We decided on several jarred sauces to save for future use, gelato, and then fresh sauce, fresh pasta, and then their prepared sausage and peppers. We made all the fresh items that night and were blown away by the quality and flavor. It was so much better than Italian food from local restaurants and so fun to prepare at home. They also had super cute items that would make nice gifts. We can't wait to try more options as everything looked amazing!

As soon as I see Fabio's little building I call my wife to ask if she wants me to pick up something from there. It's our number one place to buy excellent pasta in a variety of sizes. We also will get their different Raviolis as well. We mix and match the different sauces each time and are always happy with the decision. We have often changed our dinner plans to go with the pasta. A salad, and a nice bottle of wine from my cellar... It's the American plan. They also have a spot at the outdoor market on Buffalo Speedway every Saturday, and the first and third Sunday in Rice Village...the second and fourth Sunday in the Heights. It's good stuff so I give it ***** stars. Be there or be square

I really wanted to like this place. I first tried their pasta when a friend cooked it for me, and…read moreit was great, so I went there myself. I bought lobster ravioli, four-cheese ravioli, and pasta sauce. Lobster ravioli is $2.40 each so I paid $24 for the box. When I opened it to cook, I only found 9 ravioli inside. I wouldn't have written this review if it had been just one missing. Then, when I put the cheese ravioli in boiling water, I found a bug floating in it. Will I go back? I'm not sure. It's such a shame because their ravioli and sauce taste so good.

If you are looking for a great place to get fresh Italian pasta on the west side of Houston....you…read moreneed to try Casetta Cucina. This is not a place to eat pasta, it is a place to buy pasta you can prepare at home. It is located in a small and nondescript retail strip center on Campbell Road just north of I-10. Inside this tiny little shop you will find a place to get a cup of Italian Coffee and some pastries. You will also find some outstanding and very authentic Italian sandwiches. They generally have three or four to chose from for lunch. Seating is limited to a table or two inside and a table or two out front. (Yes it is that small.) Taking pride of place is the pasta kitchen, where the fresh pasta and sauces are made. Casetta is owned and run by a husband and wife team. The husband is from Italy and brings his passion for food with him. The available pastas, sauces and sausages are on display in two large refrigerators. Generally, I stop by for a sandwich and get some of the pasta and sauces for later in the week. There about 10 pastas and ravioli to chose from. Since Italians have very firm opinions on what sauces go with each pasta I always ask! For example I select a pasta or two.....then let them select the sauce to go with it. Give it a try. I don't think that you will be disappointed.
