As guests at the event this was very upsetting to say the least... we were expecting to be met with a certain level of customer service. This lady obviously isn't capable of such. I would definitely prioritize retraining her. Although, our server Deborah went above and beyond to take care of us, and we had a wonderful experience with her alone! Deborah's the only person who gets 5 stars.

The old fashioned was decent and the meal was good and no driving. A win for the evening.

Suffice to say, I read almost all the reviews on here prior to sharing this experience (still…read morelooking for this restaurant on google, which is where I typically write all my reviews - good/bad). Let me start by saying that Jamie the server is exceptional at what he does and is 95% of the time doing it by himself. That being said, he gets my grace and he always aims to please his customers in my opinion, even if it takes him some time to accomplish it, and that I believe customers value generally. The food here was always good in my opinion, especially for where we were. When he is not around, I guess you could say "all hell breaks lose". There is a female that works here on the weekends and she is horrible, if that is any way to describe the most horrific restaurant experience one could have. While it is clear that most of these reviews are a few years back, mine is quite recent (March 2026). I give people the benefit of the doubt and it was my 2nd experience with her that did it. As I always say, when people show you who they are, believe them. She sucks and she does not belong in "any" environment that has customer service as their goal because she knows not what that is. When I walked up to the bar to place my order, 2 other females that I am familiar with were sitting there apparently waiting on her to serve them as well. She acknowledged me with an attitude after I nudged her (because I was standing there a while and was being ignored). And yes, she was very present on the cash register doing I don't know what, that could have been more important than serving waiting customers. Once enough time had passed, I exchanged words with the other ladies waiting, only to find out that they too had been sitting for a significant period of time waiting on her. Once I made it clear that there was no reason for me to wait 40 mins for a glass of wine while the server was present (because this particular evening, that's all I wanted), I walked away, and they did shortly after as well. A few minutes later, in reiterating my experience to another party, I was told that 4 other persons walked away from the restaurant a few hours earlier because of her. So in total, that day (it was a Saturday), this restaurant lost the business of at least 7 people (that we know of) because of 1 bad employee. As a business owner, that smells like defeat. I hope the owner sees this and gets rid of her. I am not one quick to see people lose their jobs for any reason, actually I am quick to beg an employer to let the employee keep their job, but not this time around. She belongs behind a closed door where she has zero contact with the outside world. Despicable. The reason I'm just now writing this if you're wondering, is because I just left a very popular busy restaurant and the service, ambiance and food were all top notch. So I came on here to write a god review for them, then I remembered this bad experience.

Alisha was our server and she was very attentive. Food was great, I got the "cheese pull" for appetizer. Mozzarella cheese sticks were amazing. Also fried crawfish was on the platter. Of course I had leftovers and of course I would love a to go flavored tea. The best! Hadn't been here in awhile but is close to work and a new favorite.

Father's Day dining can be a gamble, and this visit almost didn't happen…read more My 16-year-old son and I had just finished watching a movie in Humble and planned to celebrate with dinner at Pappas Seafood House. Unfortunately, the wait there was a whopping three hours for a table for two. Not wanting to call it quits, I phoned the next closest location off I-45 near Beltway 8 and was told the wait would be about an hour. Since it was only about 20 minutes away, we headed over. When we arrived, I immediately noticed the restaurant had been rebranded from Pappas Seafood House to Pappadeaux. Once inside, I was surprised when the hostess informed me the wait was actually closer to two hours. I explained that I'd just spoken with someone on the phone who quoted a much shorter wait time. Thankfully, another hostess, Ellen, stepped in and worked some magic, offering us an available table almost immediately. That completely changed the trajectory of our evening. I summoned the kiddo from the car, who was fully prepared for a long wait, and we were escorted to a comfortable booth tucked away in the back corner of the bar area. Lesli was our server, and she did a solid job despite the Father's Day crowd. We both ordered the Shrimp & Chicken Tenderloins platter--he went with the medium ($21.95) and I opted for the large ($28.95), both served with French fries. I also added a side of dirty rice ($5.95). The restaurant was packed, so the complimentary bread arrived at the same time as our meals, but that's easy to overlook on a busy holiday. What matters is that the food delivered exactly what we've come to expect from Pappadeaux. The shrimp was perfectly fried--crispy on the outside and tender inside. The chicken tenderloins were thick, juicy, and flavorful, not the dry, overcooked strips you get at lesser establishments. The dirty rice was a great addition and rounded out the meal nicely. We've never been disappointed by the shrimp and chicken at Pappadeaux, and this visit was no exception. Between Ellen rescuing our Father's Day dinner plans and another consistently delicious meal, this location earned another visit from us. We'll definitely be back.

My lunch guest got the crawfish hush puppies which weren't as great as the crudo- dry but came with an amazing gravy so definitely soak them up in that, but was lacking crawfish- had to search for them in each hush puppy- trust me, get the crudo. The catfish dish- wow- large serving I had to take home the leftovers. The crispy cornmeal was perfect, the sweet chili glaze wasn't spicy but more like a sweet and sour sauce which sounds odd with catfish but it works! So delicious. And that bed of mushroom risotto- creamy, and with plenty of mushroom pieces, no skimping there and we're not taking about teeny pieces and sparse mushroom in this risotto, good size pieces and plenty! Although it was lunch we also added dessert- the banana foster egg roll, crispy on the outside, great cinnamon flavor, a delicious buttery sauce, so you can pour on top as much to as you like and a soft, sweet, delicious banana filling. Perfect end to the meal on a sweet note. and then also had the black Aji tuna nachos so good lots of flavor some citrus to it. Mushroom risotto amazing. Service: impeccable.
