A table for two always seems to be available when we arrive, and the menu is filled with such delicious options that it doesn't really matter what we order. The cocktails are mixed to perfection and the busy dining room is never too loud for us to have our own conversations at our table. party of 9 people with a reservation. my 9o yr. old mom taking the whole family out . 4 people order fish ,3 walleye sandwiches and one fish and chips. first plate came of fish and it looked very dark. key factor for that is old grease that had not been changed followed up with 3 waleye sandwiches that were also dark brown one that was mine tasted like rancid old greese took the box home as not to embarress my mom. i did not have the heart to ruin my moms dinner but very dissapointed. this was on a monday maybe all weekend they were deep frying i dont know but absoutley terrible. yuk read more

Food was good and reasonably priced. I had a large salad with grilled chicken and balsamic dressing, which seemed to be homemade. My husband had a stuffed burger which was juicy. The homemade chips were amazing and he wished he had a larger portion of those. Service was pretty slow and unenthusiastic. It took a while to get our orders taken; so when the food took a while to get to the table, it was pretty irritating. Some things were missed and we had to request multiple times. I saw other servers zipping around being attentive, so maybe it was an off day for ours. read more

A great time to go have a nice, fine dining dinner on a golf course. Service is great and food is top notch.

Ordered a pizza and a salad to go. The pizza is about 9" and looks and smells like something you'd get in the frozen food section with an exorbitant amount of cheese on it. To begin with, the pepperoni is underneath the cheese which is obviously the cheapest mozzarella that can possibly be purchased, with sauce that tastes like condensed tomato soup and crust that is worse than the "Jiffy-Pizza mix" you can buy at the grocery store for 69 cents. The salad sat underneath the heat lamp, until the pizza came up and had dressing on it instead of on the side, which getting it "to go"it should be implied not to put dressing on it. I immediately left and headed to Little Caesar's (not kidding) for a "Hot N' Ready" with breadsticks, which ended up being the same price as just the pizza and tastes better.. DISAPPOINTED read more

Food is good but service is not always that great or friendly. Not a bad place to stop and grab a bit if you don't mind waiting.

Great little place! We sat on the patio, and it was beautiful. The server was great with our four kiddos.

My family and I have been to mulligans multiple times and our experiences have been great. This particular visit we learned that the owner was cooking in the kitchen. We learned of this after complaining about our food. We ordered a hamburger well done and it came out medium rare. We ordered the grilled salmon dinner and the grill marks were so heavy that the fish taste burnt and it was very overcooked. We also ordered the chicken wings extra crispy which is usually perfect. This time they came out looking deep golden brown/black and when you tried to eat one the chicken itself was dry. We returned the chicken and asked for a new order. The chicken wings came back literally three minutes later looking the same except glistening from hot oil. We barely ate them. The only thing that was truly good that night was the pickle and ham eggroll for the appetizer. The service was great but unfortunately the servers had to except the fact that their owner was cooking at night and was overwhelmed I'm assuming or just couldn't cook. We will definitely be back in the hopes that the owner isn't cooking in the kitchen. read more

We were going to the movies, but were too late to go to Front Street and then back to the Cherry Blossom Cinema, so we yelped Mulligans. It was perfect! Not too fancy, good food, waitress was fantastic (took our order right away, hurried because we told her we were going to the movies, got my husband the drink he likes made the right way, didn't ask us a zillion times "How is everything?" And brought our bill in a timely manner). The decor and setting were very pleasant...Yay!! read more

We were just here for diner and the service from Collen was great. The meatloaf was fabulous can't wait to come in and have it again. On another note our visit for lunch on the 13th was not good at all the food was great but the service from Jackie was terrible don't know if what the problem was but won't be in for lunch anytime soon if Jackie is going to be the one serving. Wow. I didn't realize we had such a gem practically in our neighborhood!!! We were looking for a Friday night fish fry and ended up each ordering a "basket". It was so good and obviously "homemade". Coleslaw is always one of our measuring sticks for restaurants and it is great at Mulligans. The sampler during happy hour looked so enticing we had to try it. We especially adored the yummy deep fried dill pickles. Everything was good to great and our waitress topped the experience by the best service have ever received in our area. Went with a group for an early dinner and someone suggested Mulligan's. We were split into two groups as they don't allow tables to be repositioned (not a problem). Started off with some mixed drinks, beer and sodas at out table and ordered some appetizers with our meals. We came in the middle of a shift change and, while the restaurant was relatively empty (~4;00p), we waited more than a reasonable amount of time for our food. For starters, our table ordered Buffalo wings and spinach and artichoke dip. The dip was generous and tasty but the wings fell far short of expectations as it was Luke-warm (temperature) and very dry; obviously frozen, not freshly made. For their entree, one person ordered Caesar salad with chicken but the kitchen forgot to add the Parmesan cheese. The waitress quickly retuned with the cheese. I ordered the perch basket and was a little disappointed that there were only three small filets. At the menu price of only $13.00, maybe I should have known but perhaps Mulligan's should reconsider portion size adding one more filet to the basket (of course fairly compensating with a higher pricing). I'd rather pay a little more and be satisfied than leaving the restaurant wanting. Overall we were disappointed with the service and the kitchen but given these times I can forgive the table service somewhat. I still tipped +20% but I may not be so generous the next time. read more

First time here. I had the best stuffed burger I have ever had! My husband had the cod dinner. He is very picky about his fish, and he said it was very good. The happy hour specials are pretty great too!! read more

I have to say, I've grown up in the area, play the Crown bi weekly in summer, and never realized Mulligans was a full time restaurant. I always just thought of it as a place to grab a pop and burger if I forgot to eat before hitting the course. Recently moved from the East shore of the lake to the West, so now its in my back yard. I have to say, their wonderful! This and a well known steak house (Nicks the best) are our go too's now. Wonderful sandwiches, their pizza's are surprisingly good, unique items without being over the top. Everything is always freshly made, even on nights this winter when clearly we were only one of a handful of people who made the trek up there. And very family friendly. The staff, and customers, are always very very nice to my 4 yr old who can be a bit social and feel a need to say hello to everyone. If this same restaurant was on Front Street, it would be a 2hr wait in the summer. Probably shouldn't give it away to the tourists, but they deserve to know a hidden gem I guess. read more

We choose this place once a week, generally. Never have to wait for a seat! Great selection of stuffed burgers! Ask for the pretzel roll (for an upcharge). Daily specials. Try the homemade Reuben or Southwest egg roll appetizer! The only drawback is only four draft beers. Including: Bud Light, Miller Lite, Labatt's Blue, and one seasonal beer. I find the Bud Light and Miller Lite to be redundant, and a waste of at least one tap! read more

Yesterday we started out with Spinach Artichoke dip. It was good, I would order this again. For the entree I ordered the 8oz Prime Rib, baked potato and broccoli. I always get my beef medium rare and this cut was definitely medium. The prime rib had good flavor but it wasn't as tender as it could be. I'm not sure if it was the roast or the cooking that left it a little tougher than it should be. My wife had the Mushroom Ravioli. The ravioli itself was not up to her usual standard, but the Alfredo sauce was light and not the usual heavy thick sauce. Our service was excellent. Waitress was attentive and food came out quickly. We will definitely try this place again. I would have given them 4 stars if the prime rib was served correctly and was more tender. read more

Was absolutely glad we found this place on our first trip to Traverse City. Our first visit was perfect, food was wonderful, the atmosphere was wonderful and our server, Sam was outstanding! We arrived back in Traverse this week for the holiday, and were looking forward to returning to have the same experience. However, upon our arrival we were told that one of the main reasons for us coming to Mulligans was no longer there! As we sat down pondering what we were just told, I had to get to the bottom of it!( against my husband's wishes) What I was told was not what I was expecting to hear in the least bit. I have a whole new out look on this establishment now. Giving false hope, and picking and choosing employees is over other employees is jyst wrong, and we will never be back! Have always loved Mulligan's but our experience most recently was disappointing. Friday night and the place was very busy. Placed our order and then waited, waited and waited while people who were seated after us were getting their food. Finally had to ask our server where our food was, she said she had put it into the computer wrong but it was coming soon. She never offered a free appetizer and didn't even offer the information about the delay until we asked. Food was so so. Will think twice about returning. read more

Into our new territory of eating and we came here looking for a Good fish fry Friday. The fish fry options were good ... the stuffed burgers were better. Not sure what the "no baked potatoes" available were about, WTH! So, I bypassed the fish options because I didn't want fries and ordered the soup of the day, clam chowder - which was wonderful ... and found the potato in there! Love the place but can't get good attitude at the bar (where I always sit) Gal always has to leave to go clean a gym or has an excuse to get out of there or tired-- hurrying up us customers. I am beyond disappointed. My husband and I went to Mulligan's tonight for a light dinner and a few drinks. We consider Mulligan's our neighborhood bar, and we get there every few weeks, but, before tonight, we had never been treated this way. Our waitress who was also the bartender greeted us but barely acknowledged my presence. Then, after taking our drink orders, she flirtatiously only asks for his ID and laughs when I ask if she wants to see mine. He and I are the same age, by the way, but our waitress doesn't seem to care. She then delivers our drinks, but still only speaks to my husband. In fact, after asking if he would like another drink, she ignores me. My husband gets her attention (clearly) and orders me another drink but she takes her time getting it. In the meantime, we order food which arrives late, cold and not worth the money. The nachos were stale and cold, and the chicken wrap was unimpressive. Mind you, we have been here many times, but--because of the disrespectful waitress and disappointing food--this time will be our last. read more
