Okay! I'm not the biggest coffee connoisseur, but I would say I'm the pickiest. I hate watery lattes and I hate that artificial sweetener flavor or when all you taste is the syrup...what I do love is a creamy latte where you can taste the espresso, but also the right amount of sweetness. I haven't found many standout places. Until today! I'm visiting Lafayette and after a quick search, found Reve. I ordered a medium caramel and vanilla iced latte and added cold foam. I don't know any details of how anything was made, but it was so perfect. I'm a chronic never finisher of coffee, but I had to slow myself down to keep from finishing it within a couple minutes. The cold foam wasn't sweetened, which worried me, but after swirling it all together, it was just the perfect latte. The syrups didn't have any of the ickyness you sometimes find (maybe they're house made? I didn't ask) and the cold foam made for the most perfect consistency. I'm no coffee purist, but if you like a yummy drink that I don't think was over the top sweet, this was an amazing order! This place was great!!! I was headed back to Houston and decided I needed some great coffee and a bite to eat, to fuel my drive. This was a great choice. I ordered the NOLA coffee w/vanilla (which apparently is house-made by the way ), with the help of the nicest worker at the register. He made really great suggestions and was very patient while I spent forever deciding on what I wanted lol. I also ordered the Roasted Veggie and Bacon croissant, which, omg, is the best breakfast pastry I've eaten in a longggggg time. It was absolutely delicious, with broccoli, onions, bacon and a layer of whipped cheese on the bottom. I would go there for that everyday. The space is bright and large, with indoor and outdoor seating and the decor is simple and clean. I'll definitely go back if in the area. read more

Parking is a bit of a hassle if you don't want to pay for street parking; there's a bit of free parking on W Cypress but spots are pretty limited and it's also on the north end of downtown. Coffee was reasonably priced for 2023/2024 and tastes fine to me. Plenty of seating inside with street views. read more

My only critique is the barista was extremely slow. They had a great Ethiopian single origin pour over coffee. I would love to say that they were friendly, but they really weren't. They were kind of put out when I ordered a pour over coffee, which I understand they can be time-consuming however don't offer pour over coffees if that's the case it wasn't as good as Onyx Coffee but for Louisiana this was a very good option. read more

A fantastic experience. We called ahead to make sure the chai was brewed and not a boxed concentrate. Easily the best chai I have ever been served! Definitely worth the extra time it takes to brew and serve. The barista was friendly and patient with us as first time customers and provided a requested recommendation. Our order included the pictured lattes and cheesecake as well as an affogatto. Each one was enjoyable and stood on their own. Our GPS did take us to the back of the building so we had to drive around a bit to find where we were, but enjoyed the indoor and outdoor seating options. Just, yes. Go here. I got an iced caramel latte, the caramel is made in house and it's fantastic. The latte isn't overly sweet like most other places. The flavor is great. I also got a pumpkin cream cheese bundt and it's amazing, I had it slightly warmed. I could eat 20 of them. read more

Beautiful ambiance and overall luxe feeling experience. This location is my fave out of the 2 in Lafayette. Definitely opt for enjoying your beverage on site versus ordering to go. I especially appreciate their drinks coming in nice glassware. The appeal of an occasion to cheers and clink glasses is reason enough for a coffee date. I used to order the avocado toast multiple times a week because it was delicious, but I ordered it today and the quality went down. In fact, it appears to be a slightly different recipe, different bread, no hummus, added cucumbers (which I'm allergic to), and tomatoes instead of peppers. Just too much. King cake was a mess. I liked it. But just too much espresso lather, slather. I'd stop for coffee though. But pastries to go, no. Would drive out of my way for this coffee. Extremely knowledgeable & kind baristas who answered all of our questions. We wound up buying three bags. I got an oat milk latte with 1/2 amount of usual flavor (hazelnut) and loved my drink. Perfect blend of coffee, milk & flavor. My husband got a pour over (Brazil) and was very pleased. I had a weekend trip with a couple of my girl friends to Lafayette. Before our drive back home we decided to stop at the Rêve Coffee Lab. This was the best decision we made! I got an iced chai tea and a turkey and swiss croissant. The iced chai tea was perfect and was just what I needed before I had to drive home! The turkey swiss croissant was warm and cured my hunger as well! The employees were so kind and patient with us. I felt very welcomed. The place itself gives off a comforting vibe with the darkish green walls. The people there looked just as comfortable as I felt. I saw one guy asleep with a magazine on his chest, another on a work call, and some other people that looked like friends catching up after a long weekend. Absolutely the best coffee shop I have been to in Louisiana. Located in wonderful neighborhood. They have an outside and inside area. Finally I found a standardized coffee bags with the full descriptions: region, flavor, height and others. Its really important to do if you sell beans by the bags to a coffee lovers. Coffee from Kenia was represented, which is one my favorite to pour. Delicious bakery they have pairs very well with the coffee. Amazing variety. read more

Excellent coffee house. We prefer local, had been to their downtown location a couple of times during Festival International, so were so pleased to see their was another location out near our hotel. We made two visits here over the weekend; cappucinos, lattes, and espressos all perfect. So appreciative of multiple GF options for my wife who is so often reduced to oatmeal or nothing, We tried both the walnut zucchini muffins and the lemon blueberry bundt, and both were delicious. What a little gem of a place in Lafaytte! First of all it's an absolutely gorgeous space. Generally I don't think of shops having a personality. But this one does for sure. I felt happy and relaxed just being inside there. The service was excellent. I didn't feel rushed or like I was annoying the guy behind the counter with all of my questions. He made a few suggestions and offered to let me smell some of the teas to help me decide what to order, which just delighted my olfactory senses. My first time to visit this place was yesterday...it was highly recommended by a friend that was visiting from out of town. Location: this coffee house nestled in a richly contemporary area that is surrounded by other independently-owned businesses (pilates studio, boutique bakery, townhomes, fine eats, etc.). It is a fairly large establishment with ample seating and work areas on the inside & outside. Menu: coffees, teas, ice cream, pastries I had the Cortado espresso ( which was served in a large shot glass...it was amazing!! I was told that it would be a strong serving of coffee and it was not as strong as I thought it would be. It went down like liquid silk!! There was nothing bitter about it...pure perfection! This place gets 5-star from me because it is wonderful in all aspects: lovely location, clean, stellar customer service, delicious menu items, does not feel chain-like, unique, contemporary, delectable brews...I was thoroughly impressed by it all! All aces from me!! I want to go back to Lafayette just to go back to this coffee house and spend the day there! read more
