She texted me ahead of time with details on how to check in, and was there waiting for us when we arrived. The rooms were all very nice and cozy. Definitely got the BnB vibes! Plus there were nice amenities, like a fridge for us to store leftovers, beer and wine, cookies every night, chocolates in bowls, and a wonderful breakfast at 9am. Location was prime -- easy to get to the water or drive into Traverse City. Consider staying here next time you're in town! We definitely will.

Eric and Misty are friendly, knowledgeable and accessible hosts. The food they made was delicious and is chef-quality. They did their best to accommodate our dietary restrictions. All of these factors helped make our stay an amazing experience, as well as their advice on where to go and what to see in the area. The Inn itself is a large converted farmhouse on an organic cherry farm just north of Traverse City. it does sit next to a highway so there was some significant road noise at times. However it is still an idyllic peaceful property with many places to sit and contemplate nature.

The bathroom was quite large and had a two person jacuzzi tub. It was the perfect relaxing experience after a day of wine tastings. When the owner mentioned it, I was very disappointed, but once we were there, I was so happy with the opportunity. With any B&B, you're staying in the main house, having idle chit chat with other guests, and sometimes hear people in other rooms. The cabin, you have none of this, just perfect tranquility, silence, and isolation. The owners stocked up the fridge for us and we can have breakfast in our own cabin. It was more of a continental breakfast, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, granola, etc..., but it was so pleasant. The cabin is located about 500 feet from the main house and several miles from the main road, and about 8 miles from downtown Traverse City. You really get in the woods feeling without being to far from the city and you have a river flowing through your backyard. It is a really nice place and I would gladly stay there again.

It is a lovely log cabin with a great living room with a television that you are allowed to watch Netflix on and a kitchen, which is mostly used for cooking breakfast. It also has a hot tub, that you can use at your leisure. The best part about the bed and breakfast is the beach with its patio, deck, fire pit, kayaks and canoe that you can use. We stayed in the master suite, which was huge with a huge bathroom that had a claw-foot tub and double headed shower. It was pretty cool. The other rooms appeared to have a separate bathroom from the room, but I did not pry too much to find out if this was true. One thing I did notice was that you could hear people in the neighboring rooms, because the windows were open. There is no air conditioning, but because it is on the water the room stayed nice and cool and air conditioning seemed unnecessary. Ted and Marie, the proprietors, were great hosts. They made a very simple, but lovely breakfast of Grand Traverse Pie Co. Quiche, yogurt, fruit, and freshly made muffins with orange juice and great coffee to drink. At breakfast on Saturday, we had a nice chat with the owners and some other guests. They also gave us some pie for dessert! The hosts really impressed me on the last night of our stay. We were on the beach deck drinking a glass of wine and enjoying the beauty of the bay, when Ted came down with some wood for the fire and helped us build a fire, then left us to enjoy it. He also had said that the paddles for the canoes and kayaks were broken, so he bought new ones while we were staying there and we were able to go for a really great early morning canoe trip prior to check-out time on our last day of our stay. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is traveling as a couple or alone.

When we arrived we saw a family hanging out in a kitchen through the window, we knocked and were greeted by a friendly bark, and we were looking into a living room behind the check-in door. We were welcome. Not a staff... A family. Not an office... A home. Our room was small and cozy. Both the room and bathroom were very clean (really clean). It was just right for a windblown, road weary twosome. With taxes and everything the bill was only $86! Everything else in the area was upwards of $300. It was quite a relief for a penny-pinching, working momma. We will without a doubt stay here again if we visit the Frankfort/Manistee area again.
