I started with Jessi years before she moved to downtown Portsmouth. I followed her there, then to Kittery, and now she's moving to York. I would follow her to the moon because she really is that good. On top of it all, Jessi is a professional. Her communication is excellent and she manages her schedule well - she has never been late and always finishes at or before the time promised.

Pawtsmouth Grooming did a great job grooming my dog, however I didn't hear their text message announcing when he was done as I was distracted due to a work meeting. Totally my fault and I apologized profusely when I picked up my dog 1 hr late. I even provided a generous tip on top of the surcharge I was penalized with. However Jesse was inconsolable and extremely upset, and red with rage. She told my wife and I that we could no longer use their services.....not that I wanted to after that experience. My advice to others is to be aware that she is VERY short-tempered, seems to have anger issues, and there are no 2nd chances. I believe I saw another review from someone named Jesse that described a similar behavior. Whatever you do, don't be late picking up your dog no matter what the excuse.

One morning I called her and told her that my dog had been throwing up and she told me she doesn't want to see him and she would reschedule. The next time I brought him, she charged me an extra $75 for the cancelation fee for canceling late. However, I didn't cancel, she told me she would reschedule. She made that decision and not me and then charged me an extra $75. She also spoke down to me for spending 4 hours on him and told me I need to do better. However they charge for each hour.

It's also very uncomfortable that they wont even let you inside the building to see where your dog is being cared for and groomed. We moved from Florida when she was 2 and she never had any issues at the groomer down there so I would not trust these people with your dog.
