Recreational activities right on the grounds, swimming, fire pits, grilling, water craft, life jackets, & shuffle board 5.) Recreational activities inside the lodge, TV, books, games, pool table, fuze ball & air hockey 6.) Kitchen, laundry & baths semi stocked for ease of living 7.) Large enough for big groups Just like the best campground ever ...but stepped up a notch because there is a pine paneled big woods rustic cozy cabin to stay in! For the slopes, they had so many lines for all different level of skiing. They had multiple sides to the mountain and even had a bar at the top that offered alcohol, snacks, non-alcoholic drinks and even chili and hot dogs. I am at a beginner level and the green lines were still a tad more difficult, but everyone going down looks out for everyone. I was very impressed with the ski patrol as a fell quite a few times and they were there to check on me. The area itself was very clean and again, everything is easily walkable. I noticed an outdoor playground for the kiddos when it's warmer out to play on. The food options here are good. Almost everywhere was a bit crowded, but we were able to wait for our food and then take it back to the Airbnb. I was very impressed with this place on every level. I will be coming back and staying longer next time.

Our room was clean and we loved the beautiful views of the water. Prefect spot for a little get away. We read outside on the beach chairs, you could tell they cleaned outside the daily. We didn't get in the inside or outside pool and hot tubes but they looked great. They serve breakfast in the morning but unfortunately I was too tired to get up to check it out but they always had water and coffee available and cookies.

Before our arrival, I asked about the possibility of an early check-in and was told to simply "call when you are in town." However, when we did call upon arriving in town, the lady at the desk completely changed her tune. She told us she couldn't even discuss preregistration, bag drops, or using the property amenities until after 12:30 PM. The lack of consistency and helpfulness made for a very frustrating start to our trip. If a hotel has rigid timeline restrictions, the staff should communicate them clearly upfront rather than giving guests the runaround.

Why is it called the Spring Lighthouse. We arrived later than expected, probably interrupting the Innkeepers Dinner. Darci greeted us warmly and we chatted for a couple of minutes before making our way up to our room. I was instantly impressed by the charms of this well appointed, wondrous home. Next it was outside to check out the grounds. The sky was overcast but it did not diminish the property's beauty in the least. Time for Breakfast, I mean, it is half the name. We were greeted by Innkeepers Darci & Tom. They are such an incredible couple. The type of people you'd hope to meet on vacation, and then spend some quality time with. Warm, friendly, and so very comfortable to be around. Even if they couldn't cook I would have had a great start to my day. But shortly we were blown away by a delicious Blueberry Stuffed French Toast. I realized we were experiencing the very best of both worlds. I have stayed in some of the top-rated B&B's in the north east quadrant of our country and have never felt so fortunate to be sharing a home. Honestly, six nights was not nearly enough. About the name, "Spring" is very appropriate. The property is so mentally renewing. It, along with Tom & Darci, help create a positive frame of mind. Angst and worries melt into comfort and relaxation. A Reiki massage for the mind. Lighthouse? I'd say two words Light-Home. "Light" (natural agent that stimulates sight & makes things visible). "Home" (the place we feel most comfortable, loved & protected - where we most feel at Home). We can't wait to return. There's no place like Home, even if ... technically, it's not really yours.

The moment we walked through the door Tom made us feel at home. My husband came here as part of our "minimoon" in Michigan and our two days will stay without forever.  We were surprised with a gift basket from the owner and a gift from Tom & Darci. Everything about our experience was beyond comfortable. The view overlooking the lake is indescribable. Please get up early and watch the sunrise and make sure to catch the sunset. Once the sun goes down, being able to sit outside by the fire table with a mug of tea and/or hot chocolate.   The B&B is located close to the little downtown, and it is easy to take a stroll into down and go to a local restaurant while taking in the view of the lake. Lastly, the breakfast sets the mood for a great day. We absolutely plan to stay here again in the future.

I think there are 3 singles, a duplex and a triplex. I was in Cabin 2 which has 2 double beds, a TV, bathroom, mini-fridge and microwave all in like 250 sq feet (this is a complete guesstimate). There is also a picnic table in the front of each cabin. Cedar Ridge has a tiny cabin game room with various board games, foosball table and various outdoor sporting goods. There is a fire pit (you can buy a bundle of wood for like 5-10 bucks), a badminton net, horseshoe pit and 2 frisbee golf nets. The only drawback is the cabins are closer to the highway than I'd like. You can hear the trucks zoom by while you sit outside by the picnic table. The prices are very reasonable though and I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were amazing and the grounds were wonderful to walk around, but above that, the service was fantastic. Before I left, I felt like I had become a close friend. Alice, who runs the place was so wonderful and the breakfast she made was the best I have had. In addition, her son Charles was one of the most interesting people I have met. Charles manages the property and takes care of the grounds, Bee Hives, Chickens, etc. Each place you looked there was something interesting; from the apple trees to the flowers all the way down to the rocks who were decorated by some very talented grandchildren. I not only highly recommend this B&B, I plan to go back every year to have our sales meeting.

We were welcomed to LNP by the couple who own the small lodge. We stayed on the second floor of the guest house, with a deck looking out onto the water. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a calming, woodsy decor, and a lot of thought put into the details. The owners had left us a couple sodas in the fridge, and lots of nice soaps and stuff in the bathroom. They invited us to canoe on the lake, but I really wanted a nap after the drive in from Chicago, and my girlfriend found the hundreds of channels on TV. We filled out a menu card, and breakfast was brought up to our room in the morning. It was a really treat, and for guests like us who would rather eat a private breakfast, the best accommodation a B&B could make. The location was super close to Traverse City and the National Park, but also set off plenty, on back roads. Interlochen reminded me of the north woods of Wisconsin, and is home to a major NPR station. The stay at Lake N' Pines Lodge really put me at ease.

Since we wouldn't be getting in until close to midnight, we pre-arranged our check-in and had a cute welcome letter and breakfast card waiting at our arrival. This was our first B&B experience and it was the little touches that will have us coming back. There were complimentary bottles of water and soda in the fridge. The kitchen had several amenities such as: pots, pans, utensils, and even spices. So if you wanted to, you could prepare all your meals on site. We were here for a wedding, so we did not utilize this feature, but worth noting. Room service was complimentary every morning and the options for breakfast were expansive and delicious. I had the blueberry pancakes the first morning and eggs, bagel, and sweet potatoes the next. Both were served with Coffee and OJ and seriously good! The room itself was the perfect size for two people, but had a hideaway bed, that could sleep two additional people. The decor was what you would expect of a northern Michigan fish town, log furniture and a touch of kitsch. Outside, we had our own mini-deck, table and chairs.There was a decent sized flatscreen in our room with over 100 channels a DVD player. We just channel surfed in between our trip excursions, but they even had a new selection of movies in the main house that could be borrowed. The location is what really cemented our appreciation for this place. It is far enough off the beaten trail that nature overtakes the sound of motorists. There is an on-sight dock with complimentary boats, kayaks, and canoes that can be taken out. It is absolutely beautiful. Here you are halfway between Benzonia and Traverse City, which we found particular ideal. My only gripe was that the bedding and towels were both musty upon arrival. I am sure that our hosts would have taken care of it right away had we said something, but we were exhausted and it wasn't worth the hassle. This aside, it was still a great and hospitable place to stay. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
