The classes went okay at first until the end of them when the trainer said we're going to work on "socializing". The other dog was much much larger and quickly came over to ours and overpowering, literally pinning our dog to the ground. The trainer stated that our dog would "bite or bark when they don't feel safe" but instead, our little dog simply lied down and peed himself because he was so scared... This evidently caused behavioral issues with our puppy and caused him to be scared of other dogs and strangers. HIGHLY do NOT recommend bringing your dog here to be trained... Also the prices of items there are absurd

Then, from behind the counter, a woman stood up and said "yes?" I could see on her PC she was watching a movie. I really felt like I was interrupting her. Sorry about that. I told her what I was looking for. She said they don't carry it, but could order it. I said "that's fine. How much is it?" She didn't know, but would call me on Monday. She measured my dog and took my number. I was thinking I should just go to Another pet store, but I figured, what the hell. I'll just have to wait a few days. No biggie. She never called. I'm not surprised. This proprietor gave up. The place was dumpy. Boxes were all over the place. So sad. I'm sure she has a lot of debt and her own money in this business. No doubt this happens to a lot of businesses. Too bad, because it doesn't have to.

She hade Lyme disease and flea problems and…read moretick problems but they were up front with me and I bonded with her instantly and took her anyway. She was free from Lyme disease after some treatment and we treated her with medication for the tick and flea problems but they and she was all cleared up in 3 months time. She was so smart and loving but now she is dying. Arbor Veterinary gave her the rabies shot in the wrong place and paralyzed her and she may have 2 days left she is in really bad shape. I can't even get her to eat anymore. She locked her jaw. I'm really going to miss her when she passes and I don't know how I'm going to come up with the money for cremation because I was scammed for $5000 and we have no more money.

This puppy was emaciated, and diagnosed with very severe pneumonia not even 3 days after being adopted by my parents. He was having problems breathing so they rushed him to the vet. The poor puppy, neglected by the spca, is now dead. My mom called them as soon as they got home from the vet with the puppy, telling them they need to pay the vet bill because this puppy has severe pneumonia which does NOT happen in a matter of a few days... the receptionist, manager, AND director did not give a f**** and basically told my mother tough sh**t. A report with the NH State Veterinarian is being filed, as well as documentation and support from my parents veterinarian, and they are also in contact with the attorney general. What the NH SPCA did was ILLEGAL and cruel to the poor puppy that is now decreased, and cruel to my parents. No human or animal should have to go through this ever again.

I was thrilled when Melissa called to say they had a cancellation and could fit him in. I was so impressed with everyone! The staff was professional and truly cared about the pets they were caring for. Teddy immediately relaxed and settled in. I was shocked when I went back to pick him up! He looked like a new dog! He smelled wonderful, the matted hair was gone and he had a new zip in his step. I can't say enough about this business ! They are truly exceptional! The staff is super nice and I never worry about leaving our girl there. They offer many services from flea baths to nails/specialty grooming and even colors! Holly comes out happy, smelling great and looking beautiful every time. We have gone to another place but they never got the "traditional" golden cut to look right but Hair of The Dog nails it every time! We recently got another Golden who will be getting groomed there as well :) highly recommend!
