While the specials remain one of the few bright spots, the broader experience is less than impressive. The kitchen was notably slow, the pizza arrived with a burnt bottom crust, and service is inconsistent. Most concerning is management's response to a routine question regarding a service charge... rather than addressing it professionally, the matter was handled with unnecessary hostility and followed by an inappropriate private message. A restaurant's leadership sets the tone for the entire operation, and based on recent experiences, that tone appears to be contributing to the establishment's downward trajectory. The flavor was very bland-- mostly just tomato sauce and cheese without much depth-- and the crust was overly doughy, almost undercooked. The bigger issue was the service and overall operation. They're listed as opening at 11 AM, but when I arrived with another customer, the doors didn't even open until 11:10 AM. Even then, they clearly weren't ready to be open. There were no slices available, and it didn't feel like they were anywhere close to being prepared for customers. The atmosphere didn't help either. The interaction felt somewhat rude and dismissive, with a lot of excuses instead of solutions. There is a sign stating "no public restrooms," which I initially didn't realize also applied to paying customers. During my visit, two different people came in asking to use the restroom-- want to use it in another just to wash their hands-- and both were returned away. After the second request, the employee put "out of order" signs on both of the restroom doors, which felt misleading. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and underwhelming. The food is mediocre, and the service doesn't make up for it.

Empire Pizza is one of my husband and I's favorite places. We moved out of Greeley a few months back and still compare other places to it. When we make our way down there again we will definitely make a point to visit. My favorite pizza I ever had there had meatball slices, cream cheese, and onions as toppings, but even their plain cheese is just fabulous! The best pizza I have had in the twenty years I've lived in Greeley. The crust is crisp and the pizza itself is not overly saucy. In addition, the sauce does not overwhelm the fresh taste of the rest of the ingredients. The cheese is the right kind of gooey (sans being overly greasy) as it's stringy flavor waterfall cascades off the edge of the proselytizing pizza slice. Heavenly! I am in gastrointestinal rapture! read more

And boy was I glad I was persistent! I ordered the 12" calzone stuffed with mozzarella, ricotta, cream cheese, tiny little meatballs and jalapeños with pineapple. Not my usual kind of thing but man! Was this thing good. The jalapeños got a bit spicy after a while so I dug them out, but everything was fresh, hot, crispy, cheesy ooey gooey melted perfection. The sweet pineapple and cream cheese really offset the salty cheesy goodness to perfection. HUGE too! Served with tons of really good marinara. - And just so you know I lived in NJ for YEARS and am accustomed to NY style pizza so I'm fairly picky when it comes to pizza-ish foods, but this really was really good! I also got a pepperoni roll which was the size of my fist and cheap too. Like less than $2 bucks. It's a pocket of fresh hot baked pizza dough filled to oozing out the sides with ricotta, mozzarella and slices of pepperoni. Really good. I could very easily order just 2 of these, and call it a meal with an ice cold New Belgium beer. Also I got the Cheesy Ram Bread, which are 4 generously sized fresh breadsticks baked golden with tons of melted bubbly mozzarella cheese.
