    Farmers Omlete

I'm usually very happy with Elmer's but disappointed this time. Farmers omelet had little or no cheese, hard to eat because it "fell apart" and I had to stab the small pieces with the fork to eat- very dry. Mom was unhappy with the gravy on her biscuits. The service was great as usually, very accommodating and fast. Wasn't a deal breaker, we will be back but not for a while. Avoid the dishes with gravy! Restaurant was clean too.

This is a close to home cooking here. The service here was great and old soul type of feel to it

Decent food. Friendly servers, clean space. Nice to see restaurants busy again. Despite it seeming crowded, we were seated quickly. The menu is huge, plenty of typical American breakfast food. I'm guessing the variety probably slows the kitchen down but it's nice for groups who have people with very different breakfast / brunch cravings. I had a breakfast with hash browns, two over-easy eggs, and bacon. I can't say it was outstanding but also no real complaints. Volume was on the louder side. The hash browns are a thicker cut, almost like home fries, and just a hint on the undercooked side. The cheese was mixed in rather than melted over the top like most places do (I prefer the melted over the top method for maximum cheesiness). Eggs were right, bacon was crispy per my request. Coffee was very strong and very dark - not a great flavor but it keeps the caffeine headache at bay. Overall this is a nice place for breakfast if you aren't looking for something fancy and just want to sit down and have comfort food.

Loved this place. First time ever I have been to an Elmer's. And it did not disappoint. I got there special that was listed on the table. Divine!!! It took me back to the classic German crepes my dad had made me. I can see why this place is popular. And I would love to go again!

My order was half ranch breakfast with one egg, extra crispy hash brown, crispy bacon with biscuit. Everything was done as I asked. Biscuit was ok, on dry side. The other order was avocado egg Benedict with side of pancake. She enjoyed her food. Service was good.

    Waiter

The food was abysmal. The waiter had really long fingernails that weren't completely clean (see picture). Everyone working there seemed miserable. The inside of my rueben was cold. The bathroom was filthy. So disappointed, Elmer's was one of my favorite restaurants growing up and this was my first trip back in over 30 yrs. Sad.

Lots of mature patrons. ie. not young. Wife ordered the Denver omelette, I did the ribeye steak breakfast. Steak is marked as market price. At this time it means $29.95. Food came out pretty quickly. Sadly we had some problems. The ribeye cut is pretty thin. First time out came out raw in the middle, the refire cooked it too much. Quite a bit of fat on the cut. Not a huge fan and wouldn't order it again. Hash browns were not super warm, over easy eggs were fine. They offer two sizes of omelette, wife was going to get the full and take some home. Didn't specify and server didn't ask. Ended up getting the half omelette, evidently. OK. Don't really cook the veggies much and they were pretty crunchy. Again hash browns just warm. With tip meal was north of $55. Servers were friendly and accommodating Not sure we will return. Bummer

It's a nice family atmosphere here. I just felt welcome the min I came in. The simple decoration with messages written on a black board gave the place a homely feel. The friendly welcome I got from all the staff and the food. The menu made me think with I wanted. And the portions made me regret what I ordered. Not really I regretted I didn't have a bigger stomach. ;) There was no way I could finish my food in one setting. I got good old biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. I feel I got a potful of sausage and gravy instead of a ladleful. I couldn't find my biscuits for a few seconds. I also got a side order of sausage. Yea it was too much. Overall five stars. Great tasting stick to your bones meal. Even when it's reheated. The service was on the spot. She worked hard and kept smiling the whole time. And for the price well, well, WELL worth it.

They put so much care into everything. Listen- always get the salad here. They're always delicious and contain surprises. This time we got marinated rhubarb, which is in season, and which I'm excited to make and put in my own spring salads at home. Also, edible flowers, and while we ate lunch, we saw a worker picking them from the little garden. The sandwich was a shrimp roll, which was great, maybe with homemade bread? It was perfect. The sandwich was zesty, with a remoulade and little pickled jalapeños. And what were those crunchy things on top? Crushed barbecue potato chips! A delightful detail most restaurants wouldn't bother with. And the soft serve sundaes, which are also full of artistry and interesting textures! You have to get one. I'm a pretty good cook, and it takes a lot to blow me away. Sugarpine blows me away.

Wrap was pretty tough and I ended up just eating insides. Chicken was wonderfully seasoned and tender. Pretty onion heavy for me. Easy to pick off. Would try pulled pork next time. I got the Pendleton burger, it was as good as I remember, I got tons of fries along with it which was great. It was around 16 dollars, but it's a 2 dollar up charge for fries......yes, they charge you extra for fries....at a burger place...they default to potato chips (cheaper for them). I don't care what your "reasoning" is, charging extra for fries at a burger place is pathetic. In terms of service, can't comment too much since I got takeout, but the women there seemed nice and the place was fairly clean, I couldn't make out any dirty areas. They have a few tables outside, on a nice summer day it would be a nice place for lunch. Parking. There's no real parking for this areas since it's in busy street, so you'll have to park a block or two away most of the time, but it's not a big deal. Overall it's a good place and if I happen to find myself in the area, wanting a burger, I don't see why I wouldn't go there again.
