I've eaten here a few times over the last decade or so while staying in g Greeley. The pizza is good, thin crust style pizza. At some point, they eliminated Hawaiian from their menu, so if you like Hawaiian style, you're SOL. It used to be one of their best pies. We ordered some large orders of 8 or more pizzas a few times for business meetings and they got our order wrong every time. Calling to resolve issues was tedious, but they did get is taken care of. He would only make eye contact with the person I had walked in with, I reached out to take my pizza and they make a detour around the counter to hand it off to the guy I had walked in with. Horrible service. After an hour waiting for our delivery, I called. I sat on hold for twenty minutes. I called back. My order was sitting there, and I was told it was for takeout, not delivery. I ordered delivery, as I was not able to go get it. When I asked for them to delivery it, the workers REFUSED. I was told I could cancel and reorder for delivery. I cancelled. The food was very old school and rustic. Definitely a local place. I had a basic pepperoni pizza and salad. Our friends had the Italian nachos and pretzel bites. Service was okay and the place was pretty empty because it was a weekday. Typical college town with an old video game ambiance. With classics like Galaga and a shooting game that involves hunting. I have been ordering pizza for years from Empire State Pizza. The pizza's we order are never consistent. Sometimes they are amazing... reasonable amount of sauce and toppings. Tonight our pizza's were a disappointment. Paid over $100 for two pizzas and 2 orders of pizza rolls. One pizza had the toppings only in the middle of the pizza leaving 2-3 inches of dough, some sauce, and some cheese only on the outer edges. The other pizza was to have double onion and bell peppers, but came with less than I have gotten over the years when ordering just onions and bell peppers. I paid a lot and didn't get any extra. Our pizza's were cold when we brought them home. We live 2 minutes away. The new website is challenging. After ongoing challenges with ordering on line, I finally clicked to complete the order and pay. The dreaded 404 error came up and my order was lost. The workers were nice the multiple times I called for website assistance. Please work on consistent toppings, covering the entire pizza with toppings, and be reasonable with the amount of toppings. For the additional cost we are paying when ordering double toppings, please actually put double toppings on the pizza. read more

This place has great pizza. The large pizzas are as big around as a truck tire and delicious. I suggest the Rockefeller as it is pretty awesome. How can you go wrong with pepperoni, bacon, and cream cheese. The restaurant could use a deep cleaning as it's a little dirty but not terrible. Ambience is that of a neighborhood pizza joint where I grew up on the east coast - video games - pool table - music (digital juke box ). Pizza was on par and very good - Classic NY thin crust pizza. First, the customer service was excellent from the moment I stepped up to order our 14" Pepperoni, Bacon and cream cheese pizza, with well done crust, and the small house salad that was big enough to split. The gentleman that took our order suggested he give us a frosty cold extra bowl because he knew we were splitting the salad. He did a great job of looking after us the whole time we were there. Both the Pizza and the salad were perfectly made and delicious. The pizza toppings were plentiful plus the salad ingredients were super fresh and crisp and the Blue Cheese dressing was excellent! The restaurant is obviously in an old building, but it was very clean and well kept, and has the atmosphere of a college campus pizza restaurant--which it is! Best pizza & Salad in town! We left a really good tip because it was worth it and you should, too! We've been here before but we've never left a review, so it was time we did! We're looking forward to our next visit! read more

I first heard about Empire State Pizza from a coworker that was coming to get slices of pizza here for lunch. I decided to come here after looking at the menu online and seeing that they have gluten free options. For those who are allergic to gluten they have a regular gluten free crust, and they also have a gluten free cauliflower carb saver crust, which I highly recommend. The 14" gluten free cauliflower crust tastes amazing and is fluffy like traditional crust. You should try it out! After getting the gluten free cauliflower crust, I have kept coming back time-after-time and I never get tired of it! So good! When you come here, you'll always see them tossing the pizza dough in the air, which is great to see. The sauce on their pizza tastes amazing and will keep you drooling for more. Everyone that works here is super nice and helpful. The prices here are good and they even have deals that arise from time-to-time on their website. If you want to come with friends, they have tables you can sit at, a soda-on-tap machine, all kinds of video games, and pool tables to hang around. This is my favorite pizza place and I highly suggest you come to Empire State pizza to have some pizza too. Everyone in the area knows that this is the best pizza place around! The also tried to nickle and dime me for a drink. I was told it was odd I didn't want a drink. They have cauliflower crust that DOES NOT taste like cardboard, and a wide variety of toppings! I'm a huge fan of green chiles on my pizza, so I was sold. Didn't have wings but there is a place next door--- like there is a door you walk through and BAM you are there!!!! So one stop shopping and they do have some beers on tap available but mostly local.
