I am new to the area and tried Empanadus based on yelp reviews.... and I'm glad I did. If you're looking for something quick and cheap to eat, check this place out during their lunch special hours. I tried chicken, beef, ham and cheese and spinach. The chicken empanadas are my favorite and it comes paired with chimchuri sauce. The empanadas are pretty filling, so it makes for either a nice quick snack or a meal of its own. read more

I haven never had an empanada before, nor did I really know what they were exactly. But when you walk into EmpanadUS, they have them in a warming station at the counter and the menu is on the wall on the right. I tried the corn empanada and the spinach empanada and they were amazing! I could quite possibly eat the corn one for breakfast lunch and dinner, it's awesome. Plus, the chimichurri sauce is something that cannot be forgotten. It adds so much flavor to the empanadas and just makes them even better. I will definitely be returning ASAP and trying more flavors, because I doubt that any of the varieties are less than tasty. read more

I love a good empanada almost more than life itself, so when I discovered this place whilst searching for quick eats in the area, I eagerly stopped in. I got several to try and they were all different than what I would have imagined/expected, but all very good and clearly made with care. The dough they use is so flaky and light, and the fillings all had great flavor and seasoned well. My favorite was actually the apple! I noticed while waiting that their store is extremely clean, which you don't always see these days, so that was definitely a plus too. Check it out! read more

Delicious baked empanadas! I have tried many different empanadas restaurants in the US and empanadUS is by far the best. The place is clean and the customer service is great. They have a wide variety of flavors, including dessert empanadas. Capresse is my favorite. I strongly recommend it! read more

We've tried several of their empanadas for lunch on a few occasions and liked everything we tried. My favorite was the caprese, and my husband liked the beef and pork. I like the sauce that comes with it but wish it wasn't so oily. Kids liked the ham and cheese and apple empanadas. Nice to have the variety in town, something other than the typical burger joint. read more

Came with the kids and loved the fact many were ready to go. Kids liked the pepperoni, sausage, and ham & cheese. My wife and I loved the rest but top three were sausage, onion, and the caprese. Texture was light and flakey and fillings were plentiful. We had to wait on one flavor and can say right out of the oven was just as awesome as ready go. I would have no reservations on the ready to eat ones. read more

Never tried them be for my son asked me to try one last week. Yes I went to empandus today tried a few of them: from 1 to 5 here is my taste on them. The Chicken (2) it was ok/good/ok. Sausage (3) o not ok just o. Bacon (3) can live without not bad just not for me. Ham & Cheese (2) k not ok just k. Now the BBQ Pork (5) had two of them the taste and flavor was very good. The chimichurri sauce adds a new level to the empanadas'. I will be going back for the BBQ Pork. Packs a good punch. read more

this place has empanadas ! lol A lot of them ! we had the following : caprese , bbq chicken , chicken , corn , Nutella , pork . all are very good but the top for the group are : caprese , pork , Corn . They are small enough so that you can enough many different types . They also have huge selection of beverages and teas . The sign on the sidewalk lists all the flavors with a $2.25 price, but that's misleading because unless you buy 10 they are more expensive. But even so, you can eat well for around $12. We tried the corn (very good); beef (ok); spinach (kind of blah); fresh mushroom (excellent); BBQ pork (plenty of sweet and spicy sauce) and apple for dessert (good). We were there at a prime Saturday night time and maybe because of that they were out of many flavors and we waited a few minutes for fresh ones out of the oven. All the better. read more

A very unique place, it is like gourmet hot pockets. Not hot pocket's poor quality just the concept. I got the beef, chicken, bacon, and sausage which were all good but the sausage one was my favorite! My co workers all got the ham and cheese and said it is by far the best because of the flaky crust that was wrapped around it and the cheese was delicious as well. Definitely recommend coming here the prices are very reasonable and you can try a variety of different flavors. You should get at least two, three would be ideal and the sauce is wonderful too it helps to add the fat flavor complex because of oil and gives the empanada a very rounded taste. I will be coming back here soon! read more

Every time we go, it's fantastic. Great for a quick bite, even if you need to wait for your favorites to come out of the oven fresh. Buffalo chicken and bacon are close runners up to the pepperoni! No matter your taste, you'll find some you like. And get the chimmi churri sauce for dipping! read more

An interesting new product that is definitely worth a try. This is a little pouch of food that you can take with you were eat in. I highly recommend the caprese as well as the Apple. For breakfast the bacon and egg is a nice treat as well perfect for people on the run read more

I tried the frozen empanadas through the Homewood delivery they have every month and I was very disappointed. The empanadas were bland and very small. I tried the following empanadas: ham and cheese, mushroom, spinach, BBQ pork and chicken. The ham and cheese empanada was the only decent one I tried but still not worth the money. I will be tossing the remaining empanadas. read more

If you're craving empanadas, this place is a great fix! Nestled in downtown LaGrange, we had no problem finding a parking spot on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, modern, and comfortable. We ordered the sausage, chicken, and beef empanadas. The sausage and chicken were the best, with the beef lacking a bit (we didn't like the flavor or combination of spices). There were warm, fresh, and delicious. My only complaint was that the dough/crust wasn't that great. It wasn't really flaky or buttery like one would expect - a bit dry and flavorless. Upon further inspection, I noticed they had packages of the pre-made dough, so definitely not made on-site. I would also recommend skipping the desserts, as they were nothing to write home about. Overall, a great find and we'd definitely return if we find ourselves in the area. I would prefer Cafe Tola downtown for empanadas, but this is a great back-up for the burbs. read more

I checked in and the staff member told me that a 4 top was just finishing, and it is ours as soon as they are done paying - 15 -20 minutes at the most is what he estimated. 15 minutes later, we were seated. I was happy considering how busy they were and the communication was great. We received heart shaped bread and water immediately and that was nice. They usually have breadsticks so I loved the touch of the shaped bread. The staff took a little while to get our food order, my guess was it was to pace the kitchen and the wait staff. It was ok cause we had great company at the table. We got our order in and the server was great and apologized for the wait and we totally understood. My wife and I shared a meal. Two empanadas and their cheese lasagna. My friend got calamari to share and ribeye steak. His wife got the pasta with shrimp. The appetizers came out in a timely matter, hot and fresh. The empanadas are homemade (spinach cheese and capreses). The crust is the make it break for empanadas and it was good as usual. The main course meals came out and they already split our meal which was unexpected and great service. The steak looked scrumptious and the pasta looked well dressed.
