Went to Emory's for lunch. The outside dining was good, great views of the lake. Ordered lunch and the food was not as expected. Ordered gluten free pizza, it came an hour later and was like eating a piece of cardboard with spaghetti sauce. Very little cheese. Also ordered Kalbi beef, that too was awful. The waitress was very nice about the long wait for our meal. The bottle of wine and sitting on the outside deck was nice though. Probably not go back to eat again. read more

Emory's used to be one of our favorite places to frequent, but over the years, the quality has gone downhill. The menu is overpriced and boring. The food is bland, and not what it used to be. I was so excited to see the Beyond Burger added to the menu, but it was WAY overpriced and they didn't do ANYTHING to it. Come on guys, have some fun with this! Add some vegan cheese and caramelized onions. Most upscale Vegan establishments the price is around $15 with the works....Emory's was $16 for just the burger Atmosphere is still phenomenal, but there are other places with water views and better food. Wow, who knew this place was in Everett? Came here with some coworkers for happy hour in a Thursday. They were setting up for some live music, which was pretty good. Unfortunately the weather wasn't all that great, but their outside seating area looked really nice, right on the lake. Their menu was ok, regular happy hour food! If you're looking for a place to impress a visiting guest with an exceptional meal, then sit in the restaurant area. We are regular's here for both types of events, and apparently so are lots of others because Emory's is always busy. Even at their busiest the servers keep up and wear a smile. Last night I tried the Pork T-bone cooked medium. OMG! When the first two plates were set with incredible looking filet mignons I was a little jealous, but after my first bite that all evaporated in a mesmerizing combination of texture and flavor. My husband and I went to Emory's last night for the first time and we both had the Baseball Cut Nebraska steak. It was really good. The infused olive oil and garlic they serve with dinner is the best we've ever had. When we mentioned how good it was the waitress explained to us how they infuse it - I thought that her interest in the how the food is prepared was great. She was able to answer all of our questions about the food - as well as the wine! We will definitely be back! read more

Upper scale restaurants know how to poach eggs 3. Upper scale restaurants know how to cook potatoes 4. Upper scale restaurants don't have kitschy s**t all over the place 5. Upper scale restaurants' champagne glasses don't look like their made for the kid's table Also, the service was REALLY slow considering they weren't very busy. This was one of the first restaurants I ate at when I first moved to WA. It's conveniently down the street from where I live (walking distance!) and at a great location right on Silver Lake. Parking can be a pain here but they do offer complimentary valet service. I suggest sitting on the patio/by the windows if the sun is out (especially in the summer). Emory's has an awesome view of the water. Their HH is reasonably priced in comparison to their regular menu. I love their edamame - seasoned perfectly with garlic, lemon, and red pepper flakes. The lettuce wraps and the calamari are ok. The poke is good, but I've had better. Their dinner prices are average. I've had the garlic prime rib French dip and it was very flavorful, lots of favors hitting your palette. The grilled chicken sandwich could've used more flavor, maybe in the basic pesto or peppers. The bistro steak and roasted chicken are good and comforting. read more

Tried this restaurant for dinner. The staff was very friendly and our waiter was very attentive. He was able to answer all our questions and make suggestions on cocktails and wine. I had the french dip on cheesy garlic bread, which was huge and delicious, and my husband had the halibut pomodoro, also excellent. We had the mud pie for dessert. The restaurant itself has a warm lodge type feel. It is right on the lake with beautiful views. They also have a patio that I want to come back and try on a warmer day. We most recently went to happy hour with some friends so were able to sample good portion of this menu. Pros: *Solid beer selection and always a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant or on the patio - enjoyable place to watch a game *Beef sliders were the consensus favorite with perfect flavor combination. Crab artichoke dip was done just right Cons / feedback: *Less impressed with the lettuce wraps and chicken strips, not bad just a little boring flavor *We were discussing menu with server and ended up getting one of the wrong dishes - didn't mention the mistake and what we got instead was tasty. Obviously most people are going here for the food. It's a pretty nice place and we had really great service. Although I got the rockfish and it tasted really bland. Definitely not worth the price. I have easily gotten rockfish for almost half the price that was twice as good. What my friend ordered was pretty great creamy and she loved it. So I would say nice place with great view a little more expensive but pretty bland boring food that sometimes they do great and somethings fall short. Maybe they just need a smaller menu. read more

I really wanted to love this place. Great view from just about every seat, tasteful interior, excellent service, valet parking, & even with a lot of people the ambient noise wasn't an issue - so all my stars go towards that. We sat in the bar to wait for the rest of our party of 7 to arrive and ordered the bruschetta. The flatbread was good, the topping was unremarkable, kinda seemed like it was out of a jar save for the basil and balsamic drizzle, shaking on some of the blended spice on the table helped a bit. Me and mom ordered the filet mignon, my husband ordered the pork 3 ways and all 3 were over cooked and very dry, the asparagus was nice, the seafood chowder was meh, and the highlight of our meals was the bread with oil dip. We decided to try the desserts; the cream brûlée was good, the beignets were basically round cinnamon sugar donuts with a little filling in them and so disappointing that they were only tasted. The server was very nice and upon seeing that they were barely eaten, took them off the bill. At $120 for 2 people and no alcohol served, one expects better. Maybe the chef was having an off night? Maybe it wasn't the regular chef because it was Easter Sunday? We will check back in a few months in the hopes it was. I will update my review if things change. read more

The restaurant could use an updo, it seems outdated and more like a hotel restaurant. The bar menu is excellent. We sat in the bar first and our waitress had rude undertones and couldn't make a red wine recommendation. We moved to the dining room for dinner and had excellent service. We love Emory's! I will say that their food is pretty pricey but they give decent portion sizes even at happy hour. Recently we sat at the bar on a Sunday during game day. Normally they have Hawk specials and even had special menus on the bar, but they promptly picked them up and said they "didn't have enough cooks" for the menu after we had ordered the queso dip which we did get. Kind of made no sense but whatever. Their bloody mary's are great and their service is usually fantastic. We don't eat here often as the bill can be quite high but we do like it a lot and go as often as our pocket book allows. read more

I really enjoyed this place. We went here with my family and my sister's, fiance's family. We all had a great time. Our waiter was very charismatic and fun. He was very attentive and quick to refill our drinks. We were seated next to the windows that faced the lake and caught the sun set. Without even asking one of their personnel lowered the blinds as it was very bright. A very scenic place where we were seated. Our meals arrived in a good amount of time. The Salmon seemed to be the popular dish at our table and it was cooked to perfection. Others enjoyed some pasta selections and reported that their meal was fantastic. I had the Braised Beef and loved every bite of it. The portions were of a good size and several had leftovers to take home. In the end, we all had a great experince at Emory's and are glad that they reopened after their unfortunate fire. I would reccomned this place.... read more

My husband and I live near Emory's and have eaten there a couple of times a month (minimum) since we moved to the area 15 years ago. We have always enjoyed all aspects of their restaurant which is why we chose to reserve a table for our family on Thanksgiving. I had requested a booth with the understanding that may not happen. When we were taken back, we not only missed out on a booth but we were taken to the bar to eat. Now I'm not opposed to bars, but it's not what I would have planned for Thanksgiving dinner. When I called to make the reservation, I was not informed that this could be a possibility, had I been told that we were going to be eating in the bar I would have found another restaurant. The chairs were hard and uncomfortable, we had a table sitting above us overlooking our table, there was no candle, we were sitting under a bright halogen light and the TV's were on all over. This is not the environment we were looking for when paying fine dining prices ($245.00) for three of us. I just completed 10 months of cancer treatment and we were looking forward to a nice meal. The service was rushed, we were not asked if we wanted a salad or appetizers, which we did order after letting the server know that we were not quite ready to order the main meal.....twice. I suggest for next year that when people call in to make reservations for the Holiday's, let them know what to expect. HUGE disappointment! Laura DeKam read more

We go to Emory's all the time. It's a great place to hang out with friends or see music/play trivia. I love that the menu is always evolving and it's always good! They have a wide variety of fine dining dishes as well as fare that regular folk can afford like burgers and pizza. All are delicious! I have never been disappointed in the food or service. She later came by to inform us she forgot to order our appetizers and asked us if we stilled wanted it. Had to wait to have our drinks refilled while the large party next to use was waited on at every moment. We got our appetizers and entrees and found this place to be extremely subpar and agreed never to return. First $0 tip I have ever left. read more
