After bringing my dog to their grooming dept for 7 years without incident, I brought my happy, well-adjusted 44lb dog in on Tuesday 4/22/25 for grooming. This new grooming team was so rough with my gentle and happy dog that when I went to pick him up, he darted through the doors, eager to get out. They couldn't figure out how to put on his collar. They were not only inept, but cruel and traumatized my otherwise easygoing dog. He gets along with everyone and is very mellow, but something happened with this grooming staff, and I will never, ever bring my dog back to PetSmart. I always tipped $20 to the groomers on top of the fee, so I've been happy...up until now. Never again. read more

First visit to this store. I don't typically get my dog supplies from the big box stores, but my regular place didn't have what I needed, so gave it a whirl. I was looking for dog ramps to use with the Jeep, capable of handling a 100lb Rottweiler adapting to three legs. Needed to be wide, sturdy, long enough to not be a really steep angle, and light enough that I can set up, dismantle and store in the backseat without too much difficulty. They had one, but not quite the right size. Also needed an inflatable collar (looks like a big doughnut), to keep him from licking at the incision, but didn't want the old Elizabethan (aka lampshade) type that has dogs bashing walls, spilling water bowls, and can't see where they're going and looking ridiculously pathetic the whole time. Considered raised bowls too, but decided we didn't need that as a long term purchase and I could just put the bowl on a box for now if needed (turns out he's doing fine with bowls on the floor). I couldn't find the inflatable collars, but a staff member came to ask if I needed help. He bumped this review up to 4 stars. :) He guided me back to where I had been (how did I miss them?!) and found Argo's size. Phew! He said I could return it if it wasn't the right fit. That was really good to know because it wasn't a bargain at $34.99. Though it is bigger, in that it extends farther out from the head than others I had looked at. In the end I didn't get the ramp. Ordered a different one online on sale and managed to get free shipping, which helped when tacking on expedited shipping. Went to checkout and the young lady asked if I was interested in donating some cat food to a local shelter (NHSPCA- actually where we adopted Argo from almost 6 years ago) as they just took in 200 cats and kittens and needed extra food. Yikes! She had sample cans at slightly reduced prices, from 37 cents to 67 cents each). I bought one of everything and then added a small donation to PetSmart charities on the bill as well. PetSmart offers training classes, though I've never used their services. I've come across people who have. Some were pleased and others not. It's a small space, with several dogs and their people packed in for each session. Too claustrophobic for me, and for some dogs, those close quarters can be really stressful. Hard to teach things like come on recall from a distance. I'm not sure how much experience the trainers have either, to address issues that might come up outside of the prescribed "curriculum". Probably for an introduction to basic manners and obedience it can be helpful, particularly for new dog owners. Some training is far preferable to none at all. read more

Than they said they'll rush. 2 hours later I get a call she's done. When I picked her up they raved about how amazing she was to groom. Next day I'm petting her and find that they CUT HER and never even mentioned it to me on pick up. This is in regards to the grooming facility within the store. I have been bringing my elderly lab here for over a year to have his nails trimmed. He is almost 14 and has arthritis in his hind quarters. I always mention this when someone new is taking care of him. Just for reference, he is an extremely sweet, gentle dog and often can be seen kissing them as they clip his nails. We dropped him off and was doing some shopping in the store when my husband saw the groomer grabbing his hind quarters and roughly shifting him on the table repeatedly. He then saw her raise her hand to hit him. At that point, i sent in another employee to stop her behavior. I do not know the groomer's name but she had long black curly hair. I will NEVER take my dog back there again. It is unfortunate since we have had very good employees take care of our dog before. I have to say, that groomer was very lucky since I do not take kindly to anyone abusing animals, especially mine! read more

I have been going to the Pet Smart in Epping,NH for years, buying crickets for my bearded dragon, and buying accessories for him and my hedge hogs. We stopped bringing our dogs because one person was making our dog bleed while clipping his nails and my husband had to stop her. Today I went to buy crickets and the person working in the fish and cricket area was cleaning fish tanks and pulling dead fish out of tanks. So I asked someone else to get my crickets. This first person took over and went to reach for crickets. I asked her to wash her hands first and she got a major attitude. Then I found out she is the manager. Really?! These people have no animal training. She should have automatically washed her hands. Fish tanks have a lot of bacteria. Never again. Too bad because there are a lot of good people that care. Let me 1st say we have been going here for over 9 years and have never had a issue before It was a different puppy but nails are nails and a good groomer would know how to get it done.Giving this groomer one Star is a stretch. When I went in I told her I did not care about the bath or anything else. The most important thing and the REASON I went was to have his nail cut down and grinded. because the last tine she did not grind them and we lived with his razor sharp nails and I did NOT want to go through that again. So when I checked him in I was VERY clear. so 2hrs later no call, no text I walked in and his groomer Casey was sitting down and he was in the back in the cage. I asked if he was all set and she said no I need to do his nails and brush his teeth. Soooo after another 20 minutes she said he was done. When I went back in his nails were soooooo sharp!!!! I asked her why she didn't grind them?!?! She said "he really wasn't in the mood for that" are you kidding me?!?! He's a chocolate Lab! He's always in the mood for anything! They wouldn't let me help, they wouldn't help each other. They said well you could probably take him to the vet to have them do it. I get to the register and she tried to charge me 60.00!!!!! So long story short I did not pay the 60.00! And we will NOT be back! We left with razor sharp nails! Waste of my time and money! read more

If I could I wouldn't even give this store one star. Yes it's a good thing we have this pet store in that location because driving to Manchester can be a far drive for pet supplies. I have gone to this location a few times to see if maybe just my experience was a misunderstanding employee. But every time I go I feel as though the people working are uneducated about animals and instead of working with the customer they make up excuses. For example: I have a chinchilla, have had one for 3 years now. I have always bought the same large size 'silent spinner' wheel I say always because I buy them every several months. Aggressive runner. Possibly my 3rd time going into this epping location I saw they did not have the 'silent spinners' wheel in the largest size, so I grabbed the hamster side to bring to an employee to ask if they were going to order the larger ones anytime soon.. The employee turns there head and yells to the manager who was in an office who replied "they do not make them in that size" .... Which is a lie. Since I have been buying these wheels for years. Instead of helping me, the manager lied to my face to make it seem like I was stupid for even asking. Pet supply companies are there to teach and educated pet owners, and by saying something doesn't exist isn't actually doing that. I feel as though the employees currently working at this location need some more training. And maybe a course in customer service. read more

I'm leaving PetSmart grooming services. I've been a customer for many years. I have three dogs and for some unknown reason they always seem to be wrestling with their scheduling software. The most recent event was the final straw. I made the effort to schedule all three dogs at the same time, I knew this may be a challenge for them so I made the effort to make the appointment in person. We talked dates and times and was given an appointment for all three. When I showed up they told me they they had no record of the three appointments. I took the day off to vote and do other errands like getting the dogs groomed. I asked to speak with the store manager who was no help other than telling me he would have someone call me. When they called the next day (today) they said they were sorry they had computer problems and that they were sorry ( I have heard this too many times) and would I like to rebook. No thank you PetSmart, I will now be bringing my business elsewhere. read more

Employees here are really nice and informative! They always accept my coupons and my dog loves going in this location. I pretty much all my pet supplies here and have been doing so for over a year. Prices are competitive with the Petperks card especially. I just tried out the grooming salon over the weekend, they let me use two coupons and gave my pupa special treatment that made him smell incredible. They did not complain about the accident he had, having this been his first grooming experience he was a little nervous. He looked, smelled and behaved great after his spa morning. He was very relaxed for the next two days after visiting. We go here a couple times a week, never have had a bad experience. read more

This past weekend, I brought my 1 year and 5 month old Pit Mix to be groomed (bath, nail trim, etc). I made my appointment online and under the package I chose, it specifically listed nail trimming. I usually do my grooming at home with him, but just recently my little guy is not so fond of me trimming his nails and rather than struggle with him, I figured I'd let the "professionals" do the job. When I went to pick him up, the lady handed me my receipt and I went to the front to pay while they grabbed my pup from out back. I paid $31.99 and went back to grab him and take him home. When I got home, I noticed... NONE of his nails were trimmed. The ONLY thing out of the multiple services listed for the package I bought that I could tell that was done was that he got a bath. I paid $32 for a bath only? It also took TWO HOURS to just bathe him? I plan to call today to express my disappointment. I've only used PetSmart grooming one other time in the past and I wasn't happy then either. I am a bit nervous as to what goes on during the grooming process as the two times I've brought my pup there, he seems quite stressed when I picked him up. read more

Be careful with this PetSmart grooming location. My dog now has random patches of hair growing at different rates since they didn't cut him with all the same number shaver. I was told "he was very difficult to cut". Fully understandable but yet if you can't complete a job, don't begin it and leave the poor dog looking like he just walked out of a fight with lawnmower! read more

Avoid the fish dept. I went there Jan 5th, 2018 to buy fish to add to each of my 5, 10 and 30 gal tanks that only had bettas in them. Nobody was in the dept. in the time at all and when I finally got help it was from some "know it all" hotshot who said she would not sell me anything to go with bettas, also arrogantly assumed I had no heaters in my tanks. I just left disgusted, not wanting to deal with her ignorance. I went to Pet City in Seabrook on Jan. 22nd and Tom advised what would be compatible. Got 2 black phantom tetras, 3 cherry barbs and 1 glass catfish. All are happy and enjoying their life with the bettas. read more

We brought our Yorkie to be groomed. She was fine when we dropped her off. When my wife picked her up a few hours later she was not doing well, She was having a hard time breathing, Later that night we had to rush her to the Vet at 2:30am. Her trachea had collapsed. We lost our little Bubala the next day. Our hearts our broken. Just makes me wonder what happened there. Of course we were told that there was not any problems. This review is for Laura in grooming. I have a standard poodle who I know is difficult to cut and mats easy. Every time my Bella has seen Laura she always comes back so pretty! Laura is truly an asset to the grooming salon. She is absolutely amazing at grooming, takes her time, and is great with my dog!! Bella never gets nervous to go see Laura. It's like she know who she is and is happy to see her. Laura is very caring and as a pet owner you want to know your family is being taking care of. Thank you Laura!!!! Your truly the best!!!! Now, let's add a review on Bella's last haircut that wasn't with Laura. It was with the grooming salon manager who has supposedly been grooming for 15 years. Well, My dog came home with an uneven cut.! There was absolutely no effort put into her. She even came home with a tick on her!!! Apparently she said she didn't know if it was a mole or a tick. Now if you live in NH, and have been grooming for 15 years how can you not tell the difference between a tick and a mole?? And why wasn't anyone informed when picking up my dog that there might be a possible (tick )or (mole) on her. So just because you have been grooming for years doesn't mean you know what your doing or are even good at what you do. I would not recommend seeing anyone at this grooming salon unless her name is Laura!!! Once again Laura does an amazing job every time and I appreciate her taking so much time with our Bella! The employees seem nice and helpful, and they have a nice selection of pet products. Their pets also seem relatively healthy. But one thing people should look out for is their freshwater Ghost Shrimp. They are usually used as feeder shrimp, but some people also keep them as pets. A friend of mine got about 20 of them since they were so cheap and kept them as pets. But after they were taken home, they started attacking other species in the tank, and were also killing each other. When they went to return the shrimp, there were many dead in the store tank and those shrimp were also attacking each other. This is not normal for Ghost Shrimp; it is usually common in Whisker Shrimp and Macro (Prawn) Shrimp, which both look similar to Ghost Shrimp. After reading more about this problem, I found that other people have also had this experience getting "Ghost Shrimp" from other PetSmart stores. My advice is to buy Ghost Shrimp from another store, or maybe watch the shrimp for a while to see if they start attacking each other. I'm not sure how they are as feeder shrimp, but it could possibly pose a threat to the fish they're being fed to. read more

Love this location! Everyone is very friendly, and the groomers always do there best work! Especially when it comes to trimming my dogs nails. My dog hates having her nails trimmed and they always manage to calm her down and make her feel comfortable, as if she was there pet. I definitely recommend this Petsmart to everyone. read more
