Food was amazing! Had the Ahi tuna on corn chowder and extra Red Neck Mac N Cheese. The self ordering was nice but was difficult to get help when they forgot our drinks and MacNCheese. Once I got someone's attention they quickly boxed up the forgotten side...she said I wouldn't regret waiting one more minute...she was right..the Mac was worth the wait. Once our drinks were made they were strong and delicious...overall really good. Now will connect in Houston more so that we can eat there again :) read more

Pros: chicken shawarma wrap is delicious for airport food and great selection of beer Cons: lack of customer service. I understand that airports will now be using iPads to have you order food and beverages but it is still sad that you can sit at a bar and still not be acknowledged by the employees. This place has an AWESOME selections beers and I really would have liked to have someone help me with a choice of an IPA or try one before I buy it but I could not get anyone to acknowledge me while sitting at the bar. I am in the food service industry and I feel that the employees should at least greet the customers or asked if they have any questions. This small human interaction would make this experience more enjoyable. That being said the beer I decided on was delicious (I've had it before but without anyone helping I chose to have one I knew I enjoyed) and the chicken shawarma wrap was great (with the added hot sauce I had to go up to the kitchen and ask for because the servers would not acknowledge me while I tried to nicely get their attention). I was a little skeptical about an airport steakhouse, but I was pleasantly surprised! To start with, they cook their steaks and burgers on a wood-fired grill. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. I was disappointed when the manager informed me that they were out of what I ordered, the ribs; however, he made up for it by offering me an appetizer. This place is a scam operation. We ordered coffee while waiting for a United flight to depart. After 45 minutes our order had not arrived when we had to board. I requested a refund of the Mileage Plus miles I used and United referred me to OTG MANAGEMENT, which apparently owns this place. I have made over 20 calls and am always promised a return call from management which never happens. This place was odd, I don't like the iPad system at all. Very impersonal. Our drinks took forever... we had our burger first. You also can't say things like sauce on the side, ranch, etc. we split a burger and had an adult beverage each and it was 60 bucks. I would skip it next time. I'll add to the one star parade. Airport venue and after asking status of my meal (wings and Mac and cheese), I was told "Orders usually take about 25 minutes. You're only at 21.5". Most Michelin Star places have appetizers out in half that time, and aren't in an airport where time is at a premium. They ran out of wine glasses and were serving merlot in water cups. A fresh order experience everywhere at the terminal. I was captured by those tablets on the tables on each gate. Then I realize they're mainly for order food from ember. It's really convenient and responsive that the order app constantly notice customer what the meal order status is. The waiter will send whatever you ordered to your table. Really wanted to like this place because of the friendly and attentive service, and the food was very tasty as far as airport food goes. BUT my side salad had GLASS in it. My husband says he also heard glass falling/breaking at the bar twice when we were sitting here. I just don't understand how this went overlooked. If glass falls, you chuck any food in sight - you stop service - you don't keep moving dishes out and hope for the best. Thank god I caught it before swallowing. To management's credit, they took the matter very seriously and picked up the check. My wife and son are traveling thru IAH, stopped by and tried to order food. They were turned away because of my son's severe food allergies, since they were unwilling to accommodate. He is allergic to a wide variety of stuff (Gluten, Dairy, Peas and Legumes mainly) and they had a burger that would have been easy for him to eat (all he does is eat the patty, no bun and no dairy). Their claim was that they were too busy to accommodate and clean off the grill. When you are the only sit down restaurant open (as part of Social Distancing) in the entire terminal, no duh you are going to be busy, but you should still be able to accommodate food allergies. Looked interesting so stopped in during a long layover. The concept is order it (and pay in advance) on the provided iPad yourself and they bring it to you. Well, the way it played out for us anyway was we ordered drinks then sat there waiting while a gaggle of sullen wait staff stood around gabbing. Finally, after I got up to inquire after a good 15 minutes (luckily we weren't in a hurry), they brought our sodas. Small glass of Coke for $3.75. Ridiculous. As we sat pondering the overpriced and underwhelming menu, I finished my soda. Wait staff repeatedly looked right at it and didn't offer a refill and I was done pleading. So I said forget it, we closed our tab and escaped to Pappadeaux, which was excellent with actually helpful wait staff. Too many good options at IAH to tolerate this place. read more

My food order arrived ice cold when it arrived after a 45 minute wait and that was after asking for our food numerous times. The waitress said she would refund the cost of the meal, still waiting 2 weeks later. To OTG management, why can you not provide a paper receipt? So I was here for just a quick breakfast and a bloodymary. I did not expect a fantastic meal but my drink does not taste right. My bloodymary tasted nothing but bitterness. However, this one star is not for the food but for the service and attitude I had received. As we all would do, I politely told the waitress my drink is very bitter and if they can fix that. Instead of double check with the bartender, she asked me how I wanted it to be fixed!? Well I am not the bartender so I don't know, I just want it to NOT taste bitter, like a regular bloodymary perharps? Less than a minute of taking it in, she came back and ask me if I know how bloody mary is made and telling me it is what it is unless I want something else. She already made me look stupid enough. As if I dont even know how my drink was supposed to taste like??? At that point I was really upset and told her to just remake it thinking if it is the same I am just gonna leave it. Fast forward to a short moment later, she came by to tell me there is other customer saying the same thing about the bloodymary so they no longer have it!!!??? Well obviously she did not take my word for anything or at least tryna taste a little bit to see for herself. Deceptive and false advertising. The photos on the iPads look nothing like the products you receive. We ordered a cocktail and it came in a thimble-sized glass for $15. I've had shots of tequila larger. I ordered and entree salad that was the size of the smallest appetizer salads I've ever seen. The photo of the Korean chicken sandwich looked like one large piece of fried chicken on the iPad. When the sand which came out it looked like a bunch of chewed up chicken pieces. The iPads are confusing as hell. We ordered 3 times and everything kept on canceling. The waiter didn't know how to use the iPads either. I come to IAH twice a month and will go out of my way to walk to Pappadeux or Cat Cora's. Those are some of the best airport restaurants in the country. This one is the worst. read more

This place is terrible. I ordered the Ruben sandwich, with a description that starts with "We layer pastrami ...". There was NO pastrami on the sandwich at all. Horrible experience, do not recommend this restaurant. Our party of 4 couldn't find a table together. Their tables are 2 person tables with 1, 2 or 3 tables set together so that if your party is larger, you can sit together. We approached a woman sitting alone at a group of 3 tables and asked if we could sit there as well (many other people were "sharing" tables. The waitress told us off and sent us to sit st the gross, dirty tables outside the restaurant. I would absolutely recommend finding another place to eat if you are at IAH. read more

Service was slow. I only ordered fries and they never received my order. The server insisted I did not enter it properly although he brought me my beverage I ordered and waited 15 minutes for. For these prices you would expect prompt service. Very disappointed and my points were not applied to my mileage membership. My flight was late the place was not busy and the manager made sure to not catch eye contact with me. I was trying to get his attention due to the fact you interact with a tablet more than the server so I had closed my tab and wanted to take the items I was waiting on off. That was about $30. Stopped here during extended layover. Ember burger was greasy but quite good. French fries were perfect (and I'm picky about fries). Green curry mussels were very good. Could use more bread and/or a spoon to taste the broth. Mussels were cooked perfectly, nice and tender. Korean fried chicken sandwich tasted good. The fried chicken pieces were of varying quality, with some kind of weird pieces. Appreciated the simple/modern ordering via iPads and the multitude of power outlets for charging our devices before our flight. The staff was very friendly and as attentive as necessary. I just had dinner here, my flight is really delayed. This looked like a good option, but my experience was really mixed. There were very few customers while I dined there. First, when you enter, it is unclear if someone will seat you, or if you seat yourself. A simple greeting and direction from anyone would have been helpful. Some staff just look at you when you enter. A simple acknowledgement would have been nice. But everyone working there just ignored me. The idea of ordering on an iPad was an interesting gimmick. Quite frankly I would prefer to interact with a waiter. A pleasant man came over as I was finishing my order and got my beverage. My food came out pretty quickly. It was delivered by a gentleman who could not have shown less interest in being there. The food was ok, especially for airport food. It was a bit overpriced, but the real shocker was a ribeye steak on the menu for $77!!! Now, had I been able to interact and order from a waiter I would have been able to order my burger without a bun as I prefer, and would have learned that by including a salad, that no fried were included. The burger was a bit overdone, I had ordered med rare. Anyway, after I received my food, I wanted ketchup. I kept looking around for a waiter. None to be found. The disinterested man who delivered my food saw me trying to catch anyone's attention, but just stood there watching me, but not moving from where he was leaning on a wall (remember, it wasn't busy.) I finally got up and approached the only waiter I saw, a young woman. I asked her for ketchup, she acknowledged my request, but went on to what she was doing. She was not going to help me. Finally, in frustration, I walked over to the cooks behind the counter and asked them for ketchup. They were able to have someone bring it to me. After all this, my waiter came by. I told him I had been searching for anyone to help me. He said he was resetting a table. NOTE: if you have customers to wait on or a "housekeeping" chore - take care of the customers you have first!! I can't believe there isn't a better way to serve customers at this place. I would have liked a refill of my club soda, and perhaps some coffee. I might have liked to order fries. As a former server and bartender this is my first review on yelp ever. This place is that bad. The model of this place is ridiculous. I am used to paying premium prices at an airport BUT here you select your order on an iPad and have to pay WITH gratuity BEFORE they serve you. For this reason, no one engages or gives you decent service, food is marginal, and menu on the iPad does not even match what is available which requires refunds and adjustments to your card. Food was of acceptable quality, but the service staff and management are an absolute disaster. 15+ minutes to get a glass of water, additional requests being completely ignored/forgotten, substitutes for dishes that have been 86'd are not swapped out in the POS system, meaning you are being overcharged for a cheaper dish they had to sub for the more expensive dish you actually ordered. Order prioritization and timing is also terrible and inconsistent. Lastly, when you've got an open kitchen, you probably don't want your kitchen staff bad mouthing the GM or the restaurant in full ear shot of clients sitting nearby. read more
