Cute little place in Sierra Madre, charming and welcoming. You place your order and they bring it to your table if you are not just getting stuff to go. This place was recommended by a bake met we go to, Poppy, in Monrovia/Arcadia. I believe they are sister companies. Was expecting a bigger baked goods section but about the same size as poppy. We arrived around 10 am and there was very little to no baked good except for a few bagels and a breakfast sandwich. We tried the breakfast burrito and egg sandwich. The portions are big to justify the prices. My wife got a Pom tea which was delicious. The burrito came with a green salsa which was also very tasty. We missed the morning rush and lunch rush so came in at perfect time but apparently not early enough for baked goods. It's a good place for breakfast, plenty of seating and decor and they have lunch items available early. Will give rate it for today's experience but will maybe change when I come again to try more items. read more

Best corned beef hash around. Chunks of corned beef, not shredded. Potatoes are crispy edged but pillowy on the inside. Service is good. People seem happy. Get the plate, not the burrito, if having the potatoes crisp is important to you. Noisy inside but surprisingly calm on the street. read more

Charming spot with lots of potential--but disappointing execution. The location is adorable and the vibe is definitely what you'd hope for in a local café. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered the avocado toast, which arrived with barely a whisper of avocado--just a thin swipe topped with a few radishes and lettuce. It looked fresh, but sadly it was the most underwhelming avocado toast I've ever had. Pair that with a tiny cup of drip coffee and a small latte, and I left still hungry and frustrated. This place is great! I've come here for dinner and for breakfast and each time I'm like... when's the next time I can come back?!?! Looove their fries here! I got a burger with fries and a pickle and it was soooo good. I wanna come back and try everything on their menu tbh. Right now they only have dinner hours available for three days but I hope that changes soon because I am absolutely craving them right now but it's a Monday night and they won't be open for evening hours til Thursday - Saturday! They have seating inside as well as outside. The high seats inside aren't comfortable so try to get any other seating there haha. A quaint and homey little establishment for breakfast in Downtown Sierra Madre. The location is prime as there are many places to walk around and enjoy. My wife and I shared the delicious breakfast burrito with crispy tater tots and an almond croissant. The breakfast burrito was hearty and complimented with the pico de gallo and tomatillo salsa a perfect blend. I found this gem while going to another location for a sandwich. I decided to comeback the next day to see what they offer for breakfast. That roasted pork breakfast burrito is in a class be itself! The pork is seasoned well and inside was scrambled eggs, jack cheese, avocado mash, pico de gallo, tater tots and salsa verde comes with it. Its enough to hold you until lunch. Cute coffee house that took over the space of "Bean town" in Sierra Madre. Parking street-side and free. Interior is cozy and they have little drawings on the wall with a nice touch. They have a small selection of baked goods (croissants, cookies, breads/pastries), ready made burritos/breakfast sandwiches, and dine-in food menu as well. Tried their chocolate pound cake which was nice. If heated up would have been better but still enjoyed it. Their egg sandwich was like a more sophisticated Burger King breakfast sandwich (in a good way). Hearty and filling. I liked their Breakfast quesadilla as well which was flavorful and a good size. The breakfast was moderately priced, I paid $27 after taxes and tip for the pancake breakfast (two eggs, three strips of bacon, two pancakes) and a cup of drip coffee. I would have skipped the pancakes had I known they were going to be overly laden with cinnamon. They tasted more like French toast. The menu doesn't indicate that they are cinnamon pancakes. It's a cute, small location that gives a kind of retro vibe when you walk in. There's plenty of seating to choose from, like high chairs or regular chairs, but no booths if anyone is into that. I came during rush hour. Waited only a few minutes in line, then we ordered. They had a good selection with pretty good prices. We ordered a. matcha with strawberry foam or syrup, i dont remeber. When the drink came, the matcha wasnt the best quality, and I think they forgot the strawberry. But it wasn't a big issue. Food came a little later, but it's fine. The overall food was amazing. They weren't holding back with ANYTHING. It tasted fresh and homemade. Not to mention the tater tots were so good and crunchy. I'll be coming back. read more

The restaurant replaced Bean Town. There is parking on the street and nearby lots. They have indoor dining. Very spacious, plenty of tables. I tried a blueberry muffin and the breakfast plate with smoked salmon. I didn't read the menu very well but toast comes with butter and jam...well the little carton of red sauce I assumed was ketchup haha but I am sure on the toast would have been quite tasty as well as the rest of everything I ordered. This little gem in Kersting Court (Sierra Madre, CA) is a wonderful spot for a bite to eat. We stopped there for breakfast after a lovely walk around town. The staff were all very friendly and cheerful, attentive and thoughtful. The selection of breakfast items was varied. We ordered the breakfast sandwich (a freshly-made honey baked biscuit with an egg, slice of cheddar, and a homemade sausage patty), a breakfast burrito (egg, cheese, and your choice of meat or veggies. Sour cream and tomatillo salsa on the side. A vegan option is also available), two brioche donuts (1 glazed, 1 cinnamon-sugar), hot chocolate and a mocha latte to drink. Every bite was perfect and flavorful. There's homemade sausage was a delightful surprise; perfectly seasoned and cooked. They have homemade salsa and hot sauce options which had a great balance of flavor and heat. The mocha was one of the best I've had and I am a coffee addict . The hot chocolate was a rich, delicious option as well. There's a nice selection of menu and bakery items, as well as specialty teas and fresh juices. I noticed they have wine and charcuterie options available. The interior atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, just as the location was when it was Bean Town, the previous favorite coffee hangout in Sierra Madre. Wow! Stumbled upon this place after a doctor's appointment, seeking a breakfast location around 12pm on a Tuesday. I ordered the salmon toast, which came with a salad on the side. Husband ordered the loaded breakfast quesadilla. We split an OJ and each got our own hot coffees - mocha latte for me and vanilla maple latte for him. Before we had even tried the food, we also ordered a pita to go with the sauce on the side and a snickerdoodle cookie. The drinks came out first. OJ was good! Mocha latte was good! But the Vanilla Maple Latte? Absolutely to die for. Hubby couldn't put it down until his food came out. The eggs for the quesadilla were perfectly over easy. The quesadilla was FAT and the potatoes were cooked thoroughly without being too crispy. Hubby was worried he wouldn't be able to finish the meal but it was so delicious that he managed! Meanwhile, I'm completely enjoying the salmon toast with fresh dill and scallions. Everything was fresh and soo tasty. Also managed to finish my meal and was absolutely satisfied. Heated the chicken pita up in the air fryer for dinner and then added the lemon vinaigrette and the tzatziki sauce. Grateful they separated this for us so we didn't have a soggy pita. Also delicious. Overall, 5/5 stars. Will be returning to sample other items on the menu and to get my own Vanilla Maple Latte! Oh - and there was steady traffic in/out of this place so it's clearly a favorite. Cute little spot in Sierra Madre. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. My friend recommend this place as she's been before. I was pretty excited for their brisket sandwich as every review I saw was about this sandwich. I went in with high expectations and so I was a little bummed out when I took my first bite. The meet literally had no flavor. None. No salt, no pepper, none. But I will say, the meat was definitely soft and tender which I thought made up for the lack of taste. Had to put a lot of hot sauce just to give it some taste. I don't know if I was supposed to add anything to it but it was such a bummer. The bread was good too. That's why I gave it a 3/5. The tatter tots were good though! Super crunchy and good. Everyone was friendly though and I didn't order any coffee that day since I had work that night but I did have their donut that I did enjoy. We came here on a whim months ago because our daughter's Chiro is in the area. We didn't even know such a quaint neighborhood existed nestled above the freeway. 10/10 recommend. I had lunch here after hiking Sturtevant Falls. It was busy, but food orders came out quickIy. I ordered Emmi's burger with a side of fries, the iced green tea, and a chocolate chip cookie. Unfortunately, I do not have any photos to post because I devoured my food. Everything was delicious! It was probably one of the best burgers I've eaten. My hiking buddies kept commenting on how good my burger looked. I would definitely eat here again if I am in the area. A great place for locals, bicyclists, etc but terrible food. I ordered avocado toast, scrambled eggs and coffee. All...just...terrible. The avocado toast is one piece of under toasted sourdough with something called "avocado mash". I should have known better because this is code for "green spread that tastes nothing like avocado and still costs me $15". Scrambled eggs are very white and taste leads to believe they are diluted with water to save costs. Coffee? An americano that managed to be watery despite being a small. Oooh our new favorite for brunch- this place has delicious eats and a lovely ambiance. I actually think they need a larger space! Price is a bit high but boy that's the best pancake I've had in a long time. Staff is friendly and efficient, makes you feel valued as a customer. You order at the counter and your food is brought to you at your table. They have a couple tiny tables outside, but most of the seating is indoors.
