We absolutely love this place! Pleasant, friendly service, great food in a beautiful location. No one leaves here hungry, and the leftovers are to be looked forward to (generous portions). Always feel welcome here. We try to bring friends here as often as we can. Only downside so far... live music can be a little loud so we are sure to get the furthest table away from the stage area. Another visit to Little Traverse Inn today was better than ever. Great service. Beautiful sunny day eating on the front patio under the shade of a tree. And Graeme's amazing food. My party today had the Lamb Vindaloo (better than any Indian restaurant), Shepherds Pie and Toad in the Hole. All are recommended. To top it off we had the Sticky Toffee Pudding which is one of our favorite desserts. Little Traverse's was among the best we've had. We ordered the custard on the side - but we should not have been doubters. The custard was a nice addition to the dessert. We will of course be back. read more

This has always been our "go to" place when we've had guests. I love the Indian cuisine, and my husband loves the British. And the prime rib has always been great! And so we assumed that the seafood dishes would be just as tasty. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. A salmon lover, my husband paid an extra $11 or $12 to have a piece placed ontop of his cranberry walnut salad. It was overcooked and dry! And my baked walleye - a special of the day and accompanied by shoestring thin, overcooked asparagus and mushy rice - was bland and tasteless. We complained to the waitress, who offered to bring us something else, but we declined. The restaurant was quite busy by then, and we didn't want to have to wait for another plate. So we ate what was palatable, and left the rest. Needless to say, this $67 meal was quite disappointing. It will be a long time before we return to the Little Traverse Inn again. And we definitely will NOT be ordering fish again. read more

LTI was a refreshing surprise along M22 north of Port Oneida. I'd passed it by for years, and ended up going to dinner on a double date. We ate outside with cafe lights and a live music duo. They had a decent wine list for a small business, and the food options were diverse, and included special local favorites such as perch. We all enjoyed the brie appetizer very much, and left happy. Driving along M-22 a few Sundays ago, we were desperate to find a place to have breakfast and a good cup of coffee. We drove by this place and immediately put the brakes on and turned around. So glad we did. Upon entering, we were seated right away (but I would suggest you make reservations as I think we just lucked out in getting a table). We were inside as it was too cold to eat outside in late October. The room we were in appeared to be the living room of the B&B before Covid hit. Waitress staff was very friendly and the facility was clean. The menu looked fantastic. I chose the Burrito & Gravy and D had the Michigan Harvest French Toast. When the waitress brought our plates out I nearly gulped with the size. The Burrito & Gravy was so delicious. Crispy potatoes, pickled peppers, black beans, white cheddar cheese wrapped in a tortilla and then smothered with chorizo sausage gravy. The French Toast was amazing (D & I shared both of our meals). It was made with Bay bread, local eggs & cream, and warm apple butter. Topped with honey crisp apples & roasted walnuts, and Michigan pure maple syrup. A hidden gem in Norther Michigan When you see a tuba as part of the band at a restaurant near Glen Arbor MI, you need to stop. We drove by on the way to the beach and had to stop and make a reservation for later that evening when we saw the tuba. While disappointed that we didn't get to hear the tuba (probably the early bird entertainment) the food and atmosphere did not disappoint. We were seated at 7:30 in at very picturesque lawn in front of the Inn (see multiple pictures). After ordering drinks we were served salads (included) with home made dressing ahead of the main course. Everything was great from the perch to steak frites to the Indian inspired Bryiani with chicken tikka. We took our time enjoying the excess famous fries and just taking in the expansive lawn. Another solid meal in Northern Michigan. The Little Traverse Inn Gastro Pub certainly exceeded our expectations. 4.5 stars rounded down to 4 stars read more

Excellent menu and outdoor experience. We recently enjoyed dinner there (two couples). I had the shepherds pie. Delish. We will return. One comment, a server was wearing a politically themed t-shirt. I don't mind these types of t-shirts out in public...but not when I am a paying guest. If the owner is trying to create an inclusive ambiance for its diners, then wearing political messages should be re-considered. read more

An honest review of the food follows; In the words of many chefs " why use a brioche bun ( which is greasy) on a hamburger?" a Kaiser roll soaks in the natural burger juices where a brioche roll just adds another layer of grease - served with the greasy " famous" fries (which are thin, don't hold up to the deep fryer and frankly taste like a Sysco product) and you definitely get a grease overload. It's time for chefs to get back to burger basics and not try to overcomplicate the classic American burger...the meat was fine and perfectly cooked. The additions should be on top of and not stuffed in the burger and really a fried egg on top of something doesn't make it fancy. I don't mean to be harsh or overly picky; just honest, at tourist prices this meal was just ok. Go for the great location, wide range of beverages and friendly service! read more

Table was waiting for us when we arrived and we were seated immediately. Drinks were very tasty and we decided to order dinner. Wife has salmon salad I had the lake perch. Food came out in a timely fashion and was very good. Wife raved about her fish the entire meal. My fish was excellent as well. 3 drinks and 2 entrees were $75. We left extremely happy. Great food, great drinks, great service, unique and wonderful atmosphere. So delighted to find this gem in October when so many places aren't open. A very reasonable drive from Glen Arbor for a much needed change from the standard fried fish, burgers and French fries that are available everywhere else. The menu offers many options for people that don't eat meat and desire flavors other than salt and pepper. The Salmon Bridie was wonderful, the Fish Pie was good but a little heavy on the mashed potatoes and light on the fish. The desserts were wonderful - cardamom made the Cobbler pop and you can't beat an authentic sticky toffee pudding. And delicious authentic cask ale to finish it off- I only wish we had found this place sooner! I see many visits to this delightful pub in our future, and will watch for the live music nights. I got to have the full experience here...stayed at the inn two nights and had drinks one night, two breakfasts, and dinner the last evening. Everything was great and it was one of my favorite "hotel" experiences. So this is a bed and breakfast about 30 minutes from Traverse City. It was conveniently located for hiking at Sleeping Bear Dunes. Accommodations were simple yet comfortable. No TV or fridge in the room...just a comfortable place to sleep and shower. Breakfast was phenomenal both days. Cinnamon french toast one day with orange syrup and a veggie omelet with a raspberry cream cheese pastry the next. Drinks outside under the trees and lights were great...I had a prosecco rosé that was delicious. For dinner we had chicken tikka masala and the perch basket. Both were pretty tasty, but almost paled in comparison to breakfast. I would definitely make a point of staying here again...Graeme and Michelle were such hospitable hosts...lovely people to talk to and make you feel so welcome. :) read more

Our group got an AirBNB up the road, we were playing board games for several hours when we became famished and require sustenance from the local gastro pub. We look around and scamper over reserving a fantastic little shanty, we could tell it had been sanitized very well. As soon as we walked in we were greeted but the friendliest and most charismatic gentleman working at the bar. We were seated quickly and served by the wonderful superstar Genevieve who was the most accommodating. We all ordered a variety of dishes from the crispy yet juicy chicken to the bountiful harvest of fish and chips. The soup of the day was immaculate and after seeing the reviews about salad it's clear some people don't know what a wedge salad is. It was delicious. My family and I ate here twice this summer and both experiences were unenjoyable. The first time we waited for our food for an hour and our server was very slow (she was new at this point so we cut her some slack) but I fully had to get up and find my own ketchup after asking and waiting for 5 minutes as well as get up and find her for our bill. The second time we had the same server and the service was even worse. It took her forever to accomplish requests and the food took probably an hour and a half (2 of our soups and salads never came). I ordered a plain cheeseburger and specified "only bun, patty, and cheese". When it finally came there was spicy mayo on the bottom bun and patty as well as lettuce and bbq sauce all over it. I asked if it could be remade and the kitchen said no because it would take two hours. The only reason I give this place any stars is because the outdoor area is beautiful and the food we did receive was pretty good. read more

A very good restaurant in the heart of the leelanau peninsula. The beef Wellington was phenomenal and the whitefish was extremely good one time, but kind of fishy the next time. In general it was very nice change from all the other restaurants in the area. They also have a very nice selection of wines, beers, and harder drinks. read more

We stayed here for a couple nights not long ago as an alternative to looking for an Airbnb. Also we'd talked to someone who loved their stay so we wanted to visit it. We were very pleased with the friendly and helpful care we received. A very comfortable home, it's located in the woods off M22, a quick drive to Glen Arbor. It's a large place with a pub style bar and a roomy restaurant that includes many outdoor tables. It has a very comfy feel, and they feature live music a few nights a week. They do get a good crowd for dinner, but the rooms are quiet. All the rooms are on the second floor and I'm not sure that there is an elevator. Our room had a very comfortable queen bed and the bathroom was roomy (they do have larger rooms). This is a residence so there is no frig or TV in your room, but there is a TV in the large lobby. And you do get a personal breakfast, & we loved what Graeme fixed for us both mornings. He and his wife are a delight and seem to love serving their guests. We talked to another couple there who has stayed several times, so it is popular. read more
