I like most of the food but the coffee cake I wasn't pleased about it long black hair on it. I wasn't happy when I saw that..

This place is a nice edition to the food scene in Eugene and is conveniently located near campus. There were a variety of different dishes to choose from but my favorite had to be the pho and ice cream. The pho broth taste better than most pho restaurants here in town. It is a little old and needs a facelift but overall great place. Would come back here again.

Eh, been here twice. Always like to visit a second time before leaving a critical review. Pretty unimpressed on both visits. Food was average, but half the buffet items were cold. I brought this to their attention and they didn't seem to be too concerned about it. Cold buffet items are not only unappetizing, but literally a bacterial incubator. Men's restroom could use a good cleaning, too...

Short: Hot & Saucy! Lots of different chicken and Americanized Chinese basics. Great value. VIsited week of Sept 20th 2022. I stopped by with my Friend to celebrate an occasion, and I've been feeling like Americanized Chinese food. Plus, I was wondering if this Chinese/Asian Buffet had some desserts I really cherish and love. [Spoiler: they did!] [Food & Price]: Being it was a weekday lunch buffet, it was only $12. I think that's pretty decent for the area and the selection is decent (no seafood, only fried fish). All the food looked fresh, hot, and steamy. That's really great. They were all covered very generously in sauces and tasted fresh. None of my chicken got soggy and was still pretty warm by the time I started to finish up. A majority of it was chicken, I didn't see any pork and maybe 1 beef entree. They had chicken nuggets, fries, fried fish, sweet and sour chicken (sauce on the side), cream cheese ragoons, shrimp, mushroom chicken, chow mein, rice vermicelli, egg fried rice, and more. For the desserts, they had some puddings, jelly cubes, banana in strawberry sauce, ice creams (they have the twist option, which makes it half vanilla-chocolate), and apple crisp pie! [Interior & Service]: Being a buffet it is practically self-serve, waitresses stopped by timely offering more ice water and removing plates, which is always appreciated. The interior of the restaurant is a bit dim/dark and the booths have vinyl seating, but comfortable. Also the whole restaurant floor is very spacious with plenty of seats. I did want to note that others mentioned their stomach being upset, mine was too but maybe from overeating. Empire is much better than China Sun locally, based on my past experiences at China Sun (pretty sure they are $ more than Empire). Overall, I definitely will stop by again if they keep it up with the fresh and hot food!

We came at 7pm on a Saturday and there was no wait, we were immediately greeted and seated. The staff was very attentive taking our drink orders and bring back refills. The food was all delicious the only thing we didn't try was the sushi bar but everything else was on point! None of the food was soggy and I didn't even get any fatty or cartilage pieces! The desserts are a little random but each one was very tasty yet not too sweet. It's a cozy place with a good amount of seating and even a bar. They do give you a fortune cookie for each person at the end of your meal before bringing over the bill. My only complaint is that two of the chicken dishes I got were somehow cold :( I'm not sure on the price but for two of us with drinks it came out to $40. To me it's still worth the price and overall I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in town or feeling particularly hungry lol.

The food was delicious! The sweet & sour chicken was nice and crunchy in a good way. It wasn't fried to smithereens. I wasn't happy with the sweet and sour sauce, I thought it would have been thicker!! The sweet donuts are warm and thick and all kinds of goodness. I'm totally satisfied with my order aside from the thin sauce. All in all the food was very delicious! I was upset that the sweet and sour sauce wasn't that thick... I even called to ask if it was. Other than that it was good and crispy with sweetly warm donuts to end tonight's dinner .

The gal told me that the lunch buffet will end in about 40 minutes and asked if it was okay with us. I said no problem. We go seated and got went to the buffet counter. It was a smaller selection than what we were used to but it didn't bother us. We got what we wanted to eat and enjoyed our food. Even though the buffet was closing soon, the cooks were still bringing items out. I was kinda expecting we were just going to get what ever is left, but everything was still coming out very hot and fresh. I didn't get seconds, but my daughter did. She's pregnant and said that the food really hit the spot for her and the baby. For me, that's a win! Thank you for the great food and service. We will definitely be back.

I have been wanting some Indian food, and saw on Royal India's website they offer lunch specials…read morethat were pretty reasonable. So I went to Royal India. I was seated quickly, and brought water... I also ordered a Masala Chai. Once there, I found out they no longer have Lunch Specials, but opened a buffet ($17.95) instead. Apparently the website has been incorrect for over a year, but the owner has not fixed it. I did not really want buffet, although it looked decent. So I ordered the Chicken Korma ($19.95). Then I found out that unlike the lunch specials I was hoping for, they do not serve Naan with their dishes, so also ordered some Garlic Naan. The food was delivered to my table in a reasonable amount of time... and looked good, although I thought the portion of Korma was pretty small for the price. Korma description in the menu states it has cashews and raisins in it. I think I could taste some cashew, although there were no whole cashews like I have had at other restaurants with this dish... and no raisins either. It did taste strongly of curry leaves which overpowered the cashew flavor I love. But every cook does this dish differently. Large portion of rice was ok. Garlic naan was very thin, and lacked the chewy softness I expect from naan. This was just flat, no rise at all. Masala chai was lacking in flavor, but it was a large portion, which was nice. Service was very good... Ingrid checked on me repeatedly, and was very nice. For the price ($36+) with the tip, I felt like this was a very expensive lunch, and while I did take some home... it was not even a meal (unless you count just the rice). Usually if I spend that, I get at least one other meal from the takeout. I guess I will have to just stick to making Korma at home when I want some. Not sure if I will be back....

Sizzler 1010 Postal Way, Springfield, OR 97477…read moreSizzler is one of those places where you know the general lane before you walk in: casual, familiar, salad bar, toast, fried items, and a little old-school family restaurant nostalgia. We came in around 1 p.m. Plenty of booths were open, the place looked clean, and the first round of service was fast. The salad bar was maintained nicely. Vegetables were cool and fresh, and the senior salad bar was $13.99 with a standard drink included. The Sizzler toast did its job perfectly: toasty, crunchy, cheesy on the outside, soft in the middle. I am still a fan of their fried chicken wings. They were crispy outside and juicy inside, which is exactly why I keep coming back to that item. The orange chicken was a surprise in a good way. Mild, not spicy, and safe for people who do not want heat. The guacamole and salsa over in the taco bar area actually had a little bite to them, which stood out because most of the flavors here lean mild. A few items needed help. The clam chowder was light on clam flavor, so I added bacon bits to bring it up. The broccoli soup leaned more American-cheese flavor than broccoli, though honestly it could work as a dipping sauce for raw broccoli. The lemon pepper fries were crispy and good, but heavy on the salt even for me. Our friend ordered the prime rib sandwich, and it looked filling even before adding the fries. The two letdowns were service follow-up and dessert. After the first round, the waitress did not come by as often as expected, especially considering they were not that busy. The ice cream was also just okay -- better than the ice-milk style you sometimes find at buffets, but not close to better soft serve elsewhere. Overall, this Sizzler gives you a clean, steady, predictable meal with a nicely maintained salad bar, good fried chicken wings, and comfortable flavors. Not everything pops, but for a casual lunch, it mostly does what Sizzler is supposed to do.

Best decision ever. The stew was tomato based, lots of fish and just a bit of heat. The New England chowder was flavorful with lots of clams and potatoes. Salmon was equally good; the coating was light and their homemade tartar sauce very good. They offer 6 other sauces besides tarter and ketchup, which is a nice option.
