The manager check on us several times. French onion soup was hot with a ton of peppery flavoring and plenty of cheese and onions. I thought the soup was a tad too salty. My husband had a hamburger with all the fixings. His burger came with chips. He loved the burger. My brother had a Rueben with a Bavarian style sauerkraut and potato salad. This is the cutest little spot. We walked in and my daughter said this has been her favorite spot during our trip. Owner was one of the nicest people. Food was absolutely amazing. The pancakes are the thickest I've ever seen. When I say thick that doesn't mean that they are super dense but they are SO light and fluffy. This is a small place, only 5 or 6 tables. The morning we went, 3 adults 2 kids. The kids enjoyed buckets of crayons and coloring pages, the funny animals and fails on the TV and were happy with their food. They enjoyed getting their picture taken with their masterpieces and getting a prize bag with treats and a bracelet. The owner/ chef was having fun in the kitchen and was very nice to the costumers, coming and checking every table once he'd made the food. They had some Christian music playing in the background, not too loud. The food was fine. They were out of a few items and the sign that says Today's Specials apparently were not available today. Food is served with margarine, not butter. If you order water they give you plastic cups and you fill them up yourself in the soda machine. Menu is very limited, but as I said, food was fine.
