Sticky Toffee Pudding

Another visit to Little Traverse Inn today was better than ever. Great service. Beautiful sunny day eating on the front patio under the shade of a tree. And Graeme's amazing food. My party today had the Lamb Vindaloo (better than any Indian restaurant), Shepherds Pie and Toad in the Hole. All are recommended. To top it off we had the Sticky Toffee Pudding which is one of our favorite desserts. Little Traverse's was among the best we've had. We ordered the custard on the side - but we should not have been doubters. The custard was a nice addition to the dessert. We will of course be back.

LTI was a refreshing surprise along M22 north of Port Oneida. I'd passed it by for years, and ended up going to dinner on a double date. We ate outside with cafe lights and a live music duo. They had a decent wine list for a small business, and the food options were diverse, and included special local favorites such as perch. We all enjoyed the brie appetizer very much, and left happy. Parking lot is gravel and off the road.

Incredible, unique menu choices made with skill and love. All ages enjoy the variety. The staff runs between the patio and kitchen with grace and purpose, telling us it's their pleasure! The view and setting are one of a kind. Graeme, the owner, is out and about greeting patrons and sharing in the joy of the live music he thoughtfully provides. Honestly, we owe a debt of deep gratitude to Leelanau Country Inn. The experience there is unforgettably beautiful.

Burrito & Gravy

Driving along M-22 a few Sundays ago, we were desperate to find a place to have breakfast and a good cup of coffee. We drove by this place and immediately put the brakes on and turned around. So glad we did. Upon entering, we were seated right away (but I would suggest you make reservations as I think we just lucked out in getting a table). We were inside as it was too cold to eat outside in late October. The room we were in appeared to be the living room of the B&B before Covid hit. Waitress staff was very friendly and the facility was clean. The menu looked fantastic. I chose the Burrito & Gravy and D had the Michigan Harvest French Toast. When the waitress brought our plates out I nearly gulped with the size. The Burrito & Gravy was so delicious. Crispy potatoes, pickled peppers, black beans, white cheddar cheese wrapped in a tortilla and then smothered with chorizo sausage gravy. The French Toast was amazing (D & I shared both of our meals). It was made with Bay bread, local eggs & cream, and warm apple butter. Topped with honey crisp apples & roasted walnuts, and Michigan pure maple syrup. I love unexpected treats when traveling!

A hidden gem in Norther Michigan When you see a tuba as part of the band at a restaurant near Glen Arbor MI, you need to stop. We drove by on the way to the beach and had to stop and make a reservation for later that evening when we saw the tuba. While disappointed that we didn't get to hear the tuba (probably the early bird entertainment) the food and atmosphere did not disappoint. We were seated at 7:30 in at very picturesque lawn in front of the Inn (see multiple pictures). After ordering drinks we were served salads (included) with home made dressing ahead of the main course. Everything was great from the perch to steak frites to the Indian inspired Bryiani with chicken tikka. We took our time enjoying the excess famous fries and just taking in the expansive lawn. Another solid meal in Northern Michigan. The Little Traverse Inn Gastro Pub certainly exceeded our expectations. 4.5 stars rounded down to 4 stars

Made reservations to sit outside and enjoy some drinks and live music. It was a perfect day and the outdoor area was well shaded. Table was waiting for us when we arrived and we were seated immediately. Drinks were very tasty and we decided to order dinner. Wife has salmon salad I had the lake perch. Food came out in a timely fashion and was very good. Wife raved about her fish the entire meal. My fish was excellent as well. 3 drinks and 2 entrees were $75. We left extremely happy. Recommended.

Broomstack Kitchen & Taphouse - Burger with bacon and truffle fries, divine!!!!

Came for dinner last night after hearing rave reviews from friends in the area. The burgers were…read moredelicious, but that is where the positives end. The service was painfully slow; the young woman waiting on our table was stretched way too thin. It took about 15 min to order drinks and another 15 before they came. We ordered fries to share and burgers, subbing side salads since it sounded delish. Fries came out lightning fast but the portion was TINY for $10 - we had to flag down our waitress to order a second round of drinks (which she didn't even stop to ask if we wanted the same or not, just sprinted away and put them in); when she returned with this round we ordered more fries (accepting we would end up paying $30 for fries...absurd). Burgers came out; as mentioned before these were delish -6oz is a great size and bun was quality. Side salad portion was pathetic. About 6 lettuce pieces with a few toppings sprinkled on. After finishing, we again flagged down the waitress as she blew past and asked for the check. We got the bill and were appalled. For the drinks (vodka with a splash of cranberry; tequila with soda and a splash of lemonade; scotch on the rocks; all served in small cocktail glasses) not only were we charged for the alcohol - but also the mixers as if they were full sized glasses of cranberry and lemonade instead of a 1oz or less splash. Even more ridiculous was being charged for ICE (yes, you read correctly - ICE) in the scotch. Round that out with side salads being priced $1.50 over what was listed on the menu and we concluded we will never be back nor recommend.

Excellent burgers! We enjoy a Peanut Butter Burger and a Wolverine ( hate to type that, OH-) Burger…read moreand a few pints of M43 after a nice afternoon spent bike riding. Awesome awesome.

The great - the atmosphere was great and the booth we sat on surprisingly comfy. Two had the chicken tender basket 4/5 for one and 5/5 for the other. The perch basket ranked high as well. One had the meatloaf 'sandwich' which arrived more like an open faced hot sandwich. It looked great and got a good review from the friend who had it. The chili was flat out outstanding! Flavorful and just the right amount of spice. Our great server had me taste it right away to make sure the temperature was hot enough. There was a nice variety of draft beer as well. The disappointing - the Bloody Mary. It was a visual masterpiece as you can tell by the attached pictures. The good - both sliders and the fries pickles. The rim was salted with what I describe as fresh everything bagel seasoning and it was really flavorful. The not so good- The onion rings needed more time in the frier as the breading was not very crispy. The bad - the Bloody Mary. Lots of vodka and spice but there wasn't much tomato flavor. I have to say I've never left a Bloody Mary unconsumed until today but I maybe had three sips and it was just bad. Hind site I perhaps should have asked for more tomato juice to add to the drink. As it was I enjoyed the company of friends, great atmosphere and my sliders. We would return again.
