain appliances (which per contract they were to do) and showed up in a carpet cleaning van?? Not a empire van?? Later I heard the boss of the installers was fired. I've been spreading the news to all.... Do NOT go thru Empire!!So mad we spent so much money with them!! read more

Bought a new house they told us they could match the existing wood floors. Not only do they not match even slightly I have an 8 foot transition strip across my living room. Down stairs they were to put vinyl plank over cement. They did not bother to even the floors out. We had a wavy mess. 3 weeks later, they came to tear out the floors downstairs and will not give me a planned resolution in writing. I have 2 mortgages to pay and cannot move into my new home. They constantly "send another person" to look at the mess. Finally told them to speak with my attorney. I cannot take more time off work while they decided how to fix the mess. read more

If I could give them zero stars and write this review I would. We have used Empire now for 3 projects. Our most recent project was our stairs. Our initial qoute appointment was on 8/27/20. We scheduled the installation for 9/3/20. On 9/3 we received a call that there was unforeseen circumstances and rescheduled us for the following day. The installers were over an hour late and initially went to the wrong house, not even on our street. The come in cut our stair, start installing slats. We were under the impression we were having caps put on our stairs, based on our conversation and meeting on 8/27. Come to find out Empire doesn't install caps. So they continue and the installer is having trouble getting the end trim to fit into the metal piece. After hours of trying he tells me he'll return the next day (mind you this was already 8pm) and bring his brother who knows more about stairs and can show him why he is having trouble. He returns the next day alone to find out that the trim we wanted at the edge of each step weren't in stock and they would return Tuesday to finish the job. Tuesday comes, I waited until noon and contacted the installer. He tells me that the materials are still not in and his manager was going to call me this morning. I did not receive a call from his manager until 2pm. She indicated that she just now ordered the trim and would have an ETA for me the following day. I waited until Friday afternoon and still had not received a call back. I contacted customer service and spoke to a very nice manager who tried to call the installation manager, no answer. Customer service manager created a ticket and sent the installation manager an email. I spoke with the Customer Service manager again a few hours later and advised I had not received an email nor a call. Customer Service manager sent another email advising if there is no response they'll need to include corporate. I finally received a call that evening from the installation manager, he advised that the material was not ordered on the 4th as it should have been. New ETA is 9/21 with installation on 9/22. On 9/14 I received a call from Customer Service advising that there was a balance of $1040. I explained that there should not be a balance but to call me about a balance when we are going through this mess was concerning. I let her know where we were at with all of this. I was advised that this information would go to her manager and if there was an issue she would call me back otherwise, she was able to take care of it. By 9/21 I had not received a call from anyone. I reached out to the installation manager to be sure our product was now in stock and that we will still be expecting them the next day. Installation managers response was, that he has meetings all day but would call me later. He asked if I received a call Monday from his assistant manager. I advised that I had not heard from anyone. It was not until after 4pm that day that I received a call from the installation manager advising that our trim would not be delivered to their warehouse until 9/22 with installation on 9/23. On 9/22 I emailed the installation manager to make sure the trim was in and we should expect them to install on 9/24, now. The installer did not show up till late afternoon, did not have enough product to finish and would need to return the following day. He returned and completed the job however, they left our baseboards out in the rain and they were ruined. They put in new ones that do not match and are not complete. There are 2 gaps in the steps, the paint on my walls was scratched off. I am now being told I had a bill of $1576.02 but they would accommodation $535.69 for our troubles. Well one there is still fixes that need to be made and how did the balance go from $1040 to $1576.02 but you're sending me a bill for $1401.33. If you ever need flooring. Don't bother here. We've had several friends meet with Empire but the sales men were just that and pushy so they did not move forward. We looked pass that recognizing they have a job to do to put food on the table too. We too, will look elsewhere from now on. read more

Nightmare does not even begin to describe my experience with this horrible company. Their sales person beefed up his vinyl samples so we didnt actually get the product we thought we were paying for. The aesthetic was right but the padding wasn't. By the time we knew that though they had ripped out my bathroom, kitchen, dinning room and laundry room and applied a cement type product over those floors. Then they go to bring in the vinyl and the padding was wrong. This was 7:30p.m. so we let them install it and assumed that Empire would work with us to resolve the issue of the actual product. No...guess that was just a pipe dream. It just got worse from there. We gave them multiple opportunities to fix their mistakes and they could never get their shit in order. Also, they subcontract their work and products so basically all you are paying them for is being the middle man organizing the install - except they can't even do that right! Over 22 hours of my time dealing with their shit! Save yourself time, money and frustration and hire an installer yourself, pick out your product from somewhere local. These guys should not be in business! read more

I had a wonderful experience with O.G., the sales rep for Empire Today. He called a half hour before his arrival and greeted me professionally at the door. He brought enough samples for me to find the product I wanted and he let me take my time comparing them, while he measured. He then candidly answered any questions I had. I narrowed the choice to three different products which he then priced, reflecting the complete job including tax and discounts. I went with the mid range, which he then reduced the price even more. His prices were so much cheaper than the other companies quoted prices It was ridiculous. He even compared my choice to the samples I had from the competitors and showed me the differences. He said to pay him after it was installed to my satisfaction. If the installation goes as well as the measuring and choosing, I will be more than happy! UPDATE: It has been a week since our carpeting was installed. My wife just now exclaimed "I just love this carpet, it is so soft to walk on!" The install went really well, they called an hour before arriving, worked without stopping all day, walked through with me at completion and answered any questions I had. Very pleased! Empire Customer Care called me today to see if I was happy! I highly recommend them with 5 stars! read more

Edit to add: They did contact me to repair the door knob plate, they wanted to send the installers back to try to fix it. I refused because I couldn't risk any further damage because the house is pending a sale. *** Used them through our realtor for good pricing. When did carpet buying become car buying? Salesperson was great, but quoted 10k for less than 2000 sq I thought was super high. She 'had' to speak with the manager to see about getting a better deal. Yes, yes I know how car buying works. Talk to your manager. Whhhaaat? Wow! you'd really knock it down to $6400k? What a swell manager! Ok the car sales tactic was silly but in the end we got it significantly lower than original quote. Funny thing here is we told her our last horror story of carpet installation from a big box store brought their kid to help after he took a dump in our bathroom, she assured installation crew is professional, I'd at least hoped. Hoped. They came early! This is looking gooood! Even with the bad weather, light misty sprinkle threatening to change quickly to a shower. Wait you want my furniture to go where now? Outside? Cause it will be easier and quicker? Then what happens to my damaged items from the rain? No. Furniture remains inside. Spanish not my strongest subject in school, I took first year twice. However, I do know "pinche" is not a good word. My four year old was with us during the installation and good thing she didn't ask what that word meant every time it was said which was more than once, I lost count after five or cinco times. Realtor and photographer showed just as they finished and husband went scrambling with one of the installers to do the walk through. Husband pointed out closet door was crooked, installer's reply,"we found it that way." Door handle crooked- "We found it that way." After everyone left my husband spent two hours fixing what was wrong with all of the "We found it that way." issues: sliding closet doors for two rooms were switched, nails were left, front steps to house (we cleared the garage for them to go through to protect the front deck) were scratched, laundry bifold door was not even attached properly on track just leaned up against the washing machine, the doozy was a screw to the closet door track was broken and instead of finding another one someone used a nail instead. A desk drawer was broken. But remember..."We found it that way." Then the topper was going back to see the crooked door handle plate, it was actually twisted! How did that happen? Probably the weight of all the other doors leaning on it. How can we even get a screwdriver in to fix it now? Husband is a numbers guy not a handyman. And if an installer finds something weird that doesn't want to get blamed for, bring it up-"We found it that way." Well yes you did after you broke it. "We found it that way." Well yes you sure did after you put the wrong doors on! If you can get over the car sales tactic, don't understand foul language in spanish, and still want to take a chance, then my suggestion is to remove your own doors and furniture and maybe offer them lifting help to not scratch your front porch. Before all this we had told her we would use her in our new house for 3 small bedrooms but not after this experience even if I were to remove my own doors...y se un poco de espanol. No gracias. read more

They sent a commission base salesman to my house. He would not tell me the price of the floor per square feet. He said I can't tell you that, I can only tell you how much for everything with Installation and he kept asking me how much did I want to spend and was very rude. When he saw that I wasn't falling for his tricks he got mad and just left . The next day his supposedly "manager" called me and he was even more rude . He did nothing but argue with me over the phone. read more

We ordered carpet and had an installation scheduled. The day before we got a text confirming our install the next day. At 4:00 PM on the same day we got the confirmation text we received a call that the carpet we selected was not available. I was on the phone for an hour and was offered 20% off. The individual said he would process the difference that day and to allow 7-10 days for it to credit to my card. We had our salesperson out again and made a new selection. The sales rep was the only positive in this entire debacle. We scheduled for Saturday and again on Friday received a text that our install was happening. Shortly after receiving the text we got a call that it was scheduled for Tuesday. I immediately called and was informed that once again the carpet we selected and had already paid for in full 2 weeks prior was not available!!!!!!! I cancelled the entire order since Empire does not understand inventory management and we were not about to do this again. Additionally, I went to look at my credit card statement today to make sure the first 20% off had posted since it had been 10 days...nothing. I called and was informed that all of the credits were issued last Friday which means the individual who gave me the "20% off" did not issue a credit at all. Quite possibly the worst experience with a retail company I have ever had. To top it off we have selected a similar carpet at Home Depot and are literally saving 40% off what we were quoted by Empire. Do not recommend!! read more

I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance to get estimates for carpet and wood floor installation in a home approximately 3,500 sq.ft. on Bainbridge Island , WA, a few hours before the scheduled arrival time they called and canceled. I was called back by Empire requesting to re-schedule, I did so for the following day between 7-9pm which involved me taking the last ferry into SEA. No-one showed or called to give any explanation or apology. I would NEVER even consider this company again. Beware of their deceptive and underhanded practices. Nobody should have any confidence that they will do what they promise with ANY level of professionalism or quality. Bad business practices. the vinyl tiles were nice, installation wasn't great: no baseboards installed, there were spots were the empty space was filled up with grout instead of a better cut tile. THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A CARPET MANUFACTURER I HAVE EVER HAD. (AND I AM A COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL INTERIOR DESIGNER). I ordered carpet strong carpet (for my tenants in a duplex I own) - took a day off work- carefully planned out during demo and installations when the carpet would be installed. The empire today installers came and brought only enough carpet for two rooms. The one installer did one bedroom correctly- didn't ruin the baseboards besides some scuffs and paint chips off, which I expected and was fine with) The other bedroom the painted wood molding/quarter round is in shreds. I had to pay an additional amount to the contractors to re-do the bedroom, pay for more quarter round and paint the baseboards again. Then they come the second day I had to take off work, and pushed back a whole 2 week of potential tours because they couldn't get to my property for almost 2 weeks. AND BROUGHT CARPET THAT ISN'T EVEN THE SAME COLOR OR TYPE OF CARPET. The carpet pile is soft and plushy and might last me maybe 6 months with tenants whom are allowed pets. So I have paid 2,000.00 for carpet thats not even mine, let alone carpet that will last me maybe 6 months before I have to spend my own money replacing it. I have also called almost 1 a day for 3 weeks- Stay on hold- get transferred 3 times- tell the same story over and over they tell me they will call the next day and never do. I have called to see if I could have a partial refund for ruining the bedroom molding- and nothing has been done in 3 weeks. I am strongly disappointed that this is the service they provide to customers. read more

Wish we had not used this service. The initial salesperson was knowledgable, but we had issues beginning with the installation which was very, very sloppy. As someone else said in their review - the installers are all sub-contractors that are not responsible for responding when there are issues. There was fraying on the edges of the carpet around the corners of the room and up the stairs, and very soon after installation, there was fraying along a seam. There were also bubbles on some of the stairs where the carpet was not laying flat. We contacted Empire quickly and they sent someone to fix it, which we thought was great. However, he fixed the bubbles with a staple gun and used scissors to cut any fraying carpet pieces. The bubbles are gone now but the fraying remains. We have had plenty of back and forth with Empire, they suggested replacing the entire rug "at discounted prices" but we just want the seams repaired by someone other than the initial installers. We are now out of the one year warranty window and they refuse to repair the issues without charging us for the repair. I should have known that there would be a warranty window and that is my fault. I am still VERY frustrated that they won't cover the repair since we have had issues since day 1. Take your business elsewhere, please! read more

Do not do tile with empire. We have done our hardwoods and carpet and have nothing but good things to say. Do not do tile. We had both are bathrooms done and after multiple calls and two installers come out on separate occasions, the work is still not good and we do not feel we got our moneys worth. The installation took two days and on the 2nd day, the installer could not put the toilets back, which was apart of the project, so he said Empire would pay for a plumber to come out and fix them and we would also get a refund. We had a plumber come out that day after calling Empire. Empire finally called back and said that the installer was wrong and they would not pay for a plumber (even though it was apart of the install). However, the tile work was still not done, the tiles were and still are, unaligned and the grout is almost nothing in some places. There customer service department could not give us a straight answer for a week, we finally got another installer to come out to fix the grout and the misaligned, cracked tile, however it took him 4 hours to cut one tile! After that he didn't even re grout the bathrooms, just one section of one. Do not use empire for tile! We feel cheated and we are paying monthly for something we are not happy with. read more

Update: 9/18/20 Wish I could revise to less than a 1 star. Received another call from customer service asking if I would like to re-schedule. I explained that looking at the reviews missing appointments seems to be a problem in their company. His response was "We have been in business for 60 years and we will be in business for another 60. Do you wish to re-schedule or not". ...... Not!!, I don't believe they will be around for another 60 years. This is definitely NOT the company I grew up with in Chicago. Missing appointments happens, that's life, the lack of communication, attitude, and obvious (based on reviews shown here) disregard for customers time is a huge problem for this company. Good luck if you choose to take a chance. 9/17/20 We made an appointment for an estimate. Had to wait a week, which is fine. Unfortunately, at least once a day I was called or texted to remind me about my appointment.... ugh. They had an option to "opt out" of the calls so I jumped on it only to be told that it could take up to two weeks to remove me from the system..... ugh. I took off of work for a 3-5 appointment window. At 4pm I received a call saying that they were not going to be able to make it and asked me to reschedule. I asked for a supervisor and once again was asked to reschedule.... ugh. Very disappointing. Not a good experience. read more

We should have read the reviews before we fell for the lowball bid and "lifetime guarantee" but we didn't. So, 6 weeks after install our carpet looks worn, as if it were many years old, even though we never wear shoes in the house. Not only is the pile matted but the seams are showing ... badly. When I called their customer service to activate the warranty, I got the run around. Weeks of missed calls and unreturned emails. Finally they told me to just have the carpet cleaned. Which seemed like inadequate advice for the problems we were having but, okay, we hired some cleaners and had it cleaned. The cleaning did *not* improve the carpet and now I'm back in the customer service phone call go 'round, with the sinking feeling that we're just screwed. Save yourself this trouble and buy your flooring someplace else. :( read more

Suffice it to say I was really upset, but I called again to reschedule for the next Saturday. Guess what, they again were a no show no call. Doesn't deserve 1 star but it wouldn't allow me to select no stars. Had a salesman out to give an estimate on our condo. To start they try to scam you by providing a 50% off discount... I scheduled a free estimate for flooring in our house, the on the automated phone system that they use worked great. And the live phone customer service agent was also pleasant to talk to. However the actual agent that came to do the measuring and estimate, did none of those things. She was in the house for about 5-8 minutes, did a cursory walk around and told me that because our floors are not level we have only the option of carpet or bathroom type linoleum. We currently have laminated wood floors and carpet; she said that laminate or wood will buckle and not be good (our current floors are NOT buckling)... I was less than impressed with the quality of the walk through and for a sales person they did not even TRY to sell me anything or even show samples of material. I would NOT recommend them to anyone trying to re-floor their house. read more

Like many others my experience with this company has been less than favorable. First of all, the price seemed extremely high for what I needed done but it was presented as a deal due to the 50/50/50 sale that they have going on. After paying 10% to secure my installation dates (2) separate days due to laminate and carpet work being completed I was given Tuesday and Thursday as install days. Tuesday comes along and I receive a call that they had bad news, due to too many sick calls no one would be coming today. Wednesday the contractor shows up to install the laminate and no work can be performed prior to securing the full balance of the job, he has to call their corporate office and read off my banking account and routing number like 8 times to someone who has selective retention. Finally, after literally an hour he starts to install, I go about my business only to find out like six hours later after my kitchen and living area look like a kindergarteners canvas that the laminate is defective and will not stick together properly. So, he informs me that the sales rep will have to return in order to sale me another laminate. I call Empire and the rep informs me that a lot of customers have called with complaints on this particular laminate, I ask why do your sales team continue to sale it than? I have a couple of choice words to share with the sales rep and demand that the salesman returns to my home that evening in order to let me pick out another laminate to install the following day. The salesman returns and gives us another look of the laminates, we pick another one and we are informed that it would be installed the following day with the carpet. So, Thursday the laminate contractor shows back up, very professional guy, however; once he begins to install I notice that he's having a lengthy conversation on the phone with the office. I ask if there is ANOTHER problem and he informs me that there is another defect with the laminate. This time the print repeats itself and apparently got mixed with other batches. Therefore, he has to stop mid way through completion of my kitchen in order to go all the way back to Empire in order to retrieve more laminate, I ask why can't someone bring it from Empire? He responds, he only has a car and it won't fit, so, instead of completing the job on my kitchen, living room, bathroom and laundry room he will have to complete only the kitchen and living room due to the time lost retrieving the materials and will have to come back tomorrow for four to five hours. Notice how I'm failing to mention the carpet installation? They have yet to show and it is 3:03 on Thursday (the day of the installation) I called Empire and spoke with the contractor, he informed me that his other job had heavy furniture and that he probably wouldn't be done until 4! I said okay, you coming afterwards? He said I will call you later. I said be straight up, you coming today or not, he responded probably not! I missed three days of work for a half done job, my son has his middle school graduation tomorrow that I am in danger of missing due to these misfits... Do not be fooled by the commercial, these bums are worse than your local handy man. So, sooooooo Disappointed and disgusted! read more

Great customer service. The installer was professional, polite and worked quick. Overall excellent experience.

Five years ago I paid extra for 20 year wear on the carpet and premium padding. The carpet had matted down and the padding was flattened before I even had it paid off at the four year mark. It already looked as bad as my old carpet. Not impressed. read more

Absolutely do not use empire. 2 no call no shows 2 days in a row with no explanation or any solution other than we can reschedule and give you $50 off. I took two days off work to be there and they still didn't show up or give an answer and really seemed like they honestly don't care at all about you inconvenience. Not at all how business should be done at all. Will never ever even think about using empire and I'll make sure to suggest everyone I know do the same read more

They will definitely be persistent with phone calls after providing free quote. However, I thought the quality of work that was done and attention to detail were really great. They also were available a full 4-6 weeks sooner than Home Depot. read more

Used them years ago with no problem. Scheduled an appointment to install. Confirmed it twice and waited at the property half the day (they give me a window of 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Went home for lunch and noticed the installer called. Tried calling back but no answer so I called the 1-800 number where they told me they didn't have time to do my install and would get back to me within 24 hours with a new install date. So I wasted a day and who knows when they will decide to fit me in to their busy schedule. I ordered this 20 days ago. Apparently they do the big jobs first and try to fit in the smaller jobs in whenever they have time. So if you care about your time not being wasted find another company read more

We made the mistake of using Empire for one of our bedrooms. Within a few months, the carpet started unraveling from the door because it wasn't tacked-down correctly against the threshold. I called Empire and they said they would be happy to come-out and fix it, to the tune of $90. I think not! This company is a complete sham and uses the absolutely worst of inferior Chinese-made materials and the cheapest of shoddy labor to install it. Their 'deals' are the stuff of bait and switch tactics ...and you'll always end-up paying more for inferior than they quote. Stay completely clear of this miserable excuse of a business. Go to Lowe's or Home Depot ...ANYBODY BUT EMPIRE! Unless of course, you're fond of miserable experiences. Below is the carpet damaged due to the Empire installer's lack or even understanding of 'workmanship' and even spend the 5 minutes needed to seal the carpet edge before pressing it against the tacking strip. But, in his defense his job was to install this cheap, shoddy Empire carpet anyway. Not what we signed-up for ... read more
