Amazing service. They got me in and out super fast and the keys and lockbox worked great

I got my keys copied here and it was great. One time I did go I got mail key copied ( last week actually) and it was pretty inexpensive. Last I did test out the mail key copy and it did work perfectly. Another time, I did get a more general key copied and they did a great job here. The service was excellent. read more

Empire Lock - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I originally came in on a Saturday to make a copy of a regular standard key. The owner is a very nice lady who charged me $4 + tax for one key. I paid $10 for two. She also reminded me that I can always come back if they don't work, satisfaction guaranteed. Only one of the keys ended up working so I returned on a Monday. I was serviced by her son, who also quickly made me an additional copy, as well as attempted to fix the non-working copy. Unfortunately, neither of these worked as well. Third times the charm -- I returned on Tuesday and the owner helped me make 3 additional copies, one of which was done in a special way. Alas, that one worked very smoothly, while the other two a bit rough. She even offered for me to bring the original and the 2 rough copies so that she can run it on the machine again. Talk about great customer service!! I've worked in a shop that made key copies before, so I know they can be finicky. I did not mind having to return to the shop multiple times because I know I'm working with people who are honest and genuinely want to help. I've had very poor experiences with other locksmiths before who take advantage of people who are locked out and vulnerable by up-charging. They just go straight to drilling and replacing with a subpar lock. I can tell that the people at Empire Lock are NOT like that!! I'm so happy I found a neighborhood gem. Thank you so much!! read more

Quick and high quality ! Good prices too. The lady was very nice. Store is also in an easy to access location

i got my keys copied here- the service was friendly quick and efficient. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I needed a new set of keys. It was so quick and easy, great quality and prices at Empire. Gentlemen who copied our keys was kind. read more

Efficient service and cute keychains. The owner is also very sweet, I would recommend

Amazing service and quality! Loved it here - highly recommend - best keys in Brooklyn

The best! Very helpful. Great customer service and value. Helped with a wide range of things

I went to Crest to have a key made and they couldn't do it. They sent me to Empire Lock. The key worked, which is not always guaranteed when you have a lock made. They also offered a discount for checking in on Yelp. That being said, the key still cost about 5X what keys typically cost, so tough to rate higher. read more

Aura came to our car on a Saturday afternoon and picked the lock to the trunk in less than 10 minutes (we locked the keys in the trunk and there was no other way to open it). She texted beforehand to let us know her timing so we could take care of other business before meeting her. Her communication and professionalism are stellar, and her skills are both superior and rare (most locksmiths today can't even pick locks). If Aura tells you she can do the job then it will get done properly; we recommend Empire Lock before all others. read more

It's only $3 per key copy, and the guys are super nice. Great place. I recommend for sure.

No other place in the neighborhood could make a copy of my key. She was able to cut the key and make it work. Gracias

Staff was very nice and helpful when I broke my key. They made a new one and had me check if it worked before I got additional copies, which was a great idea. Plus, it was an old apartment key that had issues with turning. The owner was able to make a smooth key! Very happy with the service and quality. Plus the prices are fair! Thank you read more

Very helpful and made two keys very quickly. I would recommend this to anyone who needs keys.

I got three keys from Empire lock. Initially the keys didn't work for some reason, but the lady fixed up the keys and gave me two extra ones to try out free of charge. They were very helpful and kind. read more

great customer service. quality keys made. Timely service. friendly. Wonderful people.

Quick and easy service! I needed an extra set of mail keys and an apt key and they made them quick.

Very nice associate, helped me with my key needs! And a cute cat!!! Very professional!!!

After doing some investigating, I found out that there are people out there that have been scamming and impersonating this companies staff members. Very scary and sad that this is happening to such a well respected company. I hope that whoever is behind this will get caught. read more

The service here is absolutely AMAZING! I could not find any locksmiths that made a copy of a Medeco key, it seemed like an impossible feat.. until Empire Lock! At first try, the key copy didn't work, but almost immediately, the lovely owner of the business came to pick up the key at my apartment and go back to the shop. She then made two working copies herself at no extra charge. She even stayed in the shop late so I could pick it up same day! Can't say enough about this amazing service, it was so generous and appreciated! If you're looking for a locksmith, please go here and support this business! read more

I just locked myself out of my apt and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I was nervous bc it is a holiday, but the locksmith arrived within 30 minutes. She was so friendly and efficient. And the best part is that she didn't have to drill, so my keys still work. Affordable, quick and professional. I hope I don't have to call again, but if I do, I know who to go to! read more

Empire Lock is great! Keys made quick and they always work. Auria is the best. Do not pet the cat!!!

They will do the job but charge people and arm and a leg for the services in stressful times. They are also not upfront with their pricing and only added on the service and installation fee after they had taken my door apart and told me multiple times the "all in price." Look elsewhere. read more

My go to locksmith. This is a small family owned business that I just love. Years back I had a group of imported motorcycles with all weird keys. They basically modified existing blanks and hand made me keys one at a time. No other place would even attempt that. They have serviced my properties and tenants for well over 10 years. I have followed them to what is now their third home. The people are so nice and the service is unparalleled. If you need a locksmith this is the place! read more

My new go-to. Service was fast and friendly! Empire Lock was able to cut me a duplicate key for my Suzuki motorcycle from a blank I brought along. It's great to know nice, friendly people who know their business better than all the rest. Aura (hopefully I spelled that right) made a perfect duplicate and I even stayed a little while to chat because of how good the service was. This is a legit brooklyn shop with all the charm, as well as the bona fides which come with years of experience. Check them out next time you need service on your lock or keys! read more

Very professional and quick service! I lost my apartment keys immediately after move in and they saved me. Thank you!

They'd put a new lock on the front door a few months back and it recently started sticking. Called them up this morning to see if someone could come look at it and they were knocking on the door in 20 minutes. Of course, the sticking stopped right before they got here but they were super polite and went ahead an lubed the lock and hinges. I'd gladly recommend them. read more

I used to go to the big hardware stores to get keys copied. I usually get a couple extra copies made because the copies don't always work - the keymakers at these big stores are always in a rush it seems. Luckily I tried Empire a few months ago. I've never seen somebody so careful making keys. I've had dozens of keys made here and they have always worked. Now I go out of my way every time I need a key copied. These guys are the bomb! Added later: i am super of some rehearsal spaces and got two hundred keys copied. They all worked. Unbelievable! read more

Super super fast efficient and well-priced! After having a mother company drill a hole in my lock while locked out, I called empire to request a replacement. I had an hour time frame right then and he sent someone over in 10 minutes! Who finished installing the lock in about half of the time!! Amazing. read more

My car died several months ago and they took care of the problem, quickly and efficiently. Recently, I had more car problems, again an electrical issue that was my fault, I had it towed to the Empire, and they took car of it again, no charge. They were nice and helpful. I will definitely come back there with my business and recommend them to any of my friends. read more

Fast, friendly and very reasonable prices. They were great. Couldn't of been a better solution to getting locked out.

I locked myself out of my apartment in the worst way possible (no phone no keys no wallet). Called Empire to pop the lock from a friend's phone and they showed up in 15 minutes, were friendly and charged a reasonable rate. read more
