I stupidly went here the day before departing for a cruise which basically ruined my dining experience for the next week. All jokes aside, this was an inventive, and more important, fantastic meal. I've been to several acclaimed high-end vegan establishments and this one hangs with the best of them. The meal took a little over 2 hours. Every dish was explained, presented nicely and there was just a wonderful array of textures, temperatures, tastes and smells. Most dishes were plated distinctly as well which was a nice touch. I also had the best mocktail I've ever tried. Actually worth the price in my opinion. The interior and exterior of the building is elegant. Service is excellent. I consider the whole experience to be very thoughtful. On the only neutral note, I will say I'm not one to dress up and even wearing a collared shirt I still felt a bit dressed down. I was also not a huge fan of the current entree dish which is a large mushroom ravioli. I didn't take a picture of it either as it doesn't present the best. It was good though. All in all I'm definitely interested in returning when there's a fresh menu!

The historic gas lamp flickering light along the way up the beautiful stairs & entering through the solid oak door into another world must be how it felt to go through the wardrobe into Narnia! It's as if you enter into an old master painting & become part of the scene. The romantic ambiance envelops you with the soft lighting making the onyx bar shimmer & the dark wood tones warm the intimate space drawing you in. The rarity of such an exquisite dining experience makes this date night an exceptionally memorable one. Seated at a linen clothed table & napkins along with spotless sparkling glasses vintage cuts, real candle light, & French silver cutlery laid out in perfect form & comfortable chairs in a room with soft peachy overtones that makes everyone look good, a chandelier, old master paintings on the wall felt like you are in an elegant timeless private salon. We felt so well cared for & treated there by everyone. The service was exceptional. The attention to detail & engagement of the senses outstanding & heightened the overall experience. The culinary performance was worthy of Michelin stars. It exceeded all expectations in presentation, flavors & tastes, seasonal creativity & pairings & textures. The food engaged all the senses & was paced at a leisurely rate to thoroughly enjoy & savor every single bite or sip of the non-alcoholic pairings. We heard about Elizabeth's from the International Conference on Nutrition in Medicine where top global nutrition experts Dr Neal Barnard, Dr Michael Greger, Dr Kristi Funk, among others herald the power of plant based eating to prevent & reverse disease optimizing health, wellbeing & longevity with every antioxidant bite of food. Transforming to a plant based lifestyle for our health, the sanctity of animals & the planet is a valued choice that becomes rewardingly affirming with exceptional restaurants like Elizabeth's that offer such a remarkable & tantilizing experience. Thank you so very much to everyone at Elizabeth's. Elizabeth's is a truly exceptional place & I highly recommend it to everyone.

One the best vegan dining experience you can have. The food, atmosphere and staff is as close to perfect as you can get. The culinary delights were exceptional and delighted the taste bud whiles being visually entertaining. The atmosphere spoke to a time class and taste rarely found today. The Staff was so friendly, knowledgeable and engaging it was a absolute pleasure. Certainly a breath of fresh air to experience the professionalisn that so hard to find.

Elizabeth's reminds me of an ever changing art gallery, that features a different artist weekly. I am not vegan, but my friend who has invited me a few times, is, and goes there on a regular basis. She loves sharing this gem with her friends! I was blown away by the edible creations, really too pretty to eat, but once I did, experienced tastes and textures totally new. The sommeliers and servers are knowledgeable, warm, and poetically share how the delicacy before you was created and/or infused with plants, fruits or food items I have never heard of before. For a non-vegan it is quite an education. The food is brought to your table in total rhythm; if music could be something to see, that is what if felt like. I am also totally unfamiliar with wines and pairings, so the descriptions of the wines, where they were from, the age, notes and what they were to bring out in the food was a mini-trip around the world for me. As good as the food and atmosphere is, nothing compares to Elizabeth and her associates. They are genuinely happy to see you, take their time with you and pleasantly answer any questions you may have. It's like visiting your favorite relatives in the country that are so happy to see you and can't do enough to make you feel special. Bravo to this amazing restaurant that while totally sophisticated and classy, gives you a sense of comfort and wonder.

I had the best time at Elizabeth's! It is always such a treat to come in and see what's new but the new happy hour truly blew me away. Jared is always so happy to answer any questions I have about the menu and drinks and Spencer made me feel very welcome. I will absolutely be coming back and this is a must-try for any DC local or traveling vegan! Thank you Elizabeth's!

Amazing happy hour, great bar service, and delicious food and drinks - I will absolutely be coming back.

One time deal for me. I was super excited to come and experience a fully vegan pre fixed dinner. I had seen nice pics and read good reviews but I was let down. I had made a reservation for 6PM. Went it and saw we were probably just the second table of the time and yet for a couple we were pushed all the way to the side in the most awkward table I had seen. There was a pillar wall next to me and that made the mood unappealing for the price we had paid for. I expected to get a good table location if not one of the best they had for being their second table. Rest of the dinning room was great with soothing low light and art accentuated wall. The food was completely hit and miss. Some of the parts of a dishes were great but most led me hanging, asking would I ever come back here again? My answer was definitely not.

For a vegan tasting menu, this has exceeded my expectations. What an experience! The ambiance was very cozy and romantic, the staff was attentive, and my partner and I spent 3 hours doing the tasting menu+wine pairing, which flew by with good conversation and food. I have included pictures of of some of the dishes, but we turned the menu upside down to keep the excitement high when the staff explained what our meals would be. I HIGHLY recommend avoiding the photos and letting yourself fully experience the surprises! We started off with the optional cheese plate, since we rarely get opportunities to order vegan cheese plates. The middle cheese was our least favorite, but the other two cheeses and peach jam were delicious and tasted very fresh. We did not regret getting it! Some of my favorites were the Roasted Cauliflower Soup (unique flavor) and Charred Avocado Mezzaluna (rich umami/meaty flavor). We also appreciated that they brought out a crispy appetizer that was not on the menu to hold us over before starting the tasting menu. The wine pairing is what made us feel as though we were truly experiencing fine dining. The sommelier brought out a different drinks before each food item (sakes, wines, beers, etc.), explained the different notes within it that should be tasted with each bite. He also took us through a picturesque journey in the snow with each drink, which was a fun little addition. If it were up to me, I would have included a few more reds, but I am obviously biased. The melon beer was definitely the best drink - trust me! Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would recommend it to anyone who was celebrating a special event. However, make sure you reserve in advance - they fill up quickly and we finally got lucky finding two seats!

Everything about our evening was amazing! The physical restaurant lends to quiet intimacy, loved the actual building! The service was exceptional, all servers and staff were friendly, and clearly loved their job and the food! Every dish we had was decadent! The servers described each dish with great detail which added to our enjoyment. Highly recommend!!!

My boyfriend surprised me with reservations here in July, and this place makes you feel like a VIP for sure. Walked on, pleasantly greeted by the hostess, we decided to have one pree dinner drink at the bar, which they politely carried to our table on a tray so.we could finish at dinner. The food and presentation were A1! They were do coordinated with placing plates on the table, and just the whole routine. The food is damn good...we are both plant eaters, and food lovers for sure, these meals had quality flavor...there were times where we had to tell ourselves (and each other) to slow down but it was just good! And we left full! I know these pics aren't the greatest, but tbh, this is such an experience, that you just don't want to be bothered with your phone. The staf are personable (they call you by your name and welcome you as if the tablecloth was brought just for you). I highly recommend a visit.

Look, I enjoy my animal proteins quite a lot thankyouverymuch, but I have earnestly been transitioning to a more plant-forward diet due to a number reasons (hey, probably the same as yours!). Mosty I admire how the best plant-based chefs can make their recipes flavorful and filling...because it's literally more difficult from a scientific point of view (glutamates, etc.)! Over the course of two lunches and dinner offered by Simply Vegan, I can say that Nikevia really topped the charts in terms of wonderful vegan chefs. The multi-course menus were hearty, fresh, FLAVORFUL and delicious without feeling heavy at all. She had a wonderful touch with flavored waters (yes, she even flavors them better than anyone I've known!) and personal service. I very much hope that I find the occasion to have her cater an event that I organize! Or, at the very least, that others will take this review as a serious endorsement of her cooking chops. Please consider this wonderful chef and her company for your next event. Thank you, Nikevia!!

I ended up really enjoying it! I got the Taiwanese Fried Cashew Mozzarella Croquettes (House-made plant-based cashew mozzarella rolled in Taiwanese fry batter, drizzled w/Korean ketchup) It ended up being delicious, balanced, and garlicky. They were like fried shells that were then stuffed with liquid cashew cheese which was an interesting idea for me for making things like that more simply at home. The lettuce and sauces were so good with it. They also let me try the Chinese five spice agave syrup they use on their dessert egg roll when I asked about it. The texture and flavor for both make for such a nice meal in combination with the rest of the bowl. The noodle dishes (not as flavorful) or beef dishes (especially for meat eaters the texture can put people off) wouldn't be the first things I'd get. I also prefer to get the salad as my base bc the rice can be a little greasy at times and the crunch is nice. I like the dumplings for sides, but the star for me is always the dessert! Here's how I see it:…read more MITA delivered a dining experience that felt thoughtful from the first course to the final spoonful. As someone who does not typically gravitate toward vegetarian/vegan menus, the meal felt especially fresh and quietly innovative--proof that vegetable-forward cuisine, when handled with this level of intent, can be just as compelling, layered, and satisfying as any traditional tasting menu. Opting for the Camino Corto menu proved to be a well-judged choice. Paired with the supplemental arepas, it offered a generous and satisfying progression without ever feeling heavy. The arepas--served with guasacaca, cashew sour cream, and chontaduro butter--were an excellent addition, setting a warm, flavorful tone and easily standing as a highlight on their own. From there, the menu unfolded with precision and clarity. The picaron with persimmon, lúcuma, and huacatay was playful yet composed. The arracacha with fava beans, plantain, and mushroom dashi brought depth and umami-driven warmth, while the watermelon ceviche with white soy, cilantro, and quinoa delivered brightness and balance. The malanga course offered satisfyingly to-the-perfect point chewy texture, and the arroz con gandules--pigeon peas, sofrito, and sea beans--managed to feel both comforting and refined, a balance not easily achieved. Dessert, a modern bienmesabe with coconut sponge, coconut praline, and pineapple sorbet, closed the meal with elegance and lift. What stood out most was how seamlessly the kitchen elevated vegetables beyond expectation--never as substitutes, but as the main event. Each dish felt intentional, expressive, and complete. Service mirrored the cuisine in its composure and warmth: attentive without intrusion, polished without stiffness. There is a quiet confidence throughout MITA that allows guests to settle in and fully engage with the experience. This is the kind of restaurant that shifts perspective--where even a dedicated omnivore leaves not missing anything, but instead discovering something new. It would have helped if they had made the menu public so we knew what to expect before sitting down. The Malanga Gnocchi was a letdown. As a main course, it felt uninspired and lacked the "wow" factor I expected from a place with this reputation. Overall, I felt the dishes could have been much more inventive. For a Michelin-level spot, the flavors felt a bit safe and didn't showcase the full potential of plant-based Latin cuisine. While I noticed some updating--there's more wood paneling, and the menu is sleeker, for lack of a better word--the restaurant still has a warm, friendly vibe with sunflower imagery throughout. The menu is a twist on Asian food, with plenty of analogues, chunks of soy and/or wheat protein, and some vegetables. It's not all vegan--a few dishes have dairy and/or honey, and I suspect one of the noodle dishes uses egg noodles--but those items are clearly marked. We were last there on Thanksgiving and tried a few new things. The veggie kabob reminded me a bit of the kabob at the late, lamented Harmony Cafe in Georgetown. Sure, I'll get that again. I'm not so sure about the mushroom dish. I do love mushrooms, but perhaps this isn't the way to go about it. On prior visits, we've gone with old familiars. The fried "chicken" appetizer (chunks of soy protein and mushrooms fried and served with a spicy ketchup) are a classic. I am still trying to find my go-to entree.
