Never in my life have I had a more embarrassing experience then my family had at Emory's while celebrating a birthday. We had a reservation for (6) to celebrate my sons 23rd birthday. Upon arrival we all ordered drinks. My 23 yr old son ordered a frozen beverage and when the drink arrived, our server out of the blue says in front of the dining room, 'Are you not 21?' My son responds that he is 23. Our server immediately leaves our table and we are approached by a very rude and unprofessional female Manager. The first words our of her mouth were quote, 'We do not serve underage individuals at Emory's and if it happens again, we will have to ask you to leave.' Put this in perspective, she said this loudly in front of the entire dining room when we were seated in a middle table. I immediately questioned her approach and asked her who at the table was underage? She literally points to my son who stated he was 23 and asked what made her think he was underage and she said, 'Your server told me you were' - Absolutely unreal. Rather than discretely asking my son his age, she accused him of breaking the law and lying all based on a false assumption by our server and announcing it to the entire restaurant. All she had to do was check his ID and she would verified his age. Because she broke protocol and ever checked ID's, she decided to shift blame and accuse my son of being underage. Once our Manager and Server left our table after the big scene, we were the talk of the restaurant. Nearby diners could not be how unprofessional the Emory's treated us and were appalled by the Managers accusation and threat. Needless to say, we will NEVER be back to Emory's and will share this story to anyone who asks about the restaurant. read more

4.5 stars. The restaurant was nice and bright. It has beautiful lake view. The food came out so fast I was surprised. The hot crab artichoke dip was amazing. I thouht it would be too much w lots of cheese and bread. But it impressed me. The bread and garlic olive oil, oil was delicious but bread was so bad. It didnt look like those nice bread I saw on yelp. Beef burgundy and chicken penne both were delicious. The beef stew was salty which I dont like but still good. This place is expensive, its nice for special occasion. They took our picture for our anniversary and printed out for us to bring home. I think thats pretty smart giving gift like this as a business. I will be back for more food. read more

Went to Emory's on silver lake tonight for a early birthday dinner for my wife. We've been here a few times for an anniversary dinner and a Easter brunch in the past, we always have had dinner inside but tonight we were offered a table in their semi outdoor dining area I'm glad we went with that choice. It's fall right now but Emory's has a nice gas fireplace and other heating that kept us comfortable during our dinner also the view of silver lake is nice adding to the ambiance. Well we started with a couple of adult beverages, I had the black walnut bourbon while my wife had her usual greyhound both were delicious. Moving on to our appetizers, Nancy my wife chose the garden salad and I had the clam chowder, the salad looked great but I can say for a fact Emory's chowder could give a local legends chowder a run for its money in my opinion. The chowder wasn't too thick you could taste the bacon but it was second to the clams which were very abundant just a very flavorful chowder highly recommended. Nancy chose the bistro steak for her main while I went with the free range duck breast. So I didn't get a taste of Nancy's steak tonight but it looked like the chef nailed the medium rare done ness that she asked for. Also the asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes were delicious according to my wife , my wife always brings home some of her dinner so I might get a chance to sample a bite of her steak later. Now it's not a complaint well maybe a little bit but the portions for my duck breast was kinda small, I know it says 6 oz breast in the menu but reality didn't measure up to my imagination. Ok other than that it was a awesome plate, I've never had cotton candy grapes til tonight but they were a nice sweet but not overly sweet counter to the rice and demiglase . My duck breast was cooked to a slightly less than medium done. Probably because it's farm raised you know it's duck when you take a bite but without the gamey ness of a wild duck. I really enjoyed my meal so did my wife happy birthday early Nancy!!!! read more

Thank you for updating the menu and adding back several items including the chicken strips. Definitely going back!!!

Service was good but the food was just ok for the price. Not super impressed and probably won't be taking the time to come back.

Quite a find and relatively lesser known silver bullet! Gorgeous location and definitely recommend sitting in the patio facing the water. They have heaters which work magic. Loved the tradition fish n chips (can't go wrong) and a decent selection of beer. It is pricey and so I'd recommend finding your occasion. read more

Emory's is a restaurant where I'd love to share with my whole family. We went to Emory's with no expectations and were blown away by our experience, especially with the warm hospitality that's missing from many of our "fancier" restaurants. It was comforting without feeling kitch-y, fancy without feeling uncomfortable and stuffy. We were taken straight to the covered outdoor seating next to the lake after disclosing that it was our very first dining experience at Emory's. The menu is vast and a little intimidating. My partner ordered the Chef's special swordfish entree and I ordered the seafood risotto. We shared a nice (very up-charged) bottle of red wine from Alki Winery and the crab & artichoke dip. If you're looking to have well done, elevated comfort food that is just SOLID, this was it. We weren't mind-blown by any of the dishes with flavors we've never experienced, but everything was still delightful. The decor was homey and warm. The staff was friendly and insightful. Four star due to price! However, despite that, we will certainly be returning! read more

The food is good, the staff are lovely and Nick and Andrew are wonderful bartenders, we love having date night here!

We used to love Emory's,but since the sale and new owners good has gotten worse portions smaller, and price higher. We thought first time was maybe just a bad day, but second time was even worse the garlic bread French dip used to be amazing, now it is on a tiny baguette with no garlic bread flavor. They used to have great shoestring fries now they were cold and not crispy. I would of asked for hot fries but we hot pun in a side room with a large party and our waitress was solely focused on them. This is probably our last time there sadly we loved it there read more

Service and food have sadly gone down hill since new ownership took over. We have tried it 4 or 5 times and leave disappointed. it's close to home and the patio is great so we will probably come back for a drink or app but not as much as before. read more

Such a beautiful location, reasonably priced food! For the view, service and food, this place gives you the biggest bang for your buck! I will definitely be back! We got lucky with outdoor seating, getting the prime seats made our night! Our server was Katrina, she was super sweet, but to be honest, every one, including the hostess and buss boys were kind and friendly! Will definitely be back! Gave it one less star because the steak meat wasn't the best! But it's an all American place so I shouldn't expect steakhouse quality meat! So technically it should be 5 star! read more

We recently ordered to-go as the wait here was going to be 30 + mins. I ordered on their website a burger and was happily surprised that I could " make it gluten free." My happiness turned to shock when I opened my meal. I got a small burger with cheese and 1 piece of wilty lettuce. Here, make it gluten free means to remove your bun and your fries (because they couldn't guarantee cross contamination). They easily could have added some side vegetables or a salad; even a lettuce "bun" if they didn't have gluten free options. Instead they up charged me $1 for added cheese. This sad piece of meat cost almost $30 with tip. Pretty disappointing. read more

Have always wanted to try this place and it is right on the lake. Perfect setting for a belated mother's day dinner with my wife. Service was excellent. Had to ask for the complementary bread that I thought just came with the entree. The food tasted okay, nothing really special. I had the wagyu steak and prawns. Good portion size on the steak, however wasn't as tender as I had expected. Flavor of steak was okay, but not great. Garlic steak butter was overpowering. Garlic mash and asparagus were good. 3/5 on my dish. My wife had the seafood bouillabaisse and didn't really like it at all. Seafood had the flavor cooked out of it and smelled off. Onions weren't cut very well and was awkward to eat. 2/5 on her dish. Calamari appetizer was okay, aioli basically tasted like mayonnaise. Calamari could have had more seasoning. 2/5. Value for the food was 2/5. I wish the food would have been more epic for the $50 per person. Ambiance was 5/5 on the patio. Overall this meal left many things to desire. If the food would have been better this could easily be a 4/5. Wish I could report better as this restaurant has a lot of potential. Perhaps it was an off night, but i doubt we will be back to experience another. read more

Loved this place! I can't wait to return! Fortunately one of my best friends just moved into this neighborhood - it will surely become our new spot! I met another friend here for happy hour before going painting. We enjoyed our time here so much we didn't realize we were late to our class! Excellent wine, fresh delicious salad, and hot artichoke and crab dip to die for! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Looking forward to returning very soon! read more

Happy hour prices were great, especially considering the large portions. My friend and I ordered a Caesar salad (standard), the ahi tuna poke stack, and the hot crab, artichoke, and cheese dip. We were both impressed with how much crab was in the dip, and it was fabulous. The ahi tuna was delicious too - and it comes with taro chips that did not disappoint. They have great wine/food specials if you sign up for their club, which is free to do. Parking was limited though for the size of the restaurant. Great views of Silver Lake also. I was here with a friend, but the low lighting and atmosphere would be good for a date too read more

Incredibly disappointed Emory's has been our go to restaurant for special occasions because of their great food and wonderful service. unfortunately, tonight both were less then stellar. we waited over an hour for our entree and then another hour before we could leave. The cod and halibut were both fishy which usually means old. the calamari appetizer was over cooked and leathery. Guess we will be searching for a new special occasion location. read more

3.5 stars. We were able to walk right in on St. Patrick's Day, around 7:30. We appreciated this as other places we tried were about an hour wait! We even lucked out and got a window table with a great view of the lake. I enjoyed the 'Tropical Spritzer' non-alcoholic drink. I wasn't expecting to think anything of it but I'll probably order it again and add vodka, yum! I also had a cup of chowder and the seafood risotto. The chowder had a nice flavor and texture but it was way too salty! Also, if you're going to charge me $8 for a cup of chowder, it better be the best chowder I've ever had and it wasn't. The seafood risotto was very good! I've never had risotto before so can't judge it in that sense, but I enjoyed it a lot. The clams were good size but a little briny for my liking. Other than that, no complaints and I'm already planning a return visit just to get another taste of that dish. Unfortunately, others at my table didn't enjoy their entrees as much as I did. We all tried the flatbread, it looked great but tasted terrible. The steak was just okay. None of us liked the brussels sprouts appetizer either. As far as service, our server was friendly but not very efficient. We were seated quite a while before she took our food order, in fact, we received and ate most of our appetizer before even placing our food orders. We also waited a while to pay. She then forgot to bring us a box for our leftovers so we had to wait around for that. I'll be back for the atmosphere and lake views (and risotto, of course!) but overall food and service didn't meet expectations. read more

Great spot to go on a Sunday for Happy Hour! Especially great when the weather is nice and sunny! I had been wanting to try Emory's out for their HH for quite sometime! We decided to go on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We sat on their back patio, which was covered and screened in. They have patio heaters to keep you warm (on a crisp & sunny fall day!) I imagine in the summer, they probably open up the screens for that beautiful unobstructed view of the lake! Can't beat the location and the view! Sunday's they have happy hour starting when they open which I believe is 1pm. I got the Thai Chicken Skewers. On HH they were $8.50. To me that seemed a little steep for a HH appetizer. I was pleasantly surprised when they came out, the serving size was very generous! Typically HH are small portions, but clearly not an issue at Emory's! Made the $8.50 price tag worth it! They were delicious. So tender, great flavor and not fried (at least they didn't appear to be!) Their HH draft beers were $6 each. Decent list of options, better than some restaurants. I'm a beer snob and my beer standards are high... I like a good variety of Craft Beers to choose from. Emory's probably had about 8 (non-commercialized beer, AKA craft beer) on tap.... and about the same amount of "crap on tap". Gotta appeal to the masses, I suppose! Overall, I enjoyed HH at Emory's. Great atmosphere for a day date! I'll be back when the warm weather returns! read more

First time here and it definitely won't be our last. We were sat immediately, even though it was a busy Saturday night. We started with the crab artichoke dip for an appetizer and it was great! A local restaurant in a nice setting on the water. Service was terrific and food was delicious.

Overpriced food, overpriced alcohol. I'm actually surprised they don't accept EBT. If you're looking for good quality food and NOT overpriced garbage, Outback Steakhouse is well worth your money. Don't waste your money here. Happy hour is not very happy for your wallet. read more

Was glad when this place changed hands. The old management could be quite rude and had this air about them that Emory's was a much better place than it actually was. It kept us out of their for a long time because we don't do rude. The building was always pretty nice and the view, but it was kind of like a glorified sports bar to us. Went back again for the first time since Anthony's took over. A Wednesday between 5-6. The place was fairly empty, in spite of great weather. The Service was good, but it was a tad slow. We asked for salads before the meal and was also hoping for bread before the meal. The bread finally came, then right away, the salad- then right away the full meal. Might be nice to have bread, a few minutes later the salad, let us finish it, then the full meal. I don't blame the server for this, she was great and we tipped her as such. The drinks took a long time to arrive as well. Finally, the menu used to be a lot more varied and also had more flavor, or that's what I remember. Last night, there were 2 steaks on the menu and most of the rest seafood and pizza. I can go to Giorgios in Everett for a great pizza (you should too) and we're not seafood eaters. The place has always been overpriced. Since we ate outside, it was worth it, but inside, eh, woulda been noisy and not a big deal. They tack a 3% fee on for their kitchen help. I guess that's ok, but why not just roll it into the actual pricing? One good thing: Old Emory's used to tack a 15%(?) fee on for tips to the bill. If you weren't watching carefully, you'd end up double tipping, which happened to us. They seemed to have done away with that. We probably won't go back any time soon. They really need more choices. read more

Food is way over priced and not worth it. My fiance felt sick after the app we ordered.

Started the meal with delicious bread and an oil dip. Unfortunately that was the high point of my meal. I opted for the roasted Brussels sprouts which were supposed to have a citrus butter and hazelnuts. You could barely see the sprouts under the pile of hazelnuts and bacon. I ate three sprouts. They were undercooked with no crisp at all. The hazel it half's were too large and didn't help the dish. The citrus was nowhere to be found and the sprouts had an odd taste, almost like sharp burning rubber. Not strong but there. I had a cup of clam chowder to go with. I always used to like Anthony's chowder but I've got better chowder in cans at home. It was not as thick as I like and fishy tasting. I couldn't bring myself to eat either dish. As a high note the hubby had the seafood risotto which was delicious. The seafood was perfectly cooked and the flavor was very good as well. We finished up with orange creme brulee which was good but the sugar was a little over burnt, likely because they put a little too much on. It's the first time I've had a brulee that was warm because of melting the sugar. This restaurant is very inviting, it always has been. Will we come back? Probably, but I wouldn't have the chowder or the sprouts again. read more

I am hopeful that eating in is far better than the take out we just had. We ordered the calamari, they missed the aoli in the order. We asked for the poke tower without cilantro, it had cilantro and not only that but there was no sign of the vinaigrette, which was described in the menu. The crab dip looked deflated and incredibly small. The pizza, this was good. We ordered the Palermo. Lastly, the Buffalo cauliflower, this was good too. In the end, disappointing for paying 92 dollars (incl. tip). read more

We have eaten here before and it was pretty good, yesterday not so much. The chowder had under cooked potatoes and celery, the plain burger had ketchup, the pizza had way too much goat cheese and the appetizer (fried green beans that were delicious!) came after the main course. The server was having an off day. It was a long wait for food that was not worth the wait, except those green beans! read more

Food poisoning. Finally got a chance to take my wife out on a date night. We ordered crab spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer then rib eye and salmon fettuccini for our main course. We shared each other's dishes. About three hours or so after dinner we got super sick. To the point where we couldn't even hold down water. After 30 hours we recovered and called to inform the restaurant. My wife, who made the call, was told they would be sending us something in the mail. Nothing came. Then she called and told them nothing came and they responded by saying they don't know anything about the situation. Both times we talked to managers. We spent over $200 dollars and they don't seem to care we got sick. read more

Sunday funday happy hour is 2-6pm so we decided to take advantage of it by sitting by Silver Lake enjoying the weather. We requested for outdoor seating and they accommodated us to one of the tables underneath the umbrella because we were offered a direct-sun table and boyyyy was I starting to sweat. Food we ordered one of the specials: shellfish tower that had avocados with Dungeness crabs with bay shrimps, pineapple mango salsa and wonton crisps (3/5 rating because we didn't really get much seafood as avocados). The rest of the meal we ordered the Caesar salad, the margarita pizza, tequila lime penn cove mussels and a couple of the huckleberry kamikaze! Brian, our server was very attentive and friendly. We asked for crushed red peppers for the pizza and peppercini which came out really quick. The environment was relaxing. Water was always filled every 5 minutes. Just an okay experience for lunch. The restaurant is well kept and in a nice location. Nice view of the lake, outdoor patio with fire place, umbrellas at each table. Staff was very nice as well but the food and drink were very subpar for an above average price point. We ordered an Amigo and Huckleberry Margarita, both came out very late (printer issue) after appetizers, they were also very sweet and tasted like all mixer. The Crispy brussel sprout appetizers were okay, but they cut a slice of square cheese in half and lay it on the top to melt. It want very appealing. The tuna tartar was okay, it seemed like they tried to combine a Spanish guacamole between seaweed and the tuna so the spices were a bit conflicting. My husband also ordered steak skewers, the waitress kindly told us the kitchen tends to overcook the meat, so we forwent our usual medium for rare, yet the meat still came out medium well, and for 3 skewers consisting mainly of vegetables the meal didn't seem worth the price point. Overall food was fine, edible, but not something I'd reccomend it revisit read more
