The technicians here are meticulous and nice. I haven't had someone give me such a meticulous pedicure in awhile. They spent a lot of time on me. The clientele here is on the higher end. Older folks and they tip well so that might be why the service is really good. I ended up walking in here Friday around 2pm and they were able to take me. A basic pedicure goes for $45. Showed a photo of what I wanted, they ensured me they could do it. When my nails are 95% of the way done, they tell me actually they can't. My nails were supposed to be cat eye with hearts, instead I have blobs going every which way. My pedicure didn't include half the stuff listed on the one I chose. The woman cut my toe wide open, it's still bleeding as I sit here waiting for my toes to dry. The gall of it all? They're still going to charge me for this. So I'll be paying for two sets of nails within 24 hours because I absolutely hate the way my fingernails turned out. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I went in for a simple upper lip wax, and the esthetician repeatedly pulled the wax off the same spot multiple times with excessive force. I told her to stop because it was hurting, but she ignored me and continued, leaving me with a painful burn on my face. When I went back the next day to show them the burn, the staff laughed instead of taking it seriously. Only after a couple of minutes did they offer me a refund, which I declined because it doesn't undo the pain, skin damage, or potential scarring. The complete lack of professionalism, concern, and accountability was unacceptable. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I've been here several times and they always do a great job with my shellac mani or pedi. I love the hot stone massage, and scrub they use! They do a nice massage with spa pedi. The chairs are the nice massage ones. The salon is pretty, clean, and a great location to walk from the mall or Bellevue Downtown Park. I've done walk-ins and appointments. First off, I am a super picky, OCD, detail oriented dentist. That being said, I would highly recommend Em Salon for anyone who is looking for the best of the best. Their nail artists are amazingly talented and creative and the salon has a tremendous selection of colors and types of nail treatments. Online booking is so fast and easy too. My nails were getting so thin and damaged after doing shellac for almost 10 years. They do hybrid gel treatments that do not require removing the entire base. I cannot tell you how healthy and strong my natural nails are now. Great parking nearby in the Safeway lot, extremely clean salon and everyone there is friendly and professional. Treat yourself. Worst place I've been at. Rude, started things without asking first. She tapped the table repeatedly instead of just asking where to place my hand and she cut my finger with the machine. There are spots where the gel is still on. Never coming back. I understand they have appointments but I called beforehand and when I walked in, they said 15 minute wait. It was far more than that. The whole removal and process was quick. They just throw you out. Just put some oil on. Not even carefully, they just dumped it on and then told me to wash my hands and pay. Horrible. read more

I had pedicure appointment during weekday and place seemed to be very busy. I like huge selection of colors and it was nicely organized (compare to other places that I went). Place looks clean, nice massage chairs is a plus. However my pedicure was mediocre, when it was fresh it looked ok however nails weren't cut straight and when nails start growing I saw that nail polish actually was on my skin. I used to travel from Seattle to Bellevue to get my nails done here. Great selection and service and the spa itself is very clean and hygienic. They have a loyalty card too and after 6 visits you get a paraffin wax treatment free. The only reason I am cutting one star is the first time I called and told them I was going to purchase a Groupon and asked for an appointment. They told me not to purchase the Groupon and that they would honor the Groupon price. When I got there they played dumb and then agreed to give me a 10% discount. This bait and switch a slightly bad taste in my mouth. That being said, the superior quality of service has made me a loyal customer. read more

Then...I saw she had a bunch of cool gel and dip colors. But as soon as I say the Cat Eye, galaxy colorway....it's all I wanted. I had 2 broken nails which meant figuring out a nail shape that would hide how short 2 right hand nails were. She went with oval, and my nails were so immaculate, they looked fake. Anyways. Such a cute place that's clean and great with appointments. I usually get a hybrid gel set with a design. Don did my set and was super quick, helping to pick out some colors and added suggestions too. He was great with checking in at each step of the process. I've also had Annie do some design on my nails before and she's been wonderful as well. The girl at the front desk is also always super nice and helpful with booking, pricing and color selection. Front desk was exceptional. It was extremely busy and I am glad I made an appointment. The minute I got assigned a nail technician I felt so pressured and rushed to pick a nail color. My nail technician every 5 seconds asked me if I picked a color. So I rushed and grabbed whatever color I could see. I went with the delux spa $45 and was surprised my whole treatment was less than 30min? The wax paraffin was placed on my feet for less than a minutes and that's a little unusual compared to other spas. Massage was also very short. Not sure if there was a rush to get through the clients or what. It just wasn't a relaxing experience and felt very rushed and processed. I got my eyebrows done here and my eyebrows are perfect. I think her name was Jenny and she did an amazing job and was SO friendly compared to my nail technician. It was my first time here and I liked the salon and the cleanliness. Jennie does a phenomenal job any time I've come in with pictures, requests, or asked her to fix a broken nail. My most recent visit I had a more complicated design requested, and Jennie was SO meticulous. She took her time and really made sure it looked great. They went through 3 different people and had to erase one toe FIVE times and look at the end result... then they flat out charged me $140. Price wasn't the problem, an apology would've been fine, but Kim barely looked at the art I wanted and not a single apology or an offer for a refund or even a partial refund. Workers talked amongst each other when I said I wasn't satisfied because honestly.. who would be happy after that kind of result.. Place has downgraded a lot since the past, won't be recommending this place to anyone from now. Edit: please stop lying in your reply.
