Refuses to acknowledge my online orders and also refuses to honor their price match policies.

Scheduled my 7 month old puppy for a groom. I completed an extensive online check-in only to be turned away because they found that she had a small matt near her ear. They told me to take her to the vet and reschedule her for a groom after it was removed (??). Not something I'm paying for a Vet Office Visit for! Let me say that we brush our dog out at least 2xper week. This is a very small matt at best. They should have included a statement on this as part of the check in so we could look her over before taking time and effort to drop her off. It seems that they were doing everything in their power not to take care of her. We will NOT be going back. BEWARE Petsmart Portsmouth Grooming. Just another sign of the times-people not wanting to work that hard. Shameful! read more

I just had an amazing customer service experience at the Newington NH Petsmart. I brought in my black lab puppy in for first time grooming services, and to pick up some items. Tori expertly groomed Nina, being careful of a recent leg injury. Then Nicole suggested Jamie to fit the pup with a harness (I had been having trouble finding the right fit). Jamie made the experience fun for Nina. and we found the right fit. Nicole recommended two chews, and discussed several other puppy needs, as she herself had a Lab. Nelos did a great job at the register, and all four employees created a happy and comfortable experience for us. In these days of staffing shortages and short tempers, it was uplifting to deal with such excellent customer service representatives. read more

Took my dog there to be groomed a week ago as my usual groomer had her husbands funeral to plan and was out indefinitely, brought my dog in for her appointment and was told because of her size it would be up to 3 hours before she would be done, I was taken aback as normally my regular groomer would always have her done within an hour and a half, this is a complete groom with wash, dry, clip, nails and ear cleaning. I still left her as she really needed work done on her, and I left to find something to do for 3 hours. I specifically asked to have her hair cut back along with paw trim and having her butt trimmed close for hygienic reasons. Upon my return tired and ready to go home to Maine , I found my dog still wasn't done, so I waited another half hour, and then she came out, she looked washed yes but she was barely touched as far as a cut, her paws were done poorly, her butt hair was basically as long as when she came in at the beginning, the girls were all cooing about what a great job they had done, and nothing has been done! A 155.00 dollars later I was silently fuming as I left. I will never return here again and I strongly suggest no one else does either!!! read more

This is a new location and since it opened I have only been there a handful of times. The least few times I wanted to take my dog in to have her nails clipped. After checking their website, I did see that the store was open till 9 pm with the grooming center open till then as well. I stopped in around 6:30 or so and the grooming center was closed. I was told that they closed at 5. I did let the representative know that their website says 9 pm so they may want to address that. I stopped in the next morning only to see that they were having an open house and were not doing any grooming services till 12:30 pm. I wasn't aware of this, saw no advertisements for it, and the representative from the prior night didn't mention. I did their open house and groom are tour, got my gift bag, and spoke to a few of the groomers themselves. To waste time, I went around and ran some other errands. Came back at 12:30 like I said I would only to find out that they needed a copy of her rabies vaccination. Again, nothing I was told about of was asked of me prior. I did get a "Didn't one of our salon groomers ask you this earlier?" So needless to say, my dog's nails didn't get clipped. And I will no longer be going to PetSmart. I understand the need for certain documentation, but I don't understand how as a business there can be so little communication to the customer. Incorrect information (business hours) on the website is just inexcusable for a corporation such as this. And all these reps are salespeople. As salespeople, you are supposed to ask probing questions to find out more about the customer in an effort to learn more about them so that you can provide the best services to them. That did not happen in any way. So instead of going back there for a 4th time, I will go to a local groomer who cares more about their customers and can help me and my dog better. PetSmart can add this review to their list of growing complaints regarding their salon/grooming services. I'm out! read more

I had the worst experience at Petsmart in Newington New Hampshire yesterday. I have taken my dog to many Petsmart's in New Hampshire and Florida and have had wonderful service. Yesterday I had an appointment at the Newington's NH Petsmart since the Petsmart I usually take my dog to for grooming had no available appointments. I had a 2:15 appointment and they called me to see if I could bring my dog earlier because they had a cancellation which I said great I will come up. It's about 17 miles each way and I was planning on dropping him off and doing some shopping for the Fourth of July. When I got there I was put to the third degree they came out and assessed his leg function and asked if he was on any medication which he has been on an antidepressant for about five years now. I was told they would not groom him because of the medicine because they felt that he would be drowsy and not be able to stand for two hours. All his records from Previous grooming at Petsmarts were great and they can check that because they do keep records at all the different locations. I then had to turn around and go home with the dog because it was about 85° in New Hampshire and my friend and I were unable to get him groomed and do some errands even though I accommodated them. I also was afraid they would contact my other wonderful Petsmart grooming locations and not allow him to be groomed at any pet smarts. Dog owners beware , do you not get your dog groomed at this place. read more

Meredith is so awesome and patient! She takes such great care of my extra large, nervous nelly of a standard poodle. She knows exactly how to handle Napoleon (he doesn't like the blow dryer in his face! Go figure,who does?) and has remembered his little preferences. The hours of the salon are different than the store (sometimes before the regular store opens too! Definitely check) and you need an appointment. When he comes out he is so soft! The store just opened up relatively recently, and it seems like they started with one or two groomers and are adding on. I've noticed the salon is busier and busier each time we go. It's not a surprise since they're so good. They have a closed in "waiting area" for you and your dog that is the BEST. Leo used to go into other pet stores in the past thinking he was getting a treat and the second he saw me speaking with the grooming department he'd try to exit stage right. Or pee...in front of the doors (uggghhh). So, I would try to clean it up, hold the dog running for the door, while trying to talk to someone. This disaster is now avoided, and I don't leave the groomers looking like I was just in a hurricane. Their prices are reasonable too! read more
