Very clean facility. The cost is reasonable, and the staff is super helpful and available.

Staff is always friendly. I go in and out daily they never bother me. Space is cheap.

I am very impressed with this storage facility. The units, as well as the grounds are kept very clean and free of debris. It is a very easy location and not a hassle to get in at odd hours. (Perfect for me). It also offers enough privacy and drive up space for plenty of customers. The only thing I would really like to have on the premises would be a garbage can to unload junk we don't need, but ai do realize that this could cause a lot of unwanted dumping and other problems as well, so I would never expect this at a storage facility, but it would be nice!! read more

This is a FANTASTIC storage facility! Very secure, immaculate and amazing group to work with. Candy in the front office saved me from a potential disaster and held a storage unit open for me as I raced to the office with nothing else available in town. Storage units are hard to find in Reno lately. Luckily, came across Emigrant. 4 locations. From older storage units to RV Storage. We needed RV storage, and they are only 2 miles to my house. Hooray. For under 100 a month, we were happy to find this place. read more

I have been using this place for years. I haven't had a problem with my units but when it comes to the lady in the office I don't know where to start. She is a rude, careless and doesn't do anything to make you feel like a customer. I feel more like an object. She won't tell me her name which is extremely unprofessional. I usually come in the middle of the week and see her each time I am there. She doesnt acknowledge anyone who walkes through the door until something is said to her. She is rude to the guy who helps with baskets/forklifts and whatever else he does, that's just what I see him doing. I just don't enjoy coming to this place when I can always expect the same negative experience. I hope this gets fixed before you guys lose more buisness. read more

Ok, I admit- I should have known what I was getting myself into with a storage that was on the 2nd floor..but they did tell me that anytime we needed assistance getting stuff into or out of the storage a guy would come help us with a lift. However- it didn't quite work out that way...it seems that if the wind is blowing the guy can't use his lift so you are left carrying your stuff up or down a steep flight of stairs, and 'if' you happen to show up during his 90 minute lunch break..well you won't get help then either. I got sick of it and found a cheaper, 1st story unit near Stead for much less money. I called to notify Emigrant that I was moving out & asked if the monthly fee would be prorated, they said yes, but that my 'credit' on an $85 rental for 1/2 month would be $15 hmm...I would have thought 1/2 of $85 would be a bit more than $15, oh well I'm out of there now and won't be back read more

They helped us got us a unit on the second floor. Anyway, we moved in and a month or so later they contacted me and said my unit was unlocked and we needed to lock it back up with their special locks. I said go ahead and cut the lock and charge my acct since I live out of town. She then said i needed to fax them permission. When I did so she called back and said they do not accept faxes. I said well we will send the key. We sent the key and they said it was the wrong key. I then said go ahead and cut the lock. She kept changing the policy. She called me about a week later and said that if the lock isn't put on properly they are going to cut the lock at the end of the month and replace it. WHY COULDNT YOU JUST DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE WHEN I ASKED?! When we walked through I've seen units merely locked with zip ties. They only want to make your money. They don't know their own policies. Terrible service. You would think they cater to these situations since there are many college students renting from them. read more

Been here about a year. Awesome place. The 24 hour access was the biggest thing for me. Employees are really nice.

We rented a space for our new trailer at the Sparks location and when we went in on a Saturday around 11:45 a.m. we were treated like we were doing them a favor. They (Karen) said they told us when we called that they didn't do any new applications after 11:45 a.m. but they did NOT tell us that. She was so rude to us! We hated that we had to keep the space until we could get a spot at Vista Storage and we put our name in at Vista and they called us a month later to say they had a spot open. We have moved our trailer to there now and are so glad we don't have to give Emigrant Storage in Sparks our money anymore because they don't deserve our business! I had to give one star but that's only for the man who works there that showd our spot to us. We will never again rent from them and will tell everyone we know not to either. read more

MICE MICE MICE MICE I caught three mice with one sticky trap and several others after that. I tossed the traps outside to be picked up. I was asked by the maintenance guy if I had food in my unit. I understand the logic behind the question but come on, the intent is to point the finger at the tenant not the property, not like I was running a deli out of my unit. I see a Carol R responding as the manager. Well Carol R we will never use your units again. You can thank Barbara for that. How desperate do you need employees that you ignore the comments on how rude this lady is. You obviously don't care how we are treated, and having to walk through employees cigarette smoke to get into the office. Even while trying to track down a clinically depressed family member who was last headed to her storage unit, Barbara refused to let us know if she was there or left, citing company policy when a persons safety is at stake is pure laziness what is the purpose of requesting our access code on leaving if you don't know who left HMMM. Your gas station restrooms are always dirty, often without tissue paper and pump 6 hasn't spit out a receipt in 2 years. When I go inside for a receipt the Indian lady wont leave her seat at the far end of the counter until you ask for one-again poor service. I do like the automated car wash though- many years without a problem except the homeless going through the trash while trying to vacuum car, my wife won't come alone due to this. read more

Ok so I don't know what the person below is talking about cause I've been renting an upstairs unit at this place for over two years and I've never had a problem. They told us what the forklift hours of operation when we signed up. If I have something I need lifted upstairs they never refuse at least they haven't yet. And I just checked, there sign on the door says that their lunch break is from 12-1 so if I'm right that adds up to 60 min., not 90... And to me that's not unreasonable, if my work didn't give me a lunch break or even reduced it to 30 minutes I'd be furious! If I have a problem with a place I'm doing business whether it's a restaurant, walmart, whatever. I make sure to talk to the manager and if they can't help me I talk to their manager and when I have a complaint I do it calmly and collected while still being firm yet not disrespectful. Believe me any successful business will try harder to help someone who treats them with respect and like human being over a raving lunatic who walks through the door screaming and yelling about how terrible they're being treated and how they demand this, this, and this. My bet is that the lady who wrote the review below was the latter of the two. read more
