I usually change my own locks but this time I couldn't get the lock back on the door correctly. It just wouldn't work. I went to Empire Lock Corp. and locksmith Jay set up an appointment for the next morning (it wasn't an emergency; they have 24 hour emergency service as well). Jay showed up on time and installed my lock. He did a great professional job and patiently answered all of my questions. The price was fair, less than Manhattan prices. Trust me, you don't want to hire a cheap locksmith. I will always call Empire Lock Corp. if I have any lock problems. read more

Awkward situation. They never got a chance to fix my door, but they deserve five stars for their integrity. A locksmith from another company tried to charge me $672 to open and replace my bedroom door. While backtracking who I had called tonight in order to speak to this scam artist's superior, I got through to a guy who compassionately told me that I was being bamboozled. He even asked me if my door was drilled open. (How did he know!?) Turns out that legitimate locksmiths can open doors without drilling a hole. Thank you, honest sir for keeping it real. If I ever have a lock issue, this place will be the first place I call. read more

I called Empire lock because three of my tenants lost their mailbox keys. Empire had a locksmith meet up with me within the hour. They were very friendly while assessing the job. The let me know that they didn't have the lock size needed because my mailbox doesn't use the standard lock. They reassured me that there was one at the warehouse and they'd be back. Once they left, I also left the premises. About one hour and 15 mins later I got a phone call saying the job was complete. I was shocked because I never got a phone call saying they had returned. I rushed over to pay the locksmith. Everything was great just one star lost for communication and two of the mailbox locks use the same key so double check before they leave the premises. read more

This place is amazing! They offer outstanding customer service and reasonable pricing. Starting off with Aura who answers the phone. She walked me through all options and was very thorough. She is also a sweetheart. This place works with integrity. Aura provided me with her cell phone so that i can send her pictures of my locks and verify my appointment in her off hours. The day of my appointment, I meet Eddie, who's extremely professional, compassionate and friendly. On top of it, my door knob was lose and Eddie offered to fix it which was not apart of the service. That's what I call going over and beyond. Thank you Empire, Aura and Eddie for your fabulous services. I will be recommending your services to everyone i know in need. read more

I would definitely recommend Empire Lock. I was actually given their name by another locksmith who was not able to help me at the time. John from Empire Lock was very prompt and arrived 20 mins after my phone call at 12:30am, just as I was told he would. John came and assessed our door and lock situation and knew immediately how to help. I feel much safer and more secure with my new lock.
