Park Bistro is such a gem! It's located in an old cottage close to UL and provides a cozy setting for date night or a small group. The porch and patio are lovely in nice weather. The service is attentive and helpful. The cocktail program is creative and seasonal. The wine list is short but thoughtful. Park Bistro greater than the sum of its parts, by which I mean I often look at them menu and think "meh," but then I'm blown away by whatever I order. The quality and flawless execution of each dish really set this place apart. On a recent visit, we had the chips and dip which was caviar with dill and chive crème fraiche and house made potato chips. It was like the best sour cream and onion dip you've ever tasted, elevated with caviar. Our entrees were chicken Kiev and lasagna, and both were perfect. No room for dessert but we need to try for it next time!

Bringing a new vibe to Lafayette! Honestly, didn't know what to expect. I hadn't looked at the menu before being invited to join some friends for brunch. I was visiting from out of state, but I knew this was an up-and-coming spot in Lafayette. The Risotto Balls are KILLER! MUST GET! Black Eye Pea Toast was incredibly difficult to eat. The plank is useless, but I understand the aesthetic. Flavor was a "meh" but everyone else's entrees looked delightful! I'd go back, but definitely for their dinner offerings instead of brunch.

My wife and I were very excited to try Park Bistro due to all of the great reviews. While the food was pretty good, it definitely was not worth the price. We shared two appetizers and an entree and our total was close to $60 and we left hungry. While the atmosphere and service were both very good, I don't think we will be back.

Cute pocket restaurant, with a good array of menu options. Service was prompt and friendly! I got the salmon and it was delicious, the Kiev was an interesting dish! Finished off with the flourless cake Loved all the displayed art on the walls. Outdoor dining was on a nice large porch! Upon arrival not many ppl there, but it quickly filled up and a lot of guests had reservations

Brunch Sunday The restaurant itself is small and quaint but fit our party of 12 nicely. They also have a nice porch for dining. Waitress/staff were great! Our waitress was super sweet and accommodating. We got a few appetizers: Chicken biscuits- really good with a small kick. I like these the best of all the apps. The biscuit was the highlight of this dish! Asparagus bisque- I didn't try this but those that did seem to think it was really good but both noted the asparagus taste is strong so be sure you like asparagus if you order this! Crispy shrimp- also really good. Unexpected flavor but in a delicious way! Risotto Balls- yummy! Not my fav but still yummy! Crispy Potatoes- I thought these were average is a good way. I found the sauce bland but my husband loved the sauce. Entrees: Chicken and biscuits- It was okay but nothing special. Both the chicken and the waffles were a tiny bit bland. That being said my husband ate it all. Flatiron Steak and eggs- soooooo good! The steak was amazing! breakfast gnocchi- when I asked my sister how it was she said "not that good". That's all the detail I got from her. Caesar salad- service was top notch when my nephew asked for the kitchen to cut his salad up. When I asked him how it was he said "it's really good". Overall 5 stars because we didn't have anything bad and overall enjoyed the restaurants service and food for our special occasion brunch!

This location has been home to several different restaurants over the years, but this was my first time trying it as Park Bistro. Certainly didn't disappoint! We came with a party of 6 for a friend's birthday during the holidays season. The outside waiting area and patio are very inviting - I booked for inside space as we didn't know what the weather would do, tho there were people dining on the patio that evening. We started out with the roasted beets (meh...but but difficult for me to say since I'm not a fan of beets anyway) and the risotto balls (fabulous!). Entrees at our table included the flatiron steak (a bit too far toward rare on the medium-rare spectrum), the ricotta gnocchi (no complaints heard), the Nashville hot shrimp burger (think crab cake burger, just other shrimp), and the eggplant lasagna. Everything looked good, but the eggplant lasagna was really out of this world. Finished it off with the Lemon Bomb for dessert. Our server was new to the gig and still figuring things out. Everyone at our table had water with dinner, but it never got refilled after the initial service. Overall, it's a nice addition to the area, giving locals somewhere for evening dining just around the corner from Olde Tyme Grocery.

Had the opportunity to grub here for lunch with the work crew. We ordered various menu items and all were excellent. The atmosphere was comfortable, and they had no problem accommodating our reservation (lunch). Waitress was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. I highly recommend this establishment.

It was about 15 minutes off the highway on our trip back from New Orleans to Texas on a Friday, and hubby rarely lets me down when I propose a foodie detour -- so he was game! Thank goodness I didn't read the reviews too closely beforehand because apparently they can sell out early. We rolled in around 11:30 am, and while there was a short line, it moved quickly -- and they still had EVERY flavor available. Score! We opted for a box of four ($3.50 for a standard flavor, $3.75 for a seasonal one) -- honestly, way cheaper (and better) than that sad Crumbl franchise. We went with the s'mores (the gal in front of us said she came in just for that one), a mint Oreo, a butter cookie, and a chocolate one with cheesecake inside. It's now one day later, and there's only one left -- that's how good they are! The texture is that perfect slightly under-baked middle, which, in my humble opinion, is the superior way to bake a cookie. Of the three I've tried so far, the mint Oreo has been my favorite -- rich, chewy, and perfectly balanced between chocolate and mint. The s'mores was also fantastic -- melty and gooey in all the right ways. On to the owner's story -- which is seriously inspiring. Caroline started baking cookies at 21 during Covid, selling them to friends and family. She quickly realized she had a business on her hands. With the help of her dad -- who's also a business owner -- she launched this company, and now she's absolutely killing it with three Louisiana locations, a growing team of employees, and a reputation for selling out almost daily. What she's built takes guts, and it's clear she's not just surviving -- she's thriving. But what I love most is that she didn't settle for a boring, cookie-cutter (pun intended) storefront. Nope -- the place is FUN. The doors and walls are painted with playful cookie designs, and the vibe is super inviting. You can tell Caroline put real thought into making the space feel special. Even the merch is next level -- embroidered sweatshirts that are super high quality. Yeah, they're $50, but honestly, they feel like the kind of sweatshirt you'd live in all winter. I came this close to buying one for MY sister Caroline -- but alas, budget constraints got the best of me (for now). And the marketing? Genius. She's got that cool, low-key social media strategy that makes you feel like you stumbled upon a secret -- even though the line out the door proves otherwise. It's not just the cookies that make you want to keep coming back -- it's the whole experience. Caroline's story, her energy, the atmosphere -- it all makes you want to root for her and support the business. I'm already thinking about my next road trip just to swing by again (and maybe justify that sweatshirt purchase).

Such an adorable store filled with delicious cookies. I got a box full of various flavors of cookies. From peanut butter and chocolate to animal cracker to red velvet, there was a flavor for everyone. The cookies are a decent size, not as big as Crumbl but bigger than a regular cookie, and most are stuffed with something. I found the cookies to be moist and full of flavor. I really liked on the box it tells you how to store them if you don't eat all of them right away. For a full box of cookies, 6 of them, it was $22.. each cookie being $3.50. The staff was so amazing and patient with everyone. I was so glad I was able to come and experience this amazing cookie spot!

Fresh. They will even grab you a fresh baked one out the back upon request. I stumbled on this hidden gem one day after a my last craving for a waffle cone was unfulfilled at a franchise frozen yogurt spot. I won't name any names, but I hadn't been to the unnamed commercial spot in over 20 years. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. The waffle cone was stale and had a tinge of plastic taste. I literally thought I'd been poisoned. After looking up ice cream spots with good reviews, my daughter and I found Emmy's. It was not a disappointment at all. The ice cream flavors were limited but very premium. Although they don't make their own ice cream in-house, they get it from the best place I can think of ordering ice cream from - Wisconsin. They have a ton of really premium toppings for a great price too. Most are just $.50, with some of the nut toppings costing a dollar. My daughter tried their orange sorbet with gummy bears and the swear, they were the best gummy bears I've ever tried. I went straight for my go-to, pistachio almond. When I tell you it's stood up to some of the best Italian creamery pistachio I've had in my home town of New Orleans, I'm not exaggerating. Creamy, rich ice cream with an abundance of pistachio. All I needed was one scoop. So amazing and flavorful. Being skeptical after my last botched experience getting a waffle cone at a major franchise dessert spot, I decided to get my ice cream in their signature waffle cone. Oh. My. Goodness. It's like a confection by itself. Delicately buttery, perfectly sweet and super crispy. I hear they even make waffle cone nachos?! Aside from having great dessert, the staff is friendly and they have a nice little sitting area, complete with a soda-shop type bar to sit. It's not a question of if I'll be back, but if I'll be able to pass it up when I'm in the vicinity. Delicious!
