Drew was referred to me by the dealer, Super Circuits, as a Bay Area installer, and largely based…read moreon the reviews from this site, I decided to give him our business - for the first, and last time. Positives: when he actually did show up, he performed the installation thoroughly and made manual adjustments to all our exterior cameras until we had the desired field of view on each one. He also did a professional job neatly tacking all the camera cabling to the house. Camera system works very well, and he's a pleasant young guy - BUT... Negatives: 1. He no-showed us on the first appt.and it took multiple calls/emails/txts to reach him for a resked date. When he finally returned our call, he said the equipment hadn't arrived yet, but, apparently, didn't feel it was necessary to let us know that we didn't need to wait for him all morning. 2. One of the reasons we picked the system we did was because it came with a smartphone monitoring app that allows the homeowner to see what the cameras are seeing from any remote location with internet connectivity. While we can see what the cameras see when we're IN the house using the app, it does not connect to the DVR anywhere beyond wi-fi range of our house. I called him on FOUR times over the subsequent 6 weeks about this issue, and not only did he NOT return our calls, he did not offer a fix of any kind. The app, as it is, is completely useless to us. 3. Part of the deterrent value of any security system is the signage that lets people know that such a system is in use. He forgot the signs on the install date, and despite multiple attempts to request that he send them to us (as he'd promised to do before he left), he never returned our calls and we've never received any signs. 4. He billed our c/c before the work was completed. Bottom line: We did NOT get what we paid for. Drew is a competent, if unprofessional, technician that, as some other reviewers have commented, is spread too thin to do his work AND run a business. While I would certainly recommend the Alibi camera system to anyone, I would NOT and will not recommend General Pro Security to anyone.

The second time, the same tech came out to do some electrical work. He installed some exterior outlets and added some conduit to an area that was out of code. I recently decided to upgrade my security system since technology has come a long way in 10 years…read more California Security Cameras did the upgrade for me and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. A quality security system is truly invaluable when you consider the peace of mind it brings, and this is a company you can absolutely trust. The process began with excellent communication from the office before any work was even scheduled; they provided quotes in a timely manner that were easy to understand and fit perfectly within my budget. What impressed me most was that they use only quality equipment, and Israel took the time to review both what I needed and what I didn't need, which was equally important to me. Israel and his team can be counted on to show up right on schedule and complete the work in a timely manner. The installation itself is top-quality, with a lot of care going into strategic placement to ensure total coverage. Before any work started, Israel walked through the property with me and openly listened to my needs before deciding on the final camera placements. Additionally, they are respectful of your home and animals while working. they take care to close gates and doors when coming in and out which was important to me. Once the installation was complete, he tested the entire system, ensured all cameras were adjusted properly, and then personally went over how to use the system. I'm the type of person who asks a lot of questions about projects before, during, and after, and Israel and his team made sure that I fully understood everything before wrapping things up. If you are looking for a professional, reliable security team, I highly recommend California Security Cameras!
