Made an online reservation and waited about 7 minutes to be seated. We ordered two appetizers, soup, and a salad. The spicy buffalo cauliflower was overcooked and overly sauced, and the calamari was mostly small pieces rather than the larger rings I expected. The salad was good, though I didn't expect raw mushrooms. I had planned to order a cocktail with Empress gin from the online menu, but it was no longer available in the restaurant. The cocktail I ordered instead was a bit too sweet. I really liked the atmosphere, but the food was the part I was least satisfied with.

My first visit to Emory's left something to be desired. My boyfriend and I decided to stop in for their happy hour, which has a decently sized food and drink menu with reasonable prices. I started with a peach hard lemonade, which was sweet and tangy with an $8.50 price tag. The food, on the other hand, was just alright. Our Woodstone pizzas were tasty, but the crust was underwhelming. This is a seafood restaurant, so the pizza isn't their priority. We dined on the patio, which was pretty toasty on a 70° day. The shades were closed, so we missed out on the lake views. Overall, we had a decent visit, and enjoyed the atmosphere, but won't be rushing back.

Emory's was the choice for tonight's birthday dinner! July 14th sun shining, water still, a few people out on paddle boards, and life as we know it happening! We had an amazing dinner with not one disappointed face. We started with Calamari Fritti and Steamed Clams. The calamari was crispy, with small rings and a really good dipping sauce. The boyfriend and daughter pretty much devoured the clams--they were sitting in the most flavorful lemon-butter sauce, which they both practically wanted to drink. Drinks: Ginger ale and Jameson Berry Berry Drop (beyond delicious) Shirley Temple My daughter had the Garlic Cheese French Dip. It was her first time trying a French dip and she said it was tasty and she enjoyed it. My boyfriend ordered the Creamy Seafood Risotto. Nothing but positive things came out of his mouth with every single bite! He even had enough to take home for lunch tomorrow. I did the 3 for $33 option: Caesar Salad - easily the most delicious and flavorful Caesar I've had in a long time. Plenty of cheese and dressing. Double R Ranch Top Sirloin with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies - ordered medium well and it came out perfect. Flavorful, well-seasoned, and you could cut it like butter. The mashed potatoes were fluffy and seasoned just right. The veggie was peas not my cup of tea, but they looked fresh and my daughter liked them! Dessert: Orange Crème Brûlée. My boyfriend and daughter shared it and loved it! We'll definitely be back for more tasty food!

The food is acceptable, though it could benefit from additional seasoning. The view of Silver Lake is beautiful.

Had an amazing thanksgiving dinner with my family! Highlights were the melt in your mouth filet mignon, super savory! Cole was our server and he was attentive, energetic & super cute!! (My mom made me write that last part, but it is true ) 10/10 recommend!! Thank you Emory's and thank you Cole!

This was my second time at Emory's and it was just as great as the first time. The restaurant is decorated so cute for the holidays. We got to sit outside in the enclosed/heated patio by the fireplace and it was the perfect temperature and so cozy. This really added to the ambiance. We ate our hearts out and it was all so tasty. For drinks, we got the peppermint martini and double chocolate martini from the holiday menu. I definitely preferred the chocolate martini. The peppermint martini was good but I feel like it was missing chocolate. That would've made it perfect. For appetizers, we ordered the flatbread bruschetta and the brie. Both were really good. For the salad, I ordered the hearts of romaine. I wasn't expecting the salad to come out this way - I do appreciate the presentation but I like when my salad is evenly coated with dressing so that was a slight miss - otherwise tasty. For dinner, I got the meatloaf and it was so good. Every bite with the mashed potatoes and broccolini and meatloaf was just so cozy and delicious. Comfort food at its finest. For dessert, we got the chocolate mousse, apple pie thing, and a peppermint sundae. All were great. Overall, it was a tasty night and I am still thinking about the food a week later.

We did not have a reservation when we showed up for dinner. The dining room was rather busy for a Wednesday night, but we were quickly seated. Everything was very clean, and no one looked rushed. You could see the manager actively walking around the room and she was very nice when she stopped by our table. The menu had many different options to fit many dietary needs and everything we got had great flavor. Some drinks rotate seasonally so make sure to ask what will be around for only a short time.

Ok. Something has shifted. Tectonically. Apparently Anthony's has recognized the local favorite Thai Chicken strips and is working to bring it back. They even have an alternative the Thai chicken boneless wings that I wish they would also keep because they're dirt cheap!!! Go get some before they're gone. We talked to the new manager Barbie, and she really seemed to care. They're making a lot of changes and we need our staple Emory's. I think Anthony's might be getting it. So here's a fresh 5 star review. Mostly because the managers are really paying attention. Food is usually good but if they get rod of Thai chicken wings and or strips, we'll have nothing to eat and starve!

Right away, I thought the interior (marble tables and matching booth) was super cute! This is what we ordered: Oreo Milk Shake The Oreo milkshake was rich, creamy, and delicious with a generous amount of whip cream on top! Chicken Souvlaki (Shish Kabob) and Chicken Gyro Today I learned that souvlaki is marinated meat (typically chicken, pork, or lamb) grilled on skewers while gyros are usually a combo of beef, pork, or lamb cooked on a rotisserie and shaved off in thin slices. Honestly, they both tasted kind of the same despite the different preparation of the meat. Both dishes were not the worst but not the best. The meat could've used a little more salt but the tzatziki sauce was delicious! Chicken Melt This was probably the best savory entree! The sandwich had the perfect crunch that was followed with the creaminess of the cheese and the flavor from the grilled onion and chicken. Pancakes These pancakes here are comparable to the ones I've had at Rusty Pelican and Sawmill Café- super yummy! As for our entrees, it comes with a side of either fries, salad, soup, or fruit. My mother and I got the soup which was beef and vegetables and my sister got a salad. The soup was nice and hearty with a generous amount of meat and veggies and the salad was... well a salad haha. If I were to come back, I would probably just stick to the classic American dishes instead of the Greek dishes.

We started with the pumpkin tempura. It was crispy on the outside, with a naturally sweet pumpkin inside. It was really delicious. It came with a dipping sauce, though the portion felt quite small. The side of lettuce and a chunk of purple cabbage felt a bit odd presentation wise, but once we wrapped everything together and dipped it, it tasted great. For my main, I ordered the vegan herb tofu salad with medium spice. It was mostly fried tofu tossed in a herb dressing with mint, tamarind, and cilantro. The flavor was a mix of sweet, spicy, and tangy. It honestly reminded me a bit of pani puri. That said, the sweetness was a bit overpowering and made the dish slightly sticky. If they toned that down, it would be perfect. We also tried the vegan 17th curry fried rice, which was good. The curry flavor was subtle. My toddler absolutely loved it. Overall, I would recommend this place, especially for vegans. The food was good, with the only downside being that some dishes leaned a bit too sweet for my taste. The service was okay, not exceptional, but not bad either. I had visited this place about three years ago on a busy Friday night and had a pretty poor service experience, so I wanted to give it another shot on a weekday. The food has improved, and the service was decent this time around.

5 Stars (for Mark) I…read morefound Rare Society on TikTok and made the drive up from Bellevue with my girlfriend, curious to see if this place lived up to its upscale steakhouse reputation. The short answer ..it's complicated but one person made all the difference. When we got there about 30 minutes early, we were told we could sit in the lounge and still receive full service, which was a nice touch. That said, there was no one at the front to greet us for a minute or two upon arrival. Small thing, but when a restaurant markets itself as a high-end experience, that first moment matters. We got seated quickly and then came Mark. He wasn't dressed like a server, so I honestly wasn't sure who he was at first, but his level of attentiveness made it immediately clear this was someone who genuinely cares about the guest experience. He explained that he was supporting our actual waiter, who was also covering bartending duties that evening. Whether that's a staffing concern or just how the night unfolded, I'll leave that to management to reflect on. What I won't leave unacknowledged is this..Mark was extraordinary! He knew the menu inside and out, kept our water filled, checked on us consistently, and made us feel genuinely welcomed, not just served. He even took the time to ask for our names. He spoke highly of our waiter throughout the entire evening, which says a lot about his character. My girlfriend and I were both floored. I'd take someone in a hoodie with Mark's warmth and knowledge over a perfectly dressed server going through the motions any day. The entire experience was held up by Mark. The entire time all the way to the end. It seems like Mark was required to relay all orders to our server. Ultimately our actual server simply delivered only the desert and checked if it was good. When my water glass was empty during dessert, it went unnoticed by him. Mark caught it. Of course he did. This isn't about entitlement. This is about living up to the competition and high end standard Food was Fantastic. Compliments to the chef The Surcharge, Worth Mentioning The receipt included a 4% surcharge described as covering competitive industry compensation, including health benefits for valued full-time employees. I respect transparency around labor costs. But here's the question worth sitting with: if this charge genuinely covers employee health benefits, why is it removable on request? A real operational cost doesn't disappear because a guest felt uncomfortable asking. It starts to feel less like a principled stance and more like a pricing strategy dressed in goodwill language. Five stars and they belong entirely to Mark. He is the standard this restaurant should be measuring itself against. Rare Society, if you're reading this..promote him, learn from him, and make sure he knows how much he elevated what could have been a forgettable evening into something genuinely memorable. Everything about this place is trying to be rare. Mark already is

The Twisted…read moreLimed didn't make a good first impression back then both in service and most definitely the menu. But here we are, 2025 and with time to kill decided to give this neighborhood watering hole another go. First off, since we were there during the day it wasn't too busy which was kinda nice. Because it's kind of a small pub it would be horribly crowded, even with their outside seating on a busy Friday or Saturday night. Lotsa T.V. with sports and nice island-style tunes with a noise level where you can have a conversation w/o having to repeat yourself or yell. Service was good, mostly due to the time of day, light crowd, so we were able to sit where we wanted, given menus, ordered drinks. Our server was personable, made regular check ins and food time from order to service was perfect. Now what motivated me to write this review was mainly because of the food. Because honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. With the Island /Hawai'i thing being their theme, some of their menu that reflected that. So I decided I'd give some of my island favorites a try, of course with some lowered expectations. I mean I've eaten at some local island/Hawaiian places here in Western Washington run by islanders that were subpar and some cases bad. The meals I gauge would the loco moco and spam musubi. So at the Twisted Lime, that's what ordered. Wifey had a big ol' plate of their Nacho Mama. Her take, loved it. Perfect as not so much stuff on it to make the chips all soggy, go good amount of toppings, nice crisp chips and the guacamole, super tasty. My meal, I was pleasantly surprised. The musubi was excellent. That being a good SPAM to rice ratio, nice strip of nori and good flava. In case you wonder, most good musubi should have a piece of SPAM at least 1/2 thick, and rice 3x that. Place that cheap out give a sliver of SPAM and a butt-ton of rice. Examples of poorly made musubi: the ones they make at Town and Country Market in Mill Creek and Marination at T-Mobile. If you like 'em from those places, good on you. But if you ever had a well made, well proportioned one, you'll never go back. Examples of local perfect musubi: Sushi Spott so far has my number one spot, but Hawaiian Sun in Everett, and as of this review, Twisted Lime has damn good musubi. Now for their Loco Moco. First off, damn fine presentation, second off, "ONO GRINDZ". I wouldn't say broke da mout, but pretty damn close. Good proportions of rice, good amount of gravy with good flava, two beef patties, also with good flava and a nice egg over-easy. My only comments are, 1. For their loco moco price ($18), only one egg? I know that most loco mocos I've made or ordered, standard (especially in Hawai'i), two eggs brah! 2. If you wanna do the whole Aloha theme, Hawaiian mac is a standard/complementary side of any Hawaiian meal. Not something to be added to the price. Any plate lunch includes Hawaiian mac. Seriously, Google Search images. Kinda like burgers, fries should always be included, so bravo to the places that do that and shame on the ones that charge over $10.00 for a burger and don't include fries. 3. For a neighborhood bar, I'm surprised it isn't family friendly for a time. Example, the Savage Moose in Kenmore, sports bar, FF until 2100 hours. 4. No smoking or vaping in the outdoors seating? It's.....outdoors. It's not like you're out there for the view unless you enjoy the view of other businesses and a neighborhood street. But whatever. Bottom line, the food tasted good and didn't disappoint. Good solid service (can't speak to when it gets crazy busy). Star lost on the above comments, but otherwise I would definitely go there again. If anything I'm now curious of how their Kalua Pork is, comparatively speaking to what I know is good Kalua Pork.

I've been aware of the Seattle location because of the cute name, like mountain bao, but never visited. Lynnwood (Mill Creek) area is a bit more convenient, so decided to stop by. Kind service, mainly taking orders and dropping off food, but was pleasant. Green Beans - solid green beans! No meat but stir fried well. A bit pricey but a solid shareable portion. I'd love a version with some meat but I can appreciate being vegetarian friendly. Pan Fried Pork Bao - sadly no soup in this pan fried bao. I think there was too much bread because everything was very doughy while the actual pork was tiny in comparison. If there was more meat then maybe the extra large dough would be okay. On the bright side I guess this is a filling item with the carbs. Xiaolongbao - Unfortunately, 2 out of 8 XLB were ripped and the soup spilled in the steamer. Those ones were extremely sad and disappointing. However, even the remaining 6 XLB didn't have that much soup. I would skip the XLB here which sucks because the place literally has bao in the name. Shu Mai - tasty, hearty, comfy, and satisfies the craving perfectly. Large and scrumptious, as delicious as any dim sum spot. Highly recommend because I was shocked, not expecting much.

I got an order of their pulled pork breakfast burrito, which I've never tried before. Traditionally, it comes w your choice of pancakes or toast/hashbrowns. They let me upgrade the regular buttermilk pancakes to their lemon blueberry ones. Ultimately, the total came out to around $27.50 after tax/tip (I "only" tipped $2 since I was picking up). Ok so here are my ratings: - service 5/5 - burrito 3.5/5 - pancakes 4/5 - price 3/5 The burrito was solid. I just wish their was more to it. Like maybe some veggies or spice or pico or anything lol. The pancakes were the best part of the meal. You really don't even need to add syrup since it comes w the lemon cream cheese frosting on top and in between each of the 3 pancakes. The combination of that lemon + blueberry was ono and that's coming from a guy who typically doesn't choose lemon style desserts.

The sausage links and hash browns were decent. Portions were big! Service: outstanding! Our server was friendly and attentive. Ambiance: comfortable seating, and clean restrooms For $70 and change for a party of two, I expect food that tastes better than what I can make at home. If you want to spend this kind of money on a breakfast that is outstanding, try George's in Kirkland.
