Front person is super nice and friendly. Very helpful and the restaurant was nice and clean and has plenty of seating for a small restaurant. Love the decor and has plenty of TVs to watch something on your lunch break. The outdoor seating is nice and cute, I'll have to try and sit out side next time.

First time here after following them on social media from the first day. Absolutely delicious food. We never even really needed the homemade sauces with it although I ate the sauces plain. The empinadas are all very good and a great mix on traditional and Cajun flair. The staff was awesome and explained everything we ate before we ordered. The restaurant is small but comfortable. We will definitely make this a regular spot.

Empanadas were delish. Pastry was soft and flaky. Both the beef and spinach and artichoke had a good bit of stuffing in them. Canned or bottle drinks available. A few tables inside and there are 3 tables outside with cloth covering to keep the sun off of you.

First of all so amazingly delicious! That chimichurri sauce is TOP TIER and combine it with your empanadas??? TOO GOOD! Not to mention how incredibly kind and welcoming the owner is he is a gem! This place has a nice calm home like vibe to it and I'm loving it! The outside eating area was also so cute! Overall COME TO THIS PLACE!! I genuinely hope to see more come from this place in the future, so do yourself a favor and EAT HERE!!!

Absolutely so excited for this place to have finally opened and SO CLOSE TO HOME! Did my first online order today and went through the drive thru, everything was hot, flaky and delicious! One of my empanadas accidentally landed on the floor during the boxing/to-go process so they pulled me up and gave me two free FRESH samples to try out while waited! These people are great! The food is amazing the service was excellent and we will definitely be here regularly!!! Super excited to try their frozen take home options too!

This is 3 beef and 3 boudin with their sauce.

I wasn't looking for anything specific to eat but this place called to me so I whipped into the parking lot and headed in! This is such a homey type of place that puts a lot of pride and joy in their food and showing off Latin culture. Los Alvarez Exxpress Latin Food is a local mom and pop spot on the corner of Gardere and Burbank next to the S&P Food Store/Chevron gas station. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect going in but what I got was a lot of warmth and comfort. This is a place for Latin locals to relax and get a bit of familiarity and good food. I dined in and ordered the Granadas Catrachas. Catrachas are traditionally known as Honduran tostadas. Los Alvarez puts their spin on it by using Granada flour to create a puff pocket and stuff it with meat, rice and cheese and serve it with encurtido (Honduran pickled vegetables). I ordered one with chicken and one with beef. The serving was huge and absolutely delicious! I was only able to eat one. That, on top of the chips and salsa and black bean dip had me full for the rest of the day! Everyone that works there is friendly and for a second you don't feel like you're in Baton Rouge. This is a magical place.

We tried a few different bites, and everything was exactly what you want from a spot like this -- flavorful, fresh, and satisfying every single time. Food: The food is really the main attraction here. Nothing overly fancy or trying too hard, just consistently good food that delivers every time. Everything we tried was solid, and it's the kind of place where you already know you're leaving happy before you even order. Service: Service was smooth with no issues at all. The staff kept things moving, and the experience was easy from start to finish. Ambiance: Billy's has that classic Louisiana stop-through feel to it. Nothing extravagant, but it doesn't need to be. The food speaks for itself. Overall: Not much to rave about besides the food -- and honestly, that's all it needs. Billy's is officially one of my can't-miss stops anytime I'm driving through Lafayette. I'm never passing this place up.

The cracklins had a little bit of fat and meat on them which I wasn't used to. I'm just used to the fried crispy skin. It tasted more like fried/seasoned pork belly. The seasoning is really good though. My favorite boudin was Billy's more than the smoked one but my fiance liked the smoked flavor more. I wish we took pics but we just ate it in the car. The casing was a little tough to bite through so I sliced it and scooped out the insides. Although the Billy's boudin is good, I don't know if it was good enough to drive from Texas for it. I need to search for more places while I'm here.

When you walk inside it's very welcoming. And how can an alpaca in a hat not make you smile? There is something on the menu for everyone, so if you have a "country palate" as my family calls it, you can still find something for you. Our appetizer came out with our meal, but the food was all amazing. I personally recommend getting the Salchipapa for the table to much on whole reviewing the menu because you can't go wrong with hot dogs and fries. The Honduran tacos were more like taquitos than tacos. They were delicious. My daughter didn't leave any of the carne asada and talks about going back to get it again. Everything we saw being brought to other tables looked good, so maybe next time I'll just point to something on the menu and see what I end up with.

We came by on a weekday evening for dinner and it was pretty empty. Service was a little slow but the food was solid. I got the macchi picchu old fashioned and the lomo saltado. I think I actually cleaned my plate. The decor in here is super cute too! Not in Baton Rouge option but the last two times I've been here I've stopped at Brasas so hopefully I'm back next time!
