The wife and I have lived in this area for 84 years. Last night we were celebrating our 33rd anniversary. We love Anthonys so thought we would give Emory's a try being they are a few miles from our home. We were seated in a very nice area outside with a view of the lake. Everyone acted as though they were happy to be working that evening. Wife and I both ordered the 3 for $33. Wild Salmon Duet. Char grilled citrus butter shrimp. Course 1, good. Main meal, Served on a large bowl, not a dinner plate so everything was on top of each other. The salmon was very good. The shrimp, med sized, reminded me of a bag of frozen shrimp that was dropped into some water, taken out to dry and dropped on the plate. I do not like to complain to a server but when he came to check on us, my wife told him the Shrimp was cold and chewy while I told him they were dry and tough. He did offer to get me a another order of shrimp but I declined. I want it right the first time. Oh, when we got our first course, I had a cup of clam chowder and the wife had a Salad, we asked if they did not serve bread with this meal. I think he told us they did but was it was not ready as of yet. We di get it served after we had finished our first course and a small bowl of olive oil and garlic. No butter. No, I did not ask for some. Why should I have to? So, bottom line, the dinner of celebration cost $100 even with the tip. I think maybe we will stick to Anthonys from now on. Great atmosphere and outside dining. Nice menu. Food is a little bit uneven. We ordered pizza one night and waited a long time for it. Finally, upon asking the waiter about it, he told us that they were having trouble getting the pizza dough to rise so the chef had made our pizzas with cauliflower crust. Not acceptable to us. We had to wait again for menus so we could re-order, which we did. In the middle of our meal, pizza in boxes arrived at our table because apparently the chef had gotten some of the dough to rise. It was a little weird and communication between the kitchen and the waitstaff and the customer was not great. We came here for the all you can eat crab night and it was really fresh, The crab was great. I appreciated you could have it cold or hott, served with lemon and hott butter. They also have a great chocolate martini and their spicy bloody Mary's are great. Got the shaking beef appetizer? I think that was my favorite part. We went to Emory's on a Sunday night and it was really crowded. It pays to get reservations. As noted in the title, it sits right on a beautiful lake and you have the choice to eat outside or in. The interior is very nice also. Service was excellent and very friendly. For appetizers, we had the spicy buffalo cauliflower and the bruschetta flatbread. The cauliflower is really spicy--but also tasty. The flatbread was excellent. The crust is perfect, with a great mix of toppings--in particular the tomatoes and balsamic glaze were perfect complements. I had one of the special items, halibut with risotto and mushrooms. The halibut was cooked perfect--buttery, not too dry, well seasoned. The risotto was delicious also, great meal. I also tried some of the salmon--this was really great as well. For dessert, we had the mixed berry shortcake. This was excellent as well--the berries were super fresh and the cake was wonderful. Went out for my brother's birthday last night and for the most part it was nice.the setting by the lake was great and crowd was pretty quiet . My wife had the seafood risotto and it was great we both shared calamari and it was as normal pretty good but nothing special. But then I got my steak the northwest top sirloin 39$ my brother had the ribeye 62$ so between us 101$ dollars and it tasted like someone just threw on a hot pan and brought it out. Both were ordered medium rare both came out close to medium or medium well. They both had zero flavor you'd think for 101$ you'd get at least salt....nope we had to keep adding that ourselves. How does one call themselves a chef and not know the basics of seasoning! Little bit of butter some garlic salt pepper thyme rosemary....ever heard of these. This was my first time here so not sure how meat was cooked in the past but we were very disappointed if I ever go back we will just share the risotto. read more

Let me start by saying the location is fantastic, located on silver lake, with a large patio to enjoy the nice the scenery. The staff was friendly and seated My party at our table. We came for lunch during a weekday, so it wasn't very busy. I ordered the Lavender Drop Martinito, and wow!!! It did not disappoint. I'm a huge fan of lavender and huckleberry, however I was a bit apprehensive about the combo. It ended up being perfectly balanced without being too sweet. Here's where I go wrong, I ordered the pizza. I think I should've stuck to something seafood, or something, as that is what they are known for. I didn't, I figured, let me get a pepperoni pizza, what can go wrong lol? Unfortunately my pizza was drowned in sauce, so much sauce I couldn't eat it. I literally ate the crust and called it a day. Appetizers: Ahi tuna Calamari Clam chowder soup Entree: Pablo crusted Alaskan cod Calamari was the best dish of the night, but it was only above average. The ahi tuna had these good taro chips but the chips were thin and didn't hold the tuna well. Flavor was okay. Clam chowder was average. Alaskan cod was very dry and bland. There was a only a little bit of sauce on the veggies. The mashed potatoes were above average though. The portion sizes are very large, but prices are high so it goes hand in hand. Emory's is about 2 miles away from our home, my husband and I exercise with our boys around Silver Lake at least twice a week and promised ourselves we would order take out from Emory's this weekend. I placed our order via Yelp through ChowNow, I appreciate being able to place what time I wanted to pick up the order. Emory's has a really nice contactless takeout system that allows for customers to stay in the car. As a vegetarian I typically don't have much to choose from at seafood establishments, but Emory's has significant options for vegetarians and those who need gluten free selections. We all really enjoyed our food, and the customer service provided by Jeff and staff members was spectacular. We will definitely return, and highly recommend!! read more

Made reservations for my man's birthday on NYE. Dinner time was 4:45pm since they were booked until 8pm. We were greeted nicely and seated quickly when we arrived. They took drink orders immediately. The last time I ate here was four years ago, and it was divine. This visit did not disappoint either. We ordered calamari to share while we decided on our meals. Our waitress was friendly and helpful when choosing our food. My guy does not like calamari but he said he would try it because we commented on how good it was, guess what? He loved it! Crispy and fresh tasting with a light batter. We ate the whole plate. They also served warm rolls with garlic herb olive oil, that was delicious. For dinner I ordered the lamb shank. This was a huge serving that literally was not even attached to the bone, it was so soft, moist and melted in your mouth! It came with mashed potatoes and broccolini with a sauce that the lamb was stewed in. This gravy was thick and rich with flavor. My love ordered the Chicken penne saltimbocca. This was a generous portion of soft chicken breast in a cream sauce with perfectly cooked penne pasta. Rich and creamy, it was delightful. Our friends ordered the pork chop and the surf and turf. The pork chop was a large thick chop, tender and flavorful with a side of mashed potatoes and veggies. She loved it. The steak and prawns were cooked perfectly as ordered. Again with mashed potatoes and veggies. The prawns were rich with herbed butter. The steak melted with every bite. We truly could not have had a better meal. We all walked away fat and sassy, with leftovers to enjoy at home! The ambiance was nice, not too loud, lighting could be a little brighter, the lake is pretty with the sun going down. First time at Emory's and I think we will return. We enjoyed our food and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Service was standard and the portions were a bit small for the price, but if you realize that you're paying for the atmosphere and the view then the food seems more reasonable. Would give a big fat ZERO if I could. 1. Made reservations on Open Table that explicitly stated 'outdoor dining' (staff tried taking us to a table smack in the middle of a crowded restaurant indoors, and when we stated we had outdoor reservations, they said it wasn't a thing, argued with me and it would be a 40 minute wait). 2. Mask requirements are in full effect for Snohomish County (too bad the girl at the front didn't have her mask covering her nose and they were blatantly allowing people to leave and enter the restaurant maskless, and gather in the front, blocking the doors, maskless). 3. Parking should be available for patrons of the restaurant (instead of making them park somewhere 'across the street', if the lot is full, meaning, 'across a 4 lane highway with a turning lane where cars are going upwards of 50mph). Didn't see the menu, didn't try the food, definitely don't want to give this another opportunity since the experience was so incredibly sour. What a shitshow. Learn how to communicate with your customers, learn how to make people adhere to mandates for the safety of everyone, and learn how to set something up properly on OpenTable to prevent customers from making an hour+ drive to get somewhere they think will be relatively safe by eating outdoors at a mask-required space during a pandemic. Immediately found another restaurant nearby with outdoor seating and went there instead, where masks were required and people wore them, and the staff was non-confrontational. read more

My husband & I celebrated our anniversary dinner last night at Emory's. We had a great time & our server, Selena, was so friendly & attentive. She saw on our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary and it made us feel special that she mentioned our anniversary. Our meals were so delicious! I got the chicken penne dish and it was creamy but not too rich creamy. The marsala wine came through just perfect. My husband said his steak turned out exactly how he wanted it. My husband and I dined here for dinner with a few friends. My friend was able to make reservations that same day and we were seated right away upon arriving at our designated time. The first thing to mention is the parking lot can get completely full during peak times and you might not find a spot. We were lucky to find one behind the restaurant near the dumpster. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant is classic PNW style and classy. It has a gorgeous view of Silver Lake and sunsets are fun to watch from their lake view tables. They do have an outdoor seating area which would be nice during summer lunch hours. Unfortunately, service was very slow. We were out of the restaurant 2 hours after our reservation time. We can't complain because we were quite enjoying our time with our friends. Just don't expect a quick dining experience. My husband ordered the large chicken salad which he thought was overpriced for what it was. I ordered the Salmon entree which I thought was very delicious but the portion size was smaller than expected for the cost. For dessert we ordered the crème brûlée which was excellent. Overall, we'd return for the gorgeous sunset view over the lake and to try other yummy seafood options off the menu. read more

It's time for me to reconsider my earlier rating, and to do it by a wide margin. This place might have gotten too packed for my tastes last time, and had too lousy a band. But that doesn't mean they aren't decent at what they do. If you're not crazy picky about food and especially if you can snag an outdoor table on a nice day, definitely feel free to push this up a star. It's still a nice-enough building by a busy road on the shores of a small lake. On a pretty sunny day, you might get one of the 40 or so tables on the lakeside deck, and get to watch kayakers, kids fishing off the dock, ducks flying around, and other tranquil scenery. Traffic noise isn't too bad, and the houses don't mess up the view. The service is mostly kids working their way up in the industry, and doing a pretty good job of it. They are right on point with every table visit. We sat down to a plate of calamari and a cup of french onion soup. The calamari had good texture (most important part) and the flavors were fine but super mild. The sriracha-blended dipping sauce added a little life to it. The soup was pretty good. Maybe a bit sweet, but plenty of onion flavor, nice big croutons that didn't turn to mush, and plenty of cheese. The cheese wasn't quite melted enough to easily pull off small bites, so 60% of it ended up in one big mouthful, but it tasted good. The house white wine was fine, and the pint of Bodhi was plenty cold, fresh, and served really clean (clean glass, clean lines). We repeated each of these. The clam entree was really nice. Only one clam didn't open. Good flavors on all the rest. Nice mild seasonings. The french dip sandwich was very good--tender meat, just enough cheese to keep it from being plain. Lightly moistened mini-baguette, with a bowl of good jus for dipping. The french fries were the best part of the whole meal--crisp outside, light inside, bit of seasoning. Worth bragging about. The whole megilla (2 entrees, 2 apps, 2 wines, 2 beers) was $111 before tip. Fair value for the money. The apps could have both been easily improved, which would have made the price seem totally fair. As it was, the price wasn't annoying, but it made me think I need to order things that I know will be exactly what I want before I'm 100% comfortable with the number. It's just enough cash that you walk away thinking "well, I wish we could fine-tune this or that so it felt like it covered all the bases for the money." But I can now definitely say I'll be back. read more

This place came highly recommended and quite honestly didn't live up to the hype. Was it good, yes, but it was far from great. Several things make up a great restaurant experience and here is a sampling. Great Food, Fast Friendly Service, Reasonable Pricing, and a Comfortable Stay. Emory's had none of this, so allow me to break down our stay. First was parking. There were two other cars trying to find a spot in this cramped lot. We had to execute 4 point turns just to get out of the dead end we found ourselves in. As it turns out. During this turn, we spotted someone leaving and got a great spot, but the lot was packed and even though they have a secondary lot, for the prices charged, they need valet service on peak hours to make guests feel valued and welcome. We had reservations and much to my surprise, they were ready to seat us right away. Too a while for the server to show, he took drink orders. He returned with drinks and left again. When he returned minutes later, he asked us about "Small Plates". We responded by advising we're hungry and wanted big plates. Why are you trying to pace my meal. It's busy, we're hungry, get us in and out. He took our order and advised he'd be back with bread. Bread? We've been here 15 minutes and you are just talking about bread, WE'RE HUNGRY! He came back 5 minutes later, empty handed, I asked about the bread and he told us it was still coming. And it did come about 5 minutes later, the bread was really good, but not worth the extended wait. When the food came, it was decent, but certainly over prices. I had the $25 room temp French Dip. The beef was tender, but the combination of the weak, lukewarm au jus and stale fries just made me feel like I heated up Arby's. One friend had the fish and chips, he liked it, but he is also Mikey, he eats everything. Another friend had the Palmera pizza, which came highly recommended by our server. He was not at all impressed. At no point was anybody rude, everybody was pleasant, but the service was really slow, the food was not served hot or fresh and the portion did not compliment the price. In the end, I have paid considerably less for pleasingly more. This place must be the only game in town, because I wouldn't be open to returning. I think we could have done much better at the Keg in Lynwood or even alternative spot in Bellevue or Seattle. This place was not foot forward. read more

Emory's is always a wonderful experience! We've been here twice now, both times for our anniversary which is the one time a year we splurge on a really good dining experience. Both visits to Emory's have been top notch. From the hostess stand to the bill pay, the customer service is incredible! Everyone is smiling and personable! Our waiter even took time to take some pictures for us! I love the ambiance here! It's warm, cozy, welcoming. Tonight is particularly cold but the temperature inside was perfect (we even had a conversation about it). The fireplaces add a lodge aesthetic and it feels like the perfect little escape. Factor in the gorgeous view and it's just lovely! The food- impeccable! Tonight my husband had a New York steak, medium rare and it was seared to perfection! The vegetable mix was so colorful and full of flavor. I had the saltimbocca- perfect! Creamy with the perfect amount of seasoning! Visited on 12/7/24. One star because the food was surprisingly poor. The seafood risotto had undercooked rice, very overcooked little lumps of various seafood, and wasn't seasoned, lacking salt. My husband's shrimp louie had the same overcooked shrimp and an avocado that wasn't ripe and was hard. It's almost like they precook all the seafood and just toss it onto whatever dish calls for seafood. We won't return. read more
