Went here in the summer for a work trip. Great photo. Beautiful atmosphere. Delicious food. Timely and considerate staff. Best peach drink I've ever had.

Great spot for a scenic lunch & stroll around Silver Lake with our newborn. We stopped in on Wednesday at 2pm, seated right away. The hostess was super kind, offered a sling for our car seat and made extra space for us. HH menu felt smaller than I remember, but food was still good: calamari (huge + perfectly fried), green bean fries (highly recommend), and Manila clams (would skip next time). We shared a Caesar with salmon, split into 2 plates: tasty but the salmon portion was pretty small for +$15 IMO.

Made an online reservation and waited about 7 minutes to be seated. We ordered two appetizers, soup, and a salad. The spicy buffalo cauliflower was overcooked and overly sauced, and the calamari was mostly small pieces rather than the larger rings I expected. The salad was good, though I didn't expect raw mushrooms. I had planned to order a cocktail with Empress gin from the online menu, but it was no longer available in the restaurant. The cocktail I ordered instead was a bit too sweet. I really liked the atmosphere, but the food was the part I was least satisfied with.

We stopped in on a quiet Thursday night, thinking they wouldn't be very busy... Boy were we wrong! We asked for a table outside, the wait wasn't long at all surprisingly. Shortly after being seated, Rio showed up with water and asked if we had any questions about the menu. If you haven't had dinner on "The Deck" on a beautiful Pacific Northwest evening, then you are missing out! Rio thoughtfully offered to bring us bread while we wait for the Calamari. Calamari that was done very well! Lightly breaded, perfectly seasoned. The dipping sauces were tasty too! I want to apologize in advance for not taking pictures of our entrees, but they looked sooo f'n good we just started murdering them! My Queens steak was a perfect medium rare, and my seafood fettuccine was loaded with deliciousness. We both made sure to leave some room for dessert, which was also done very well. We enjoyed the berry sorbet and the old fashioned berry shortcake. Both were absolutely amazing! Between the stunning view, the great service from Rio and the passionately prepared dishes the talented kitchen was preparing, tonight was an experience worth returning for, Thank you Emory's

My first visit to Emory's left something to be desired. My boyfriend and I decided to stop in for their happy hour, which has a decently sized food and drink menu with reasonable prices. I started with a peach hard lemonade, which was sweet and tangy with an $8.50 price tag. The food, on the other hand, was just alright. Our Woodstone pizzas were tasty, but the crust was underwhelming. This is a seafood restaurant, so the pizza isn't their priority. We dined on the patio, which was pretty toasty on a 70° day. The shades were closed, so we missed out on the lake views. Overall, we had a decent visit, and enjoyed the atmosphere, but won't be rushing back.

Emory's was the choice for tonight's birthday dinner! July 14th sun shining, water still, a few people out on paddle boards, and life as we know it happening! We had an amazing dinner with not one disappointed face. We started with Calamari Fritti and Steamed Clams. The calamari was crispy, with small rings and a really good dipping sauce. The boyfriend and daughter pretty much devoured the clams--they were sitting in the most flavorful lemon-butter sauce, which they both practically wanted to drink. Drinks: Ginger ale and Jameson Berry Berry Drop (beyond delicious) Shirley Temple My daughter had the Garlic Cheese French Dip. It was her first time trying a French dip and she said it was tasty and she enjoyed it. My boyfriend ordered the Creamy Seafood Risotto. Nothing but positive things came out of his mouth with every single bite! He even had enough to take home for lunch tomorrow. I did the 3 for $33 option: Caesar Salad - easily the most delicious and flavorful Caesar I've had in a long time. Plenty of cheese and dressing. Double R Ranch Top Sirloin with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies - ordered medium well and it came out perfect. Flavorful, well-seasoned, and you could cut it like butter. The mashed potatoes were fluffy and seasoned just right. The veggie was peas not my cup of tea, but they looked fresh and my daughter liked them! Dessert: Orange Crème Brûlée. My boyfriend and daughter shared it and loved it! We'll definitely be back for more tasty food!

Food was spectacular. I had a Shrimp Louie salad. I ate everything in this fresh salad, it had eggs, avocados, tomatoes, radishes, olives, orange peppers, tons of delicious shrimp in a very tasty thousand island dressing. Great warm bread with whipped butter. Hubby had steak n shrimp with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Cooked to order and perfect. Laura our beautiful wait staff was terrific. We had for dessert the strawberry cheesecake with strawberries and crème brûlée topping. What a taste sensation!! Go! I wish we had a place like this near where we live. Then we took a walk around the lake behind the restaurant. Full of ducks and fishermen hanging around. Silver Lake is just breathtaking!

The food is acceptable, though it could benefit from additional seasoning. The view of Silver Lake is beautiful.

In all honesty, we had heard mixed reviews from friends so that had kept us at bay for the last couple of years. However, a neighbor who raved about it along with the $50 mailer I received made me feel like this was the time. We arrived about five minutes from our reservation and were seated at our reservation time. The place was definitely hoppin' on a Saturday night at 7 PM. Our service staff was Makayla (sp?) and Kyle. When we got to our table, it was sweet to find a birthday card waiting for me signed by all of the staff. Makayla introduced herself first and offered us various types of water. She was also able to explain some things about the menu before Kyle (our main server) arrived. She was very sweet and knowledgeable, attentive, and we just really loved her. Kyle was an absolute STAR. She definitely knew the menu, had great recommendations, and checked on us the perfect amount of times. We wanted to try a bit of everything so we ordered quite a bit for two people with the expectation that we would take some home. For appetizers, we ordered the beef tartare, the Caesar salad, and the Parker house rolls. Drinks: Lady Luck (very refreshing, reminded me of a mimosa in some ways) and an Old Fashioned which my husband thought was excellent. For our entrée, we ordered the Associate board which came with filet mignon, tri-tip, and the Denver steak. It also came with bone marrow, beef tallow butter, pickled onions, Bearnaise sauce, steak sauce, and a Santa Maria salsa. It was explained to us that this board had Wagyu beef while the Executive had more ounces of meat and dry aged steaks. Both boards come with a fillet, bone marrow, and all of the sauce accompaniments. We also ordered the whipped potatoes and the broccolini as sides. For dessert, we ordered the Butter Cake and the Bananas Foster cheesecake. Everything was paced perfectly. We both loved the rules and the salad. Personally, I did not care for the tartare. The salt and vinegar chips were just too salty for my liking and the beef was a bit tough. My husband enjoyed it quite a bit, though. Our board arrived with hot dinner plates. We were warned ahead of time that things tend to be on the saltier side so we asked for them to go light on the salt. They brought us a side of Maldon salt to add if we needed to which we did. I appreciated that input because I am somewhat put off by too much salt. We ordered the steaks medium rare. We were also warned that the tri-tip can be chewy and it was, but it tasted nice. The Denver was definitely more on the rare side which my husband was ok with by I wasn't excited about. The very end piece was maybe a tad more done, but I tasted just the one piece and moved on. To me, the Filet was the best. Sauces: We both preferred the steak sauce but we also felt like when we were really missing was a sauce like a chimichurri. The bearnaise sauce was my second favorite but be warned that it's very rich. I'm sorry to say it but the Santa Maria salsa tasted exactly like Pace Picante Sauce. A chimichurri would have been a million times better. The marrow was like butter and meant to spread on the meat as such. We didn't care for the tallow butter. The broccolini was the real star in my book! I loved the char and the yogurt sauce was a nice pairing. The whipped potatoes were also delicious. Both desserts were excellent! I can't even pick which one was better!! I would go back for the desserts alone. They also sent me a free scoop of the ice cream of the day which was a peanut butter fudge flavor. They had a birthday candle in it which I thought was a really nice touch. I would give 5 stars for the service for sure! We will definitely be back, but we both agreed that we would likely order individual steaks instead of a board next time. We were happy to try what we did, though, and thought the meal was fantastic even if we liked some things better than others. Loved the atmosphere. It was lively and a mix of classic and modern. I'm very happy to have Rare Society in Mill Creek!

You walk in to a shelf full of solid-value wines, mostly local, aimed to pair with whatever you might take home with you to cook. The ceilings are high, and the walls and floors are all spotless white. No decorations, very little merchandising, if any. There's a long butcher case on the left full of all kinds of crazy treats. Prawns the size of bratwursts. Steaks, roasts, different fish. They skip most of the stuff that supermarkets carry and focus only on more-specialty stuff. Their stock is either a nicer version or it's something that's unavailable elsewhere. You do pay for quality like this on some of the stuff, but if you're cooking a meal you're really looking forward to, the value makes it reasonable. Not everything is expensive, either. They had fresh lemons on the case for 40% less than the supermarket up the street. They had reds, whites, bubblies, and pinks in the wine section with every bottle under $20. And those fish dips, man. I'm surprised they don't sell out by afternoon every day. We had wild salmon and black cod dips before dinner last night, and both were fantastic. They're very well balanced, so maybe you could add hot sauce or fresh herbs to taste, but we've had them several times and never felt compelled to tune them up. The dudes behind the butcher case have decades of industry experience, and they couldn't be nicer, more patient, or more helpful. I love shopping here.

I was really happy I was able to get a twice baked potato, because I find them as a delicacy that are slowly fading away. I loved how all the flavors in this just came together so well. And it was definitely the star of the show. For the prime rib sandwich, I found that when paired with the au jus, it came together quite well. I noticed my friend got horseradish with his dish, but I didn't get it with mine. When I added some of that to the sandwich, it elevated it even more. I tried a bite of my friend's prime rib and it was pretty solid. The crispy onion was really good too. The fries from my friend's burger weren't bad either. The…read moresteaks are consistently phenomenal, the atmosphere is polished without feeling stuffy, the desserts are usually excellent, and overall we've always associated The Keg with a higher level of hospitality. This visit was for a particularly important occasion. There were six of us celebrating our friend Amanda's birthday. this year we really wanted the evening to be about celebrating Amanda, surrounding her with people who love her, and giving her a genuinely happy birthday memory. We had a six-top in the bar, and overall dinner was very good. Management seemed attentive, the food was well prepared, and I especially appreciated that they use seat numbers when delivering food rather than standing at the table auctioning off plates. As someone who works in hospitality, that little detail matters. It's professional, polished, and exactly what I expect from a restaurant of this caliber. Our server, Kaylee, I believe, took care of us throughout dinner. Her service style was a little robotic and dry, but everyone has a different personality and that certainly didn't ruin our evening. The meal does take some time, but honestly, we enjoyed that because it gave the six of us plenty of time to talk, laugh, and enjoy each other's company. Unfortunately, the end of the evening is where things really fell short. Toward the end of dinner, I privately found our server and told her it was Amanda's birthday and asked if she could bring out a dessert with a candle. I was hoping for just a small surprise and a nice birthday moment for our friend. Instead, the desserts were brought to the table with the candle unlit, placed in the middle of the table, and then the candle was lit right there. It completely removed the element of surprise and just felt very flat and mechanical. I wasn't expecting a Broadway production or the entire restaurant to sing, but a little warmth and enthusiasm would have meant a lot--especially at a restaurant known for hospitality. We also ordered a crème brûlée, and unfortunately it was genuinely bad. It wasn't sweet and had an overwhelming egg flavor--to the point that everyone who tried it compared it to scrambled eggs. We took one bite and were done. What made that more disappointing was that our server never returned after dropping off the desserts. I had already handed her my card for our roughly $450 check, so there was never an opportunity for her to ask how dessert was or for us to let her know something was wrong. Overall, I'd call this about a 3 1/2 out of 5 experience. The steaks and dinner itself were very good, the restaurant remains beautiful, and there are still many things The Keg does exceptionally well. I just wish the final 15 minutes had matched the level of care shown throughout the rest of the meal. For most people, a birthday candle might seem like a tiny detail. For Amanda, this particular birthday meant a little more. I just wish that moment had been handled with a little more thought and warmth.
