I just had an amazing customer service experience at the Newington NH Petsmart…read more I brought in my black lab puppy in for first time grooming services, and to pick up some items. Tori expertly groomed Nina, being careful of a recent leg injury. Then Nicole suggested Jamie to fit the pup with a harness (I had been having trouble finding the right fit). Jamie made the experience fun for Nina. and we found the right fit. Nicole recommended two chews, and discussed several other puppy needs, as she herself had a Lab. Nelos did a great job at the register, and all four employees created a happy and comfortable experience for us. In these days of staffing shortages and short tempers, it was uplifting to deal with such excellent customer service representatives.

PetSmart usually has what I'm looking for for dog food, so that's always been fine - no complaints…read morethere. The only real problem I have with any PetSmart really is the lack of care when it comes to the Betta fish. I'm definitely not a fan of walking past the Bettas in the front of any store and seeing dead fish still in their cups, next to any live ones that are left. I understand any store can be busy, but there's no excuse for any employee to walk by the fish and not remove the deceased. It looks bad to customers. The dead fish were mentioned to a cashier and the cashier did not seem to care. Please do better.

I have had many, many animals over the years and have been to many pet stores all over the country…read more And I'm not sure you could find a more knowledgeable person than Dom. He's the owner but is totally hands-on...not just a behind-the-scenes guy. He's right out there, scooping fish, chatting with customers about their pets, giving AWESOME advice about food, treats, medications, whatever you need. Even making deliveries for orders! (C'mon...what owner does that??) This guy KNOWS his product. He's just a really nice, kind, caring person who makes it very obvious that you as well as your pet are 100% happy with whatever you've purchased. So if you have ANY questions about, well, pretty much anything, he's your man. PSP in Somersworth is the only one I've been to so I can't attest to how others are run. And they're all privately owned franchises so they can differ greatly. But however you feel about the others, don't let it sway you from going here. It's always clean, well stocked and it's very convenient (next to Market Basket in Somerworth,NH...tax free! Woohoo!!) It even has designated parking in front of the store. You can even get your food delivered the same day! For FREE!!! There's also a sale rack in front which is nice. Something I learned last time I was in is that anything that is returned but has been opened goes to local shelters. (Love that!) Make sure to go on the web site and get on the mailing list, too. You will get coupons for 10-20% off your whole order and you'll also get points for watching 20 second videos, doing little animal quizzes etc. Points = money so you get up to $20 off your order at a whack. What's not to like about that?? You will always see people with their furry friends in there shopping and there's always a bowl of cool water for them, if needed. I'm not affiliated with this store in any way. I'm just a very happy customer that wants to make sure people know how awesome this place is.
