Keep in mind, it took me five years to finally make an appointment after a traumatizing laser hair removal experience that left me with coarse facial hair. It was incredibly painful and inconsistent and I was going to a credited and well-known spa in Chicago. It got so bad that I was at the point to where I had to shave daily for the past couple years and it was effecting my skin - causing ingrown hairs, discoloration, dryness, etc. And it also affected my confidence greatly. I emailed Blush on a Saturday and got a response pretty quickly from the owner Nina. We exchanged a few texts and scheduled my consult from there. She also booked me for an hour of electrolysis immediately after and it was the best decision. She talked me through my nerves and explained the process in details - no questions left unanswered. The pain was much more manageable than the gimmick of painless laser. There are always more sensitive areas than others, but overall, I'm able to lay for two hours without needing a break. I'll admit, the 5% Lidocaine helps a lot and so does Nina's gentle hand. I have now completed 10.5 hours and am almost done with a full pass over my face. The process can be long and tedious. It can make you feel anxious but let me just tell you how excited and hopeful it makes you feel. I can't wait to post my results a year from now and be proud and feel so beautiful again. And while masking I just laid under the infrared light while she sat behind me silently. Almost every facial I've had elsewhere I have received a hand or scalp massage while I masked.
