I called and asked about an inspection for Lyft. I told the woman that I was a brand new driver and needed to know if I should print forms, or make an appointment etc. She was friendly and said they were not busy. When I got there, I got right in. As I sat in the waiting area, the mechanic came to me and said "it's not my responsibility to clean your car. I need you to put your seat up." He was saying this aggressively. I had my seat folded because I had a basket of CLEAN, neatly folded laundry there. I told him I could have folded my seat in the parking lot if I knew it was expected. His comeback was "Next time you can pay for a failed inspection." He spoke like a jerk to his female coworker at the desk as well. A customer was with me in the waiting area who also needed an inspection and he even commented that guy was a jerk. When his turn came, the mechanic asked for his keys and he said "oh, let me get my lunch bag out." The mechanic said "Don't worry, it's ok." The mechanic had tried to fold up my seat prior to asking me. He punched a hole through the Lyft paperwork that was sitting next to my basket of clothes, and he threw the clothes in the back seat so it fell over and most of it was on the floor. But the man with McDonalds wrappers on his seat was talked to in a different tone of voice. Considering I usually support women owned businesses, I strongly recommend Emily get rid of this guy and replace him with someone who is more respectful to women. I was so pissed I forgot to ask for my military discount - I just wanted to get away from him!!!!! I only gave the two stars because the price was ok. read more

We came in for a car inspection. This was our first time going through this process, so we weren't really sure what we were required to do or how to go about it. Right from the get-go, the two employees there seemed annoyed and irritated by our request. When we had accidentally misinterpreted what one of them said, they looked at each other and raised their eyebrows like they were making fun of us. Throughout the entire inspection process, they were so aggressive in telling us what we were supposed to do. We ended up getting frustrated and tried to do everything as fast as possible so we could get out of there quicker. In the end, we got everything we needed done and don't really see a need to ever go back. read more

I had an appointment for an oil change today at 1:30. Personnel shortages at work created a need for me to be in Sammamish this morning and it was gonna be touch and go if I could make my 1:30 back in Everett but I wasted no time as I didn't want to be one of those customers that is either late, reschedules or is a no show. I arrived at 1:23, on time. However in my haste to make my appointment the need to urinate was at an urgent state. I checked in (patiently waiting for the attendant to perform an Uber inspection first) and informed her of my need. I was told that the restrooms are for employees only. It's a small thing maybe but when you gotta go you gotta go. I had no idea and in my haste to be on time just figured that they would have a restroom. I could understand if it was for customers only, but come on! I had a choice at that point, I could leave without an oil change or I could get my oil changed and leave with wet pants. I left and made an appointment to get my oil changed at a competitor as I drove to a bathroom. I will not got back. I'm funny that way, I think I deserve decent treatment at places I trade with. Very disappointed as this has been my go to for mechanical needs the past couple years. read more

I wanted to take the time out to give Mile kudos for an awesome job. Full tune up and oil change and my truck couldn't have been in better hands. I wanted to vent about a review that was left unfairly in my opinion. Someone wrote a bad review because they wouldn't let them use their restroom, this happened to me as well but I understand they don't have the staff to go in and sanitize the restroom all day per covid rules. The review is for the quality of work, cost, and attitude. I felt all of which Mike nailed. A negative review left by someone who got butt hurt because they couldn't control their bladder is on my opinion abuse of what yelp is for. And unfairly reflects their good standing because not being able to use restroom. Mike explained it to me in a nice manner, not that he needed to but took the time to educate me. Great job Emilys garage. And it hope that a few good reviews will put this ladies negativity in the rear view mirror. read more

I was taken back by his demeanor but try to explain to him by he continue to be unprofessional. I park in the parking and told a young lady(helpful) about him but I think it is feels like it is his demeanor to treat customer like this. I contacted Emily's per request on Yelp. My car was pulling to right and l suspected an alignment problem. The friendly staff took car on test drive. Returned with a very straight forward evaluation: right front tire very low on air-duh. Anyway they straightened that out, no pun intended. And I'm on the road again. Furthermore they hooked up their diagnostic computer to my car, no charge for any of this work, and reported l had several emission codes. When I saw the name and realized that Emily's Garage is a female-owned car service business, I decided to go there to support them, since most car service business I've seen in the past were all male-owned. I went in for an oil change and they made the process super simple. They knew what I needed and helped me with it, without trying to advertise a bunch of other unnecessary services to me. I got an oil change here about 3.5 months ago and my Prius has been acting funny since. The oil change itself took over an hour and a half, and no one there seemed to be in charge or proactive in communicating with customers. I just got another service from Jiffy Lube (well under the time and mileage the last one should have lasted) to find no oil on the dipstick, the oil drain plugs improperly fastened, the oil filter housing gasket put in entirely wrong, and an assortment of screws and nuts missing, to name a few of the issues caused by going to Emily's. There are a million cheap places to get a good enough oil change. Avoid Emily's. They made a lasting impact on my vehicle in a very bad way. read more

I had an Uber rental that was in need of brake pads and new rotors. The Uber rental place I got the car from sent me out with bad brakes. I almost got into a very serious accident. Hertz Uber rental where I got the car from was not helpful at all. They told me that it was my responsibility to check the car before I left the lot. How do I check brake pads and rotors? They were very unprofessional at the rental shop. I ended up taking the car to Emily's garage and they were super helpful. They were very empathetic to my issue because they new how dangerous it was for me to have the car in the first place. Mike and Noel were awesome and got me back on the road that same day. I have read some of the bad reviews and I didn't have this experience at all. I came in waited my turn in line, wasn't rude or demanding to get what I needed from them and they were nice back. I think that niceness and patients goes a long way when you need something from someone. I will definitely go back to them anytime I need basic car fixes. read more

Took my car here to address an issue with the vehicle starting and also addressing a vacuum leak. 1st, I'd like to say that I reached out to 10 different shops on yelp asking for quotes and potential issues with the car and Emily's Garage was literally the only one that gave me an answer other than "We'll charge you X amount for a diagnostic and you'll need to bring it in." I understand that but I gave you the code it was throwing and also the symptoms, I get that you'll want to diagnose deeper to make sure there isn't anything else or other issues compounding it but come on people. I digress. Emily's Garage was able to get me in for an appointment in a timely manner, at a reasonable price (VERY reasonable actually) and they fixed the issue in the same day. Not only did they NOT try to upsell me on junk, but they pointed out some other underlying problems that weren't critical and recommended when it might need to be done but that for now the car should work fine (and it does.) This place used to be my go to because they're usually friendly and oil changes are a decent price. This latest experience was the worst. As soon as I admitted I may not have funds to do much because of financial hardships things took a turn for the worst. My car was brought in because after driving a while it shakes and squeels. Sounds like my belt needs to be replaced but I'm no expert. They replaced the gasket and then had me leave it overnight because he said the coolant hose needed to be replaced but they had to order the part and the car couldn't be driven. So I asked if it would be done before starting work nearby. Didn't hear anything so called after 10am the next day and was told the part would be there by 10:30. Bad luck my microwave broke so I walked with my 2 year old there first hoping they were able to get it done to grab a $5 meal. Instead the girl at the computer was unwelcoming and got mad at me because she said she'd call. They were still waiting on the part. Came back about 25min before starting work and was told he found something else. Another piece that seemed unrelated to the problem. They were asked not to continue because I had no way to pay more. Paid $327 anyways, but was told my finances are not there problem and to never come back. read more
