Worst experience. Waited 30 minutes for my food with being told it was going to come any minute a couple of times. Food never came and I had to catch my flight. Meanwhile everyone around me got their food. Such a waste of time! read more

Just an update as my last crappy experience here. Corporate did reach out to contact me then did not follow up. Beware of any location in the airport where all the ordering is done on a tablet. The disconnect between you and the staff lowers their execution and you may not receive your food, beverage, nor receipt. read more

Very disappointed, paid $40.00 for breakfast with 2 cups of watered down Coffee, and when I asked for a refill, the look I got was surprise (I guess they knew it was watered down and why would I ask for a 2nd cup), Cold Day in Hell, before I eat here again! read more

Wilted greens. Super salty Korean chicken sandwich sauce, needless to say bad food. Terrible service. Even worse Management - I took the time to provide feedback, was contacted by management who emailed me an apology with an offer to refund my meal, with proof of receipt. I replied saying that I never received my e-receipt, checked all my junk boxes and nothing. Crickets... All of these OTG restaurants are plain awful and incredibly overpriced. I am a frequent business traveler and go out of my way NOT to eat at the airport, even if it means buying food and bringing it in. Just not worth the calories and the money (even if I do get to expense it). read more

I don't get on here often. When I do it's either because I had amazing or terrible food. Unfortunately for my stomach, the reason for this review is the latter. If you are looking for just beer, this may be your spot as they have a good mix of both domestic and independent breweries on draft. Steer clear if you are hungry. You basically do all the work yourself ordering on an iPad for an overpriced burger that comes out medium rare instead of medium well. The machine also wants you to tip in advance which is a ridiculous concept in the first place but also exacerbated by the subpar service. If I could give negative stars here I would. read more

Not bad for airport food. First time using iPad to order. Went with the Ember burger and ordered medium rare - arrived medium. Tried the fries which weren't bad but didn't want fries. If there was an option to leave sides off I didn't see it. Good beer selection. Small side note - you get a real fork but plastic knife. The fork is not well balanced for holding while cutting things. Interesting concept to use United Miles to pay for your meal. read more

If I could leave leas than 1 star I would. I understand that all food is priced at a premium in an airport. With that, I paid $42 for a patty melt and a glass of wine. The patty melt was a sorry excuse for a sandwich. It consisted of a hamburger patty with melted cheese stuck in between 2 plain slices of white bread that were clearly toasted separately. The patty melt was supposed to include sautéed onions which unfortunately never made it onto my sandwich. When I asked the waitress where the onions were, she seemed very confused and said she was going to get the manager. I'm not sure why it was necessary to have the manager come out when the only issue was a standard component of my meal was missing. In any event, eventually the manager came out and said they would bring a side of sautéed onions for me, which i was appreciative for. However, that took another 15 minutes. As I had a plane to catch by the time the onions arrived I was finished with the sorry excuse of a sandwich and needed to leave. The French fries were bland and tasted old. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. You would be better served going to the Wendy's, Chinese or sandwich restaurants across the way. read more

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS JOKE OF AN ESTABLISHMENT. this was the worst food/drink experience I've ever had. The food options are limited as well as odd. Our drinks took forever and were not cold. Upon the delivery, I requested water, which was never served. When the waitress brought our drinks, she was on her phone on an obviously personal call. She held the phone with one hand and delivered food slowly with her other hand. The food was delivered after 45 minutes. It was a simple 'hot' sandwich and fries. I had to request a napkin and utensils. However, once I looked at the food, it was cold and literally looked as if it had been sitting for hours. I found the waitress and refused the food and requested my money back. Still waiting to see if our card is credited. I am not terribly picky. This is the first time I've ever decided not to eat at all rather than risk eating anything from such a poser of a food establishment. Stay away!!! I wish I could give zero stars but that is not an option. read more

Food was amazing! Had the Ahi tuna on corn chowder and extra Red Neck Mac N Cheese. The self ordering was nice but was difficult to get help when they forgot our drinks and MacNCheese. Once I got someone's attention they quickly boxed up the forgotten side...she said I wouldn't regret waiting one more minute...she was right..the Mac was worth the wait. Once our drinks were made they were strong and delicious...overall really good. Now will connect in Houston more so that we can eat there again :) read more

Best to avoid. Restaurant looks appealing but lacks service and food quality. Expect frustration, lack of service and food taking too long; at your table and the tables around you. Omelettes were overpriced in general due to airport cost but weren't worth it since they were dry and lacked flavor. read more

Pros: chicken shawarma wrap is delicious for airport food and great selection of beer Cons: lack of customer service. I understand that airports will now be using iPads to have you order food and beverages but it is still sad that you can sit at a bar and still not be acknowledged by the employees. This place has an AWESOME selections beers and I really would have liked to have someone help me with a choice of an IPA or try one before I buy it but I could not get anyone to acknowledge me while sitting at the bar. I am in the food service industry and I feel that the employees should at least greet the customers or asked if they have any questions. This small human interaction would make this experience more enjoyable. That being said the beer I decided on was delicious (I've had it before but without anyone helping I chose to have one I knew I enjoyed) and the chicken shawarma wrap was great (with the added hot sauce I had to go up to the kitchen and ask for because the servers would not acknowledge me while I tried to nicely get their attention). I would say try this place if your in Terminal C. Food is good, good selection of beers, just don't expect any human interaction. read more

I was a little skeptical about an airport steakhouse, but I was pleasantly surprised! To start with, they cook their steaks and burgers on a wood-fired grill. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. I was disappointed when the manager informed me that they were out of what I ordered, the ribs; however, he made up for it by offering me an appetizer. The filet was OUTSTANDING; I have had steaks at Morton's that weren't even this good! Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked, great quality of meat! read more

Davonna was fantastic! Attentive and kind. Best service We (family of four) have had in some time! Thank you to Davonna for making our re-entry to the US great! read more

This place was odd, I don't like the iPad system at all. Very impersonal. Our drinks took forever... we had our burger first. You also can't say things like sauce on the side, ranch, etc. we split a burger and had an adult beverage each and it was 60 bucks. I would skip it next time. It is not a concept I am a fan of. read more

There order system doesn't work well. I got my drink 10 mins after I finished my breakfast. Something seems wrong with that.

I'll add to the one star parade. Airport venue and after asking status of my meal (wings and Mac and cheese), I was told "Orders usually take about 25 minutes. You're only at 21.5". Most Michelin Star places have appetizers out in half that time, and aren't in an airport where time is at a premium. They ran out of wine glasses and were serving merlot in water cups. The iPad is useless if you have a data plan. There's just nothing redeeming about this place. Btw, I'm at 26 minutes now and still have no food. read more

Terrible. A scam. Double charged my card and never delivered food. Manager stated he would credit me back and never happened. Happened on 2 separate occasions now. This experiment in iPad ordering is terrible and needs to end. Endless upset customers and I've been scammed twice now. This business is robbing customers and United and IAH airport is complicit in my opinion. They don't respond to complaints or do anything about the problem. read more

A fresh order experience everywhere at the terminal. I was captured by those tablets on the tables on each gate. Then I realize they're mainly for order food from ember. It's really convenient and responsive that the order app constantly notice customer what the meal order status is. The waiter will send whatever you ordered to your table. I like that idea. read more

Wait staff is very friendly. However, this place is EXTREMELY overpriced and they don't carry ranch dressing. What place in TEXAS doesn't carry ranch dressing?! That should be a staple. read more

Really wanted to like this place because of the friendly and attentive service, and the food was very tasty as far as airport food goes. BUT my side salad had GLASS in it. My husband says he also heard glass falling/breaking at the bar twice when we were sitting here. I just don't understand how this went overlooked. If glass falls, you chuck any food in sight - you stop service - you don't keep moving dishes out and hope for the best. Thank god I caught it before swallowing. To management's credit, they took the matter very seriously and picked up the check. As much as I'd like to give them another chance, a food safety issue like that is just too scary in my opinion. read more

Looked interesting so stopped in during a long layover. The concept is order it (and pay in advance) on the provided iPad yourself and they bring it to you. Well, the way it played out for us anyway was we ordered drinks then sat there waiting while a gaggle of sullen wait staff stood around gabbing. Finally, after I got up to inquire after a good 15 minutes (luckily we weren't in a hurry), they brought our sodas. Small glass of Coke for $3.75. Ridiculous. As we sat pondering the overpriced and underwhelming menu, I finished my soda. Wait staff repeatedly looked right at it and didn't offer a refill and I was done pleading. So I said forget it, we closed our tab and escaped to Pappadeaux, which was excellent with actually helpful wait staff. Too many good options at IAH to tolerate this place. read more

My wife and son are traveling thru IAH, stopped by and tried to order food. They were turned away because of my son's severe food allergies, since they were unwilling to accommodate. He is allergic to a wide variety of stuff (Gluten, Dairy, Peas and Legumes mainly) and they had a burger that would have been easy for him to eat (all he does is eat the patty, no bun and no dairy). Their claim was that they were too busy to accommodate and clean off the grill. When you are the only sit down restaurant open (as part of Social Distancing) in the entire terminal, no duh you are going to be busy, but you should still be able to accommodate food allergies. In the future, any travels that has me going thru Houston, I will make sure that I WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY ON THEIR ESTABLISHMENT. read more

The food is delicious and the wait staff is very charming and really attentive. The location at terminal C is super convenient as well.

Avoid this restaurant and all the OTG restaurants at IAH at all costs. iPad ordering means the wait staff is totally disinterested in providing service. My food order arrived ice cold when it arrived after a 45 minute wait and that was after asking for our food numerous times. The waitress said she would refund the cost of the meal, still waiting 2 weeks later. To OTG management, why can you not provide a paper receipt? I have NEVER received a receipt so cannot get reimbursed for business travel expenses. The manager's response to the poor food and lack of a receipt was pathetic. Do not waste your time. read more

So I was here for just a quick breakfast and a bloodymary. I did not expect a fantastic meal but my drink does not taste right. My bloodymary tasted nothing but bitterness. However, this one star is not for the food but for the service and attitude I had received. As we all would do, I politely told the waitress my drink is very bitter and if they can fix that. Instead of double check with the bartender, she asked me how I wanted it to be fixed!? Well I am not the bartender so I don't know, I just want it to NOT taste bitter, like a regular bloodymary perharps? She continued to asked if I want less spicy, or more tomato sauce or this and that. I kept saying "just not bitter" until another guy joined her and said "more juice maybe" in a sarcastic tone. The waitress then laughed and said "Yeah like I don't even know how would she wants it to be..." while I was sitting right in front of them. Less than a minute of taking it in, she came back and ask me if I know how bloody mary is made and telling me it is what it is unless I want something else. She already made me look stupid enough. As if I dont even know how my drink was supposed to taste like??? At that point I was really upset and told her to just remake it thinking if it is the same I am just gonna leave it. Fast forward to a short moment later, she came by to tell me there is other customer saying the same thing about the bloodymary so they no longer have it!!!??? Well obviously she did not take my word for anything or at least tryna taste a little bit to see for herself. I looked and felt stupid the whole time sitting there so I did not care to order anything else. The manager then stopped by to tell me he has taken out my bloody mary and gave me a refund on it. However, none of them ever gave me an apologize. Just a very upset customer. Period! read more

Our wait people were excellent but the French fries were soaked with oil and the first mussels I got were cold. Elizabeth saw to it that I got hot mussels. My husband's catfish sandwich was good. The beer was cold and they have over 30 varieties. Carmen was also terrific. read more

Deceptive and false advertising. The photos on the iPads look nothing like the products you receive. We ordered a cocktail and it came in a thimble-sized glass for $15. I've had shots of tequila larger. I ordered and entree salad that was the size of the smallest appetizer salads I've ever seen. The photo of the Korean chicken sandwich looked like one large piece of fried chicken on the iPad. When the sand which came out it looked like a bunch of chewed up chicken pieces. The iPads are confusing as hell. We ordered 3 times and everything kept on canceling. The waiter didn't know how to use the iPads either. I come to IAH twice a month and will go out of my way to walk to Pappadeux or Cat Cora's. Those are some of the best airport restaurants in the country. This one is the worst. read more

Buns too big for the burgers. Lack of flavor in the bun. Jalapeños bitter and very salty. Grilled vegetables passable but could be a touch better when sautéed with a light salsa. Can be a good place but needs refinement even for a fast food place. I would think the basics like wings and hummus are ok. read more

This place is terrible. I ordered the Ruben sandwich, with a description that starts with "We layer pastrami ...". There was NO pastrami on the sandwich at all. The fries were ok, but the sandwich was basically just two slabs of thick bacon between a hogie roll. Who serves a Ruben sandwich on a hogie roll?!?! With bacon?? Sent it back ... now I'm waiting on a replacement sandwich. My spouse ordered a burger with Swiss. It came out with cheddar instead. We were so pressed for time that we didn't have time to complain. On the plus side though, the flies in the seating area seemed to like his burger. This ordering system with iPods seems like a good idea in concept, but in reality it doesn't work. This is nothing more than a corporate attempt to reduce costs by eliminating staff, while serving substandard food at above market prices, on the expectation that people will be too rushed to complain about it. STAY AWAY!! *** Update: my replacement sandwich - the shrimp po boy sandwich - was so salty that it was inedible. This place is a total disaster. *** Further update: As requested, I emailed the address provided in the comments section. To date -- months later -- I have yet to receive a response. read more

Food was good but everything else is a disaster. Horrible service and orders not getting trough. Make sure to follow up with your waiter two-three times to make sure your order was registered. Waited 15 min for a beer and 30 for a bottle a wine. Would still be here if not letting them know 3 times. Also make sure to check your bill as the system is not reliable and puts extra stuff on it. Jesus is top notch ! Service was great , he was the best. Ran me down after I left my luggage at the table ! Forever grateful

Horrible experience, do not recommend this restaurant. Our party of 4 couldn't find a table together. Their tables are 2 person tables with 1, 2 or 3 tables set together so that if your party is larger, you can sit together. We approached a woman sitting alone at a group of 3 tables and asked if we could sit there as well (many other people were "sharing" tables. The waitress told us off and sent us to sit st the gross, dirty tables outside the restaurant. I would absolutely recommend finding another place to eat if you are at IAH. read more

I just had dinner here, my flight is really delayed. This looked like a good option, but my experience was really mixed. There were very few customers while I dined there. First, when you enter, it is unclear if someone will seat you, or if you seat yourself. A simple greeting and direction from anyone would have been helpful. Some staff just look at you when you enter. A simple acknowledgement would have been nice. But everyone working there just ignored me. The idea of ordering on an iPad was an interesting gimmick. Quite frankly I would prefer to interact with a waiter. A pleasant man came over as I was finishing my order and got my beverage. My food came out pretty quickly. It was delivered by a gentleman who could not have shown less interest in being there. The food was ok, especially for airport food. It was a bit overpriced, but the real shocker was a ribeye steak on the menu for $77!!! Now, had I been able to interact and order from a waiter I would have been able to order my burger without a bun as I prefer, and would have learned that by including a salad, that no fried were included. The burger was a bit overdone, I had ordered med rare. Anyway, after I received my food, I wanted ketchup. I kept looking around for a waiter. None to be found. The disinterested man who delivered my food saw me trying to catch anyone's attention, but just stood there watching me, but not moving from where he was leaning on a wall (remember, it wasn't busy.) I finally got up and approached the only waiter I saw, a young woman. I asked her for ketchup, she acknowledged my request, but went on to what she was doing. She was not going to help me. Finally, in frustration, I walked over to the cooks behind the counter and asked them for ketchup. They were able to have someone bring it to me. After all this, my waiter came by. I told him I had been searching for anyone to help me. He said he was resetting a table. NOTE: if you have customers to wait on or a "housekeeping" chore - take care of the customers you have first!! I can't believe there isn't a better way to serve customers at this place. I would have liked a refill of my club soda, and perhaps some coffee. I might have liked to order fries. But the system doesn't really allow for this. Perhaps the concept needs some work. read more

Stopped here during extended layover. Ember burger was greasy but quite good. French fries were perfect (and I'm picky about fries). Green curry mussels were very good. Could use more bread and/or a spoon to taste the broth. Mussels were cooked perfectly, nice and tender. Korean fried chicken sandwich tasted good. The fried chicken pieces were of varying quality, with some kind of weird pieces. Appreciated the simple/modern ordering via iPads and the multitude of power outlets for charging our devices before our flight. The staff was very friendly and as attentive as necessary. The food came out pretty quickly. I will definitely come here again to try more from the menu (if I'm back in Houston). read more

The automation is a horrible idea. Still had the waiter come just as much as in a normal restaurant. App ux was clunky and had to get around the menu. Nice try but scrap the tablets and focus more on the food read more

Extremely slow service, more than 25 minutes for a simple burger, poor service. They should notify if the service will be slow bc of high traffic, that would be reasonable but nobody's around to help....didn't even get a glass of water after 25 min.... Very sad, just bc it is an airport doesn't mean the quality should be so poor read more

The food was good, but the service was exceptional. Hailey was our server, and we couldn't be more pleased.

The Good Idea Fairy strikes again. Automation and technology makes everything else in the world cheaper, except in Terminal C at IAH. The iPad menus would be an acceptable experience for something that's a step up from a vending machine, but not a restaurant that serves a $77 Tomahawk Ribeye. Irritating gimmick. Get to the airport 15 minutes earlier to factor in the walk to/fro Terminal B and the wonderful Pappadeaux! read more
