I have been wearing glasses for over 15 years and I have never had a better experience at an optometrist office before. The front desk was super friendly and helpful when making my appointment and she was just as friendly when I arrived for my appointment. I loved the entire look of the office, it was super welcoming and even had a play area for kids which, as a parent, made me super happy. Dr. Miner was so friendly and personable, he made the entire appointment of getting my yearly eye check extremely comfortable and was very informative of everything he checked. Every other eye doctor I've been to has been kind of cold and stand offish but Dr. Miner talked and laughed with me after my appointment and I really appreciated that since I normally have anxiety at the eye doctor! I have never before had such a great experience at a doctor's office. Scheduling was a breeze, I was able to get in same day. Nancy, who works the front desk and did the preliminary tests, was so kind and personable and made me feel right at home. The doctor was great so this isn't on the actual doctor. But the receptionist left allot to be desired. First off I waited 6 days after my contacts were ordered to receive a text saying "Hello Erika, Your contacts order came in but it look like the wrong brand was ordered and your were under charged a bit so this leaves you with a balance of $188.00." This was completely unacceptable but ok whatever. The issue came when they only refunded me a portion of what I was owed. I paid $381 for contacts and they only refunded me $212 after sending the receipt. I called to ask for the rest of my money and the very rude receptionist AMBER repeated charges to me that didn't add up. When I explained they didn't add up she proceeded to tell me her system was loading then made up a bogus charge to make up the difference after she had repeated the numbers to me 5 times like I was stupid BUT THEY DIDN'T EVEN ADD UP LOL what a joke. Then they tried creating a form with additional bogus charges after they had already sent the original receipt. AVOID this place unless u ask for all pricing upfront and do not order prescription products directly from them. read more

Optical looks great and has a nice selection; however I didn't feel welcomed. First visit, new to area. Doctor did not seem to be welcoming, did not shake hand, examined eye (had a twitch) and was so dismissive of it just being coffee, stress, fatigue. New drops are out and recommended and said he'd put on a list for samples, didn't know time frame and handed me a card to go get my own. However said he had no research on the drops, good luck. Did not feel welcome and to end it all, charged me almost double. I simply do not recommend on the customer service front. I truly felt like a bother. read more

About 4 months ago I saw an add for Walmart Contacts at a discounted rate so I thought I'd give it a try: Elite was gracious to give me a copy of my prescription for me to order from Walmart- maybe it's because Elite knew I would be back. Elites customer service & reliability is A+. Anyway, let's just say a 1-800 I need contacts or even trying to get a hold of someone was a horrible experience just to order contacts and to track down my order was even worse. Ended up going to another Dr after 6 months with Elite Optical's prescription and glasses. I could not see anything clearly and was fed up. This after Elite made the lenses twice. New Dr immediately said that the frames I was sold by Elite were way to large for my face.​ Then after checking the glasses and my perscription after a new exam, the Dr said my prescription was way overpowered AND there was no compensation for my​ stigma that I have had for years. After choosing new frames at the new Dr, they measured my face and how the glasses fit letting me know most frames come in multiple sizes. Say what??? Then they used another device on the frame while I was wearing the new frames to line things up. Elite never, in four years, measured my face or made sure the frames were a right fit.​ The new Dr got my perscription right on the first try and my glasses fit! On top of all of that, the new place had 6 times the selection of frames and was almost half the cost for designer frames and lenses with every option. read more

He spends lots of time with me and I've never felt rushed or like a number. His staff is incredible too. Always so nice and they go out of their way to help. Bought a groupon here about 6 months ago and like most that I buy, I always wait until the last minute to redeem them. My groupon expired the 24th (Thanksgiving) and I called for my appointment on 21st. They were able to get me in the next day and didn't seem irritated that I waited until the last minute like some other places do. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they are rather pricey. I paid $50 for a groupon that included an eye exam, $150 toward a pair of glasses and 30% off a second pair. I needed 2 pair and still paid over $550! I arrived early for my appointment, the office and waiting area are beautifully decorated and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I looked around at the frames on display, all designer frames and in the price range of $300-$500 just for the frames! When I expressed a need for something less expensive they were more than accommodating and the optician brought me several frames in the $99-$125 range. This was all before I even saw the Dr for my exam! She was extremely helpful and it didn't take long to pick out 2 frames for the glasses I would be buying. I was then called for my eye exam and I was very impressed with the thoroughness. Dr Minor took all the time I needed to go over my options for lenses, I need a different prescription for distance, computer and reading. He was helpful and understanding and we finally decided I'd get a pair of computer only glasses (I spend most of my day at the computer) and a second pair of bifocals for distance/reading. Back out to the optician to go over options for lenses. No hard sell on upgrades, she gave me my options and suggestions for each pair, ie: no glare, scratch resistant, transition lenses etc. I felt very comfortable in the lenses and frames we picked out. They said it would take about a week or more for the glasses to be ready, and considering the holiday weekend, I was surprised when they called yesterday telling me they were ready. Stopped in this morning and picked up my glasses, had them fitted and they were perfect. They each came in one of those hard eyeglass cases that were so cute! She also gave me some eyeglass cleaner and a cleaning cloth and told me to come in anytime if I needed them adjusted. They also offer sonic cleaning of glasses and I could stop in once a month or so at no charge for a cleaning. Overall I am very happy with the service and the glasses, just wish they weren't so expensive here. read more

Dr. Miner quickly dialed in my Perscription but finding the right contact for my mild stigmatism is difficult. His staff was exceedingly patient and willing to try countless contact combinations until it is as good as it gets. I really like how they keep giving me multiple sets to try as little adjustments can make a big difference. I went to Elite Optical to get my eyes checked and get some glasses so I could see again. The first impression with the staff on the phone was great. As we worked through scheduling me for my first appointment, London (sp) was very helpful and friendly. When I got there, I filled out a piece of paper and they took me right back to see Dr. Miner. I was in/out of Elite Optical in 25 minutes. They got my glasses within 5 days and text me to notify me they were available. I have been a patient of Dr Miner since 2008. The service has always been excellent. I retired last year and needed new glasses and thought I'd try someone less expensive. I went to one of those box stores. The exam was brief and the glasses I got were never right. When I complained I got nowhere. After a few months I returned to Elite Optical to see Dr. Miner. Today I picked up my new glasses. I can see perfectly for the first time in months. I have learned my lesson. I will see Dr. Miner forever. Unfortunately my experience with Dr. Miner was not a positive one. Dr. Miner tested my eyes and explained that my RX was difficult to fit for contact lenses. He gave me five different lenses to try- none of which were successful. I mentioned my desire to use contacts to the office staff and they expressed their willingness for me to keep trying different contacts because the little variations can make a difference. When we met Dr. Miner bluntly, impatiently asked which one I picked. I explained none worked. He re-emphasized how difficult my RX which is a mild stigmatism was to fit and it wouldn't be "perfect." He lectured me like I was being unreasonable and demanding. I left without contacts and will never see him again. read more
