The Tea Bar has a very nice ambience seems like a fairy tale vibe. They do have a good verity of boba drinks and ice cream. I got the pistachio ice cream which tasted pretty good! We got the Labyrinth (jasmine green tea latte), and Prophecy(black tea latte), I would rate presentation as 9/10; however the taste of drinks was lacking it could have been better. The drinks felt too watery, service was a bit slow, hosts were nice but it did take a long time to order, and to pay. I hate to be a downer, but I hated my experience here and do not plan on coming back. The atmosphere/ambiance is a 10/10. My friends and I came here after dinner on a Thursday night. It was extremely hard to find as there are no signs, but a nice lady in the smoke shop downstairs asked us if we were looking for the boba shop and told us it was up the stairs if you step into the entryway of the shop there are some stairs to the right. We waited about 45 minutes in line down the staircase. There were about 6 parties ahead of us, but after we got seated... I understood why it took so long. The shop was completely understaffed. My group ordered the 6 drink flight (which looked amazing in the Yelp photos) and one scoop of ice cream. The ice cream came out quickly, but the girl got our order wrong... she was extremely nice, but as she was the only one helping all the tables, she probably couldn't remember our order. Afterwards she came back asking what flavor we had ordered and brought out the correct flavor. After we finished our ice cream... we waited... SO LONG for the boba flight. It was about an hour until the drinks came out... and the flight stand only came with four drinks as two of the cups were broken. We were not informed when we had ordered and it would have been really nice to let us know as we ordered it to take photos. The remaining two drinks came out later in regular cups. We were very disappointed. The host and server were so kind and sweet, but I don't understand why it took an hour for our drinks to come out... At one point we wanted to just cancel the drinks so that we could leave, but at the same time we had waited so long that it felt like such a waste of our time to cancel. After we got the drinks, we took quick photos, asked for to go cups, and left. I think there is a lot of promise to Elixir Tea Bar, but I would avoid until they get everything in order. The Elixir Tea Bar is a cute little upstairs bar that brings you to another world. This is a 100% non-alcoholic bar that serves craft boba drinks and ice cream. We had the opportunity to try various boba drinks in my party (passed around and sampled) as well as the chocolate ice cream. The ice cream was amazing, but the boba was a little sweet (I normally order at half sweetness and forgot to this time). We enjoyed the music, too! The one drawback was that we came before their grand opening, and they were still working out service kinks. Neat vibe but really disorganized and no customer service. Don't buy the coins. Also try Requiem in Anaheim instead. The staff while very pleasant are frequently disorganized. They run out of menu items a lot. There is always a line so just expect to wait. They don't respond to phone calls or IG messages. They are currently selling gold coin/VIP membership which in the future either mean you get perks or it's the only way you can get in. It's not exactly clear what actual benefits are. My friend bought one and unfortunately left it behind in the booth. When she inquired about a replacement she was basically told by the owner "you're out of luck" True aren't any rules or policies laid out when you purchase the gold coin/vip membership so I guess we shouldn't have any expectations. However I'm assuming the lack of rules and policies are meant to cover up mistakes made by the management. Very near future I fully expect the gold coins to be totally worthless because they are sold as just coins on the menu. Also a tip for the owner if you read review which I'm guessing you don't. If you're getting frequent complaints or inquires regarding a specific issue or matter. HONEST REVIEW... sorry it is long. Had seen this on IG, heard from a friend it was cool. Had Portland friends visiting and thought that we could all check this place out. It started off great we waited to be seated by Zelda who was very sweet and sat us at our table. Place was pretty empty but we're enjoying the music and unique decor. Boba might need more time to cook as it was still a bit hard. TRAGICALLY, it was ALL DOWNHILL FROM THERE! Our waitress came over and NEVER introduced themselves by name so we are clueless as to her name but she wanted to take our orders straight away. We had explained it was our first time there and needed a few minutes to look at the menu and such. She came back and kinda KILLED THE VIBE for the 4 of us. We could tell from her TONE and TENSE FACE that she DID NOT WANT TO SERVE US. She PUSHED MAGIC UPGRADE TWICE before she left with our orders...which we declined nicely both times since we just wanted to take everything in this visit. She mentioned 2 of us got a free refill since we had smaller cups which we thought was cool. We got our drinks and about 10 mins later, as we were trying to catching up and enjoy the vibes, she returned again and interrupt our conversation to ask if we wanted to try some magic. We again declined (3 times now) and she asked if we wanted a refill already to which our cups still had tea but we were okay. She came back yet again and interrupted our conversation to ask if we wanted a refill or try magic. As my drink was 2/3 gone, she asked if I wanted my refill, she stood there silently and never mentioned she needed the cup back to give me a refill. Most places just hand you another cup or refill at your table. Since I had to figure it out on my own that she needed the cup, I was forced to chug my drink so she can take the cup. About 10 mins later she came back to close us out without us asking for it and again mentioned that we never upgraded our drinks so we would have to come back another time to do so. It made all of us FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE. Not sure if she's new to serving but it made for a PAINFUL EXPERIENCE that made me wish that I never stepped foot inside. Upon checking out she kept the payment device in her hands and at a 90 degree angle which me made it hard for me to use. She turned the device towards her for a second and turned it back as I finished out the transaction. I wish I asked for a receipt cuz $28.93 seems a bit expensive for 2 $11 drinks. My friend was so uncomfortable by this lady that she only drank half her drink. I hope this get to the owner so they can either retrain this lady or find someone who is better for their business especially if they want returning costumers. The other two employees inside the tea bar seemed to be very sweet and helpful to the ones they were helping. I have been a trainer and supervisor (8 years) at the Walt Disney company and have never seen this low level of service. This place is so magical down to every little detail. I felt so immersed the decor is really a feast for your eyes. I did not get to see the back room... that's okay -- mystery is alluring. We ordered laberynth, the coffee drink; and the jasmine green tea drink, Cookie Monster ice cream- they give samples , and cherry bing. 4 drinks 4 ice creams and 20% tip 93$. They accept credit card and Apple Pay. No cash. I got there 5:35 pm to be the first. 5:45 2nd family behind me. 6 pm the line started going down the stairs. I have been wanting to go here for months. I'm a fantasy nerd and this place looked amazing online. It did not disappoint in real life. The decor is beyond amazing. I'm giving this place 4 stars because it's a really cool place. But, the wait staff are awful. They are super fake and unpleasant. It really made me sad because we traveled to go there. From the get go our waitress obviously wanted us to leave as soon as possible. She would come by every few minutes and grab a napkin or try to get an empty cup from our table. She did not let us chill and enjoy. We also had a snafu about the menu and she could be overhead discussing our issue with the bartender loudly and with an entitled attitude. You go as if you are going to the vape shoppe and then make a quick right up an unmarked stairway. Ascend the stairway and then make a quick left and there it is! I waited a 10-15 min bit to get through the front door. They don't regulate the seats so you have to wait until an area with enough seats opens up for your group. They have a really cool set up with a lot of decor and fun lights. The staff are dressed up too, which makes it all the more interesting! Role play costumes are not required but it does make for a magical time if you do!! The night I went, about 10% of the patrons were dressed up? However, they come around and give you wands...yess they are cleaned...to "cast a spell" aka catch the smoke bubbles and put it into your drink!!!! So fun!! Saw an instagram post on this place - seemed like a really cool concept. You got a mix of imagination, non-alcoholic beverages, and some themes or knights, medieval times, and magic so what could go wrong? First entering into the line its a bit confusing but I suppose its part of the charm for the time being. It's actually not that easy to find, sort of like Diagonal Ally/Platform 9 and 3/4! So when you finally find it (in the same building unit as the psychic. There should be a decent sized line - bout 20 - 30 minutes to get in. It feels like an escape room, really similarly designed feel and props with people being sort of in character to welcome you into an experience. The drinks are pretty blah, tons of food coloring (should be a crime to serve that much food coloring) but the ice cream I had was AMAZINGGGGGGGG! This was truly the saving grace for this place. I had the Ube-Kenobi ice cream which was very interestingly delicious. I was wondering if they partnered with a local vendor to have it supplied because it was so delicious. I was curious about the cup it came in which was branded "Flavia boo" a quick yelp search revealed this was a soft serve place in NYC similar to yogurt land which closed 10 years ago.. Are they using decade old cups?! Some of the drinks come in cool glass goblets and test tubes but the staff didn't really introduce the whole menu to us. The music is really loud (they had a DJ) and it was super busy so I don't really blame them. I do think they should take some time to introduce the menu and a bit more on the experience of each drink. The focus here was definitely not quality milk tea or boba.. mostly ambiance and somewhere to be if you're wanting a loud lounge-ish place late at night (open up until 12AM). I will probably come back with different groups of friends just to show them for novelty's sake and try out different ice creams but I'm definitely good on milk teas from here. The boba and ambience here is awesome. It's very themed out and they take your experience to another level. All of the servers were in costume and in character. I went here 12/14/2023 with four of my friends for a girl's night and we were blown away by Elixir Tea Bar! They had their soft opening a few weeks ago so the menu is currently limited to boba and ice cream, but no complaints here. I got The Prophecy and shared the Java the Hut ice cream and enjoyed it all. However, the desserts aren't what really sell this place, it's the ambiance and the staff. Elixir is a little hidden, which adds to the mysterious, fantastical atmosphere. Walking into Elixir was like walking into exactly what I'd picture a bar in Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter to look like. It's really magical. All the staff were dressed up and incredibly friendly. I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't gone but I will say it's an interactive experience. I know they are still looking to add more onto the shop and I can't wait to see how it develops!! I highly recommend checking this place out when you have a craving for boba and some free time. I got the Cirenity drink to go since I stopped by on my own after getting a thai massage done in the area. The location is a bit tricky to find and also hard to find parking. The drink itself is 7/10. I have had better fruit tea in other places. The wife ordered a Cirenity and I ordered the Orale (Matcha based drink) with Almond Milk. The drinks taste as good as they look! I was worried that the almond milk would throw off the taste of the Oracle, but it worked out really well. I saw the girl making my drink pour some out and try it before serving it which was nice. I wouldn't want to serve a bad tasting drink, and I appreciate them for not doing it to me. Location: The Laguna mall is closed. There are a few restaurants / shops that are open on the perimeter of the old which makes finding Elixir a little hard. The shop is actually inside of the Kabob restaurant that faces the freeway. They do this "become a wizard" thing that they expect you to memorize. My friend has an issue with her memory and was shamed because she couldn't remember everything they just told her.
