Had a lovely experience at Elvira's! The food was delish! We ordered the chicken and waffles, pancakes, French toast, and berry crepe. All were on point! Service was also great. It was speedy and the wait staff was kind. At the end we were greeted by Elvira herself, who was super sweet to our family and told us about her own family. Overall we were very pleased with the experience and would definitely return. read more

Makes sense why there was a 30 minute wait.....the food was amazing!!!! Great hometown feel and Christmas music in the background and great service and welcoming staff read more

We stopped here for lunch before going to Harper Brothers Mountain chair lift next door and had lunch. Their specialty seems to be breakfast, but we had lunch. I had the chicken salad sandwich and homemade potato chips. The chicken salad was good. It had cranberries, nuts and just the right amount of onion served with lettuce and tomato on bread. Also included a pickle spear. Very tasty! I will definitely have it again next trip. My wife had the special burger of the day which was called the Boss Burger. It was disappointing that they did not have all of the ingredients for the burger of the day. It was supposed to have had a bacon jam and they were out of it! That was the main reason for ordering it to give it a try. Very disappointing that they would offer a special of the day and not have all of its ingredients. The burger was not a quality meat and tasted processed and frozen. However, I must say that the manager stopped by and apologized and offered a replacement item. She had the salad which was fresh greens and had plenty of add on to choose to add to the salad. The vinaigrette dressing was very good. I would have liked to have tried one of their pies, but we were too full to have a piece (although it is very hard to say no to coconut cream pie!) The lady making pies uses her grandmothers recipes and are reported to be very good! The staff and waitresses are very friendly. I probably would have given 5 stars if they had the burger as promised, and if it was fresh ground burger and not frozen. Still good enough for a return trip to try it again another day! If you keep your receipt, you get a discount in your return trip! read more

You will not be disappointed! The staff was amazing and the food was just fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this cafe for anyone who is looking for breakfast or lunch. Super clean as well with some cute souvenirs that you can take back home with ya. read more

I really wish that I could give this restaurant 10 Stars. We had a party of 8. We had a reservation at 10:30 and we were promptly seated. The food is AMAZING. We were sampling off each other's plates. The service was amazing as well. We will definitely be back. read more

Wonderful & friendly service. Good was prompt & delicious. Was a little busy but we still got a table right away

We really wanted to love this place, but we just didn't. I got the spinach and feta crepe. It's like half a quesadilla on this big plate with no sides or anything. It was cold and cooked weird. Instead of scrambling the eggs, feta and spinach together, it was just layered and it didn't mesh well. It was very bland. My husband hated his pancakes and said the hash brown casserole tasted off. My two older kids liked the Nutella banana crepe. My littlest was mad the chocolate chips were not cooked in his pancake but rather scattered on top of a to cold to melt them pancake. Service was ok. The waitresses were more interested in their conversation with each other than the customers. We had to ask for our glass of water twice. The restaurant itself has a cool mountain vibe and has plenty of potential just definitely not worth the $70 we paid. I doubt we'll be back. read more

We ate breakfast on Friday and went back for dinner on Saturday. It is great. Everything we had was delicious. The chicken in waffles was magnificent. The waffle was one of the best I have ever eaten. The fried chicken was delightful. All the meals were great. We are going back again Tuesday before we leave. read more

Excellent experience. Food was wonderful. Got the Tennessee Haystack, so good. Kids highly enjoyed the pancakes. Worth the short trip to venture to off the main strip. Don't miss the General Store next door. Bought many beautiful things there. read more

People need to know the information regarding COVID-19 safety measures on this page are INCORRECT as of March 5th. I picked up a to go order and was shocked to see no masks being worn by any wait staff or kitchen staff in the business. There was a hand sanitizer station with a note describing how your safety is your responsibility & it's your freedom to choose. I stopped after that line because I was ashamed I had spent $80 there for food for my family to support a business that isn't even trying to protect people willing to support them financially. read more

The perfect lunch spot on your way to The Foothills Parkway! We came here on a Sunday afternoon around 12:30 and like we expected, there was about a 30 minute wait. It wasn't a problem at all, because they had a BEAUTIFUL seating area outside complete with heat lamps to ward off the slight chill that was in the air. Maggie the dog was also there to keep us company. Once we got inside, we had Jennifer, our wonderful waitress that took care of us, and was so attentive and sweet! The smoked gouda chicken club was the best meal I had my entire trip. That chicken breast was cooked to absolute perfection and the bacon jam that came with it was the icing on the cake. Husband played it safe with the turkey burger but the rate that he inhaled it was a sure sign of how good that was too! The surprise of the day was the fact they did Crepes!! The S'mores crepe was absolutely divine. Gooey on the inside with tons of chocolate and graham crackers, it was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal! read more

I don't want to recommend Elvira's because I would like to keep it my little secret. We came in on Tuesday for lunch and I probably had the best turkey sandwich I have ever had. I split my meal with my wife, she had the grown up grilled cheese, another fine choice. We definitely will be coming back probably for every meal! Lol. The wait staff was awesome and the place was spotless. read more

Best breakfast we've had on vacation. Get a biscuit and the Mountain Man omelette! You won't regret it.

Amazing! Cannot say enough about this hidden gem. Everything homemade, super friendly staff, great portions, great price, and a pet friendly deck. Only wish we had found it on our first day and not our last. Mike & Donna read more

You know a truly home town place that's all about good food and family when they wish you a happy new year and then close up shop unil March! I love the kinda vibe. This is our first trip back into the Wears Valley valley. Nice back here with lots of arts crafts and history. We passed Elvira's earlier in the week and decided to stop in for brunch. Glad we did otherwise would have to wait til March for this kind of great food and warm hospitality. Kitchens right up front so you can see it all put together. Nice. Girls had the cinnamon roll each. My wife had the fried green tomatoe BLT. Jacks had the Ruben and I customized the country ham plate adding hashbown potatoes. Yummy. Perfect stop on our just before the new year arts and crafts adventure. This is a place we'll visit again soon! You should too! read more

Meh, just wasn't that great. Service wasn't great, food was overpriced and ordinary. I got a burger, wife got a salad, definitely both were average at best. Definitely seemed overpriced for simple things. Much happier with other places in the area. read more

Another one of the hidden gems. Make the drive out to Wears Valley. It will be well worth it to eat at Elvira's. Very friendly staff and great food. We had our dog with us also, and they welcomed her as well. Even providing us a large tub of water for her. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the countryside view. My wife and I, both had the "Grown Up Grilled Cheese" lunch. It was very good. This was our first time eating here, but this stop will now become one of our "must go to", on our trips to the Smokys. And we will be trying other items they have. read more

I dream about chicken & waffles ALL YEAR. Belgian waffles are SOOOOO good and I would love to figure out how they do the chicken. Service is always friendly. It is nice to come in and see them making a delicious, home cooked breakfast. Elvira's is a great place to eat. The cabin I am staying in has Elvira's Cafe as a recommended place to eat. And I see why. I can never fully finish everything, and it's even better the next day read more

We ate there twice this weekend! The food was scrumptious! I had the chicken parmigiana and grilled chicken on the second night. The staff are super friendly! Will definitely go back on my next visit to Pigeon Forge! read more

The grounds and interior are beautiful and you feel like you walked into a hallmark set. The service was super charming and speedy. I didn't give it as many stars because the food wasn't my favorite. I had their famous chicken & sugar glazed waffles. The waffles were incredibly sweet and the crispy batter just fell off the chicken. The coffee was pretty good though! read more

Sometimes all you need to say is: Best breakfast ever. A must see. A must stop. A destination for sure.

We are staying in Gatlinburg and drove 40 minutes to eat breakfast here. It was Great!! Staff very friendly and the food was amazing. We would eat here again. read more

Hidden gem. Beautiful and pretty quite location. Almost half an hour from pigeon forge. Indoor and outdoor options available. Of course we chose outdoor seating. Seating areas are quite spacious. Pleasant ambience. Good food. We were their for lunch time so tried Rueben and Chicken Salad sandwiches. Both were good. We got fries and salad as side dish. Fries were fresh and crispy. Salad was okay. We had better salad in past few days within Pigeon forge/Gatlinburg area. For desert we tried homemade coconut pie. It was really nice. Would love to visit again. read more

Another better option than driving into Pigeon Forge if you are staying in this area! It's busy but they serve a decent meal. My kids had the crepes and loved them. I had the fried green tomato BLT and it was fine but there were other options I'd try if I were to go back. The chicken club was good according to my husband. They were out of chips as we stopped closer to the end of their day but plenty of other side options to choose from. There is outside seating and even a couple of picnic tables in an expansive yard if you want to stop and plan out the rest of your day while you have some wifi to do it with! read more

Great food and service! The atmosphere is very quaint. They treat guests as though they're family.

Vacation in the smokies is always fun! We mostly love all of the great nature settings and the wild life. The one thing that usually comes up short for us while in the region is the food. We do not drink alcohol so the bar/restaurants have not appeal to us. This rules out your sports bar type eateries too. Plenty of good breakfast options in the area but we have failed (until now) to find a nice family friendly, moderately priced stop. My wife just pulled in and said "Let's try Elviras"! Not a long wait at all especially considering it was 4th of July weekend. Checking out what a lot of folks were ordering and the Chicken and Waffles seemed to be going well, especially with the fried potatoes as the side. So, that is exactly what we both ordered and combined with Sweet Teas! Nothing say's dinner in the south like this combo! It was a great choice! I put a little hot sauce on my chicken and then poured on the maple syrup! It was yummo! Go ahead and order a second helping of the potatoes. You will be glad you did! We both agreed it was a good value for the $. Staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend and we will come back on our next trip to Wears Valley! read more

Absolutely amazing food! I hadn't had a breakfast like that in a long time! Their eggs were incredible and I recommend getting the white American cheese on top. The hash brown casserole was so yummy! If you're in the Wears Valley area this is a great spot to eat. They do have limited hours so check before you go. We got there about 11:30, we waited about 10 minutes for a table. I had the ribeye wrap and she had the cheeseburger. Everything was fresh and hot. Service was excellent. When the checkout lady saw my USAA card she asked if I had been military and gave me a discount. Wasn't expecting it, didn't ask for it. But it was a nice touch. Will definitely be coming back! read more

Staple must have in Wears Valley. Everything on the menu is fresh and tasty. Good prices and great atmosphere for breakfast lunch or dinner

The one bald cook was rude about serving people before 9 when the owner made our reservation at 830.

Drove half an hour over the mountains just to be offered a table by the restrooms/service area? While having an infant in the party? Not up to the standards. Food quality is not bad but you would expect better. Please improve the hot cocoa recipe, way too watery. Service is poor read more

Cute place and delicious food! We found this spot on the last day of our stay at a cabin in the Smokey Mountains and we wish would have found it sooner. We came at 10:30 and breakfast is done at 11 so we came just in time. We didn't have to wait and sat inside because it was cold and rainy but they do have outside seating. We had the TN haystack. It was so yummy! Light biscuits, eggs and bacon cooked perfectly, ham and delicious sausage gravy. The perfect southern breakfast!!! Clean and good service. Bonus....there is a really great store to check out next door. read more
